Solid collection here. Man, the switch really has gotten an incredible line of games across it's lifespan. I might recommend the metroid series, they got some good games like Dread and Prime Remastered. Or maybe the Xenoblade series, though they are very lovably imperfect.
Everything you're saying about obsessing over grid based combat tells me you'd love Triangle strategy. It tells a genuinely engaging storyline with top tier strategy gameplay and 10/10 visuals.
I completely no-lifed Fire Emblem Three Houses. Think I played at least five full campaigns. In terms of actual gameplay, particularly combat mechanics, I think the follow-up Engage was more interesting, but the setting, story, characters and just everything else around Three Houses hooked me like mad. And I played Three Hopes extensively as well. It's going to be a LONG time before I go back to this world because it was a major part of my gaming life this generation.
Same thing here. I genuinely did all the possible routes for the game, and even bought and completed the Ashen Wolves DLC: 465 freaking hours of my life, and it was worth every second. Still need to play Three Hopes, though.
Bro same, I poured my heart out to this game and loved every minute of it. Now I can't see myself playing it again until like another couple years or so. I am definitely more critical of it now than I was when I first played, and while I did love it, I don't think future fire emblem games should emulate the school system again. Keep the transitions between chapters shorter by using a smaller base and less "collection" mechanics. Just focus the "base" with shops and activities to boost characters stats and abilities and places to have support convos. Sommniel from engages feels much faster and is optional so you can ignore it. Obviously not as in depth as the monestary but I do want a good balance between the base and chapters.
I always prefer the more subtle realistic details to the combat mechanics and battlefields in Three Houses that were done away with in the subsequent puzzle-y bombast in Engage. I think both’s gameplay strengths represent their literary sides because their gameplay has to draw from their story and world; one is more grounded serious and immersive, and the other is sort of gimmicky
Came here to say he should try out engage just for the combat since it seems like he’s a fan of the series and genre in general. Even if they throw away everything from engage with the next game I really need them to let us play maddening on our first play through. That really enhanced my enjoyment of the game since I didn’t know all the maps already.
@@arnavmekala4578 Yeah as much as I adored Three Houses I was quite thankful that Engage was a game I could play once in less than 100 hours and just be done with it. I was not ready to commit that much again. XD
I am simple person: When I see FE: Three Houses appreciated and number one in "favorite switch" videos, I push the like button. Three houses touched my heart and is my favorite game all the time. (plus: I do like ProZD's dubs and other content)
Fe3H did incomprehensible things to peoples brains, I have 700+ hours and there's still a vibrant fan community. Like, I'm still making art for it and it is consistently my most popular work. Thank you Edelgard for my life.
Judging from the list, I'd highly recommend unicorn overlord. Beautiful art, animation and voice acting. Probably the best jrpg/tactics game to come out in a while. Very engaging combat and the story is satisfying. Honestly surprised you didn't mention it considering the other games on the list.
Was just about to recommend Unicorn Overlord as well. It has an 8 hour demo to double-check and make sure it clicks, but it really doesn't take too long to find out if it is your jam or not. I stopped after three hours and went straight to purchasing it. I normally average 2 hours a night for games as a working adult, but I went nuts and was averaging 4 hours a night instead for a straight month. I honestly consider it my favorite Switch game of all time.
@@clixpsi maybe i love gaming too much, but for me 2 hours doesn't even scratch the surface of a game xd... like if u play 2 hours how long do u play a game like elder ring/botw for? 3 - 4 months?
Editor-san is BUILT DIFFERENT. Something I really love about SungWon is that he doesn't care what we think about his rankings and is true to himself in these types of videos. What an icon.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is amazing. I love so much about that game. I figured that’s what would be your number 1 after talking about liking fire emblem
I felt the same way as you going into Tears of the Kingdom but it really won me over quite quickly. It's different enough to Breath of the Wild that you don't feel like you're just playing the same game over again even though it is the same map.
I loved the building aspect of TOTK, it made going through the world so much fun compared to BOTW with all the different things you can create, and getting the zonai devices reminded me so much of gacha with the coin machine looking design
Even after playing through the whole game, I can’t bring myself to love Tears. The depths feel so empty as an area, and the building isn’t that interesting to me.
Great list! A couple games that come to mind are Master Detective Archives: Rain Code and AI: The Somnium Files. Rain Code shares a designer with Danganronpa and bears some similar DNA, while AI: The Somnium Files comes from the designer of the Zero Escape trilogy. Both have interesting puzzles and mysteries with a lovely cast of characters and some fascinating world building. They're both gorier than your average Ace Attorney game (rated M instead of T), but they've been some of my favorite narrative experiences on the Switch!
i like these lists so much better than review sites who regurgitate the same shit. always nice to see what other people enjoy and why they do even if it's different to yours!
Actually I've been hoping a video like this would exist. A top list from a guy who I trust in terms of video game tastes. Also I just recently got a bunch of christmas money so I'm looking to get a new game for my Switch
I recently started my seventh playthrough and just broke 655 hours. The story is like a literary classic in game form and Dimitri is still my favorite character of all time to this day.
Thank you for loving DQ11 and putting it so high on your list too, that was my favorite jrpg (that I played) on the switch. Hearing how much you enjoyed 3 Houses makes me want to go back and give it another try too.
i actually audibly cheered when I saw number 1, i was worried u werent gonna include it at all 😅 its one of my favorite games ever tho and definitely feel it deserved the number 1 spot
The way you talked about Three Houses is almost a 1-to-1 matchup with my Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 experience. It takes a special kind of game to do that sort of thing to someone.
@darkadvent610 I could go on a ten page essay regarding the pros and cons of the game, and I nearly did. So to try to keep it brief as possible, it is a surprisingly difficult game to play solo (it was most definitely designed with all four selected Heroes being human controlled as the ideal, but still functions very well solo). I eventually and half jokingly began to compare it to an arcade-style Fromsoft game in some aspects, and it took me about a save file and a half to play it as such. With a couple small exceptions, I feel that the roster is probably the most ideal it could have been (especially after DLC), but then again I have always tried to focus on what I do get as opposed to what I don’t. It is exceptionally grind heavy as it is difficult, but the large cast I feel adds replay value as I slowly learned to love everyone who wasn’t Iron Fist or Punisher (the only two I’d replace for varying reasons). And finally the ISO-8 gear system and challenge modes are real pains in the ass. Basically, I bought my Switch mainly to play this thing, so it was inevitable that I’d end up going warts and all for it. I suppose it depends on if you like enough of the roster well enough and enjoy more challenging action games. It doesn’t go on sale all that much to my knowledge, so I’d probably look up some gameplay videos to be safe.
Great list. I feel like between Sword and Scarlet, we have everything we need for a fantastic pokemon game, but they each had massive flaws. Hoping the next one just takes all the best things from them and builds on it. Also love that Animal crossing, three houses, and ESPECIALLY Celeste made the cut. Three houses is my fav Fire Emblem game, and Celeste might be my favorite game of all time. Great list
My top 5 Video Game for fans of RPGs: 1. Xenoblade Definitive Edition 2. Xenoblade 3/Future Redeemed (I actually prefer Future Redeemed) 3. Ruined King 4. Monster Sanctuary 5. Unicorn Overlord
i haven't played unicord overlord or any of the xenoblades... but since u have monster sanctuary in ur list i know u got good taste... which one do u recommend first? Xeno or UOL
@@user-ux3jp9oo7r Unicorn Overlord. It's kind of got that monster collecting feel since you get lots of different classes and make different units with them. It's fun you mix and match your teams and tactics.
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition was my most played switch game of ‘24. So much content to mindlessly work through while I’m listening to videos and podcasts.
Oh man. Excellent list. I have literally poured a few hundred hours into Three Houses. Yeah, Three Hopes is good. Shez is a surprisingly good avatar character. I think that you should get into Xenoblade. It is one of those series that gets better, gameplay-wise, as it goes on. They are simultaneously standalone games while still being a part of an interconnected storyline.
kind of love how some of these you’re saying are bad but you still love them. i feel like all video game reviews are so strict but i love how chill this is
I would say that seeing that you enjoy the Dynasty Warriors type games I do recommend playing Hyrule Warriors: AoC & Persona 5 Rumble. Platinum Games....games are fantastic as well: The Wonderful 101 (honestly I recommend the Wii U version more), Astral Chain and the Bayonetta series are all fantastic. Oh and the Xenoblade Chronicles series are peak. Happy New Year to you. 😁
Xeno 3 is absolutely incredible, but it's hard to recommend the series to someone who doesn't have that much time as the trilogy is like a 300 hour investment lol
@@mvjbass9561 XC3 was indeed increadible but imo the second half of chapter 6 and chapter 7 were pretty weak. The game definitely peaked at the end of chapter 5 That's why XC2 is still my favorite XC game, the last few chapters of that game were absolutely incredible
@@mvjbass9561 People always say that but I don't think that's quite accurate. I replayed the entire trilogy with my girlfriend last year (it was her first time playing) and it took us roughly 120 hours and half a year to play through the entire trilogy and their DLCs Besides, if you're really invested in a game, then the amount of time it takes to beat it shouldn't be an issue
@@nicerhabaraXC1 still the best imo because I was engaged the whole way through. 3 peaks too early, 2 has the opposite problem where it doesn't get truly great until at least halfway through. And X is just a whole different kind of thing
Well, since you asked, and briefly mentioned the others in DQ XI, I'd like a video where you rank the Dragon Quest games you've played and what you liked about them - XI being on Switch has made it my go-to for introducing people to the series so it was cool seeing it so high on this list.
Can I just say, thank you for being a Fire Emblem fan!! It seems not a lot of people even acknowledge them outside of Smash and it's sooo nice to see someone else giving the games the love they deserve.
If you like Celeste, I really recommend trying out the Celeste: Strawberry Jam mod! The levels are pretty much just as high-quality as the main game, with a bunch of new mechanics, as well as old mechanics iterated on in great ways!
Damn I did not expect Fire Emblem Three Houses as the #1 pick but genuinely BASED opinion, I love turn based combat, I love JRPGs, I've never played a Fire Emblem game before that but the combat looked interesting so I bought it and damn... it's my most played game on switch, such a slept on game. Story is pretty good, I like the characters and all that but the combat is SO much fun.
I think you’d probably enjoy Here Comes Niko! It’s like a cozy 3D platformer on different islands where you just collect stuff and interact with cute characters, it’s become sort of a comfort game to me
The story and characters for Pokémon S/V were SOOO GOOD. I totally agree with your sentiments there. I actually cared about the different characters and plot lines. Jankiness aside, haha.
Nice to see the Nintendo Musou games mentioned, those games were surprisingly good (if you’re into that sort of thing of course). I liked Hyrule Warriors more than Age of Calamity but it’s cool.
someone's gotta play through all the xenoblade games. ideally id recommend starting with xenogears and xenosaga, but xenoblade is also a good place to start, especially since it's the most readily available one.
Triangle Strategy is another tactics RPG with a branching storyline. I had a lot of fun with it, but I also got it from a library so I didn't have to pay for it :) I would certainly recommend it if it goes on sale though.
I literally just finished the last route today. It's so good. Really scratched the itch I've had ever since playing Final Fantasy Tactics as a young'un. Highly recommend to anyone who likes that style of SRPG.
Not the first half of the game. The replay value is garbage. You go through 90% of the same story and have to grind affection for characters outside your house if you ever want to use them. The game woukd have been a lot better if you could change your allegance for the 2nd half of the game and replays coukd start there when you have already learned/befriended what characters you want and can choose a different path on a replay without repeating all the same grinding
Yeah personally the same old maps threw me off from replaying the game. I wanted to try new characters for new routes but the chore of grinding the boring maps again put me off so I never replayed it. Story and character though, fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
I had the same concerns about TotK but was blown away by how much they beefed it up. Its the same map but you almost forget by how much they added in the game. Definitely play it when you the chance. Im going to give Fire Emblem a shot this year(Awakening was one of my fav 3DS games)
I was surprised that Three Hopes hasn’t been played yet despite the love for FE3H and the fact you’re a VA in it, but I respect the priorities, aka life. Congrats on the role in Three Hopes, you did a stellar job and contributed to the amazing world building in the 3H era.
Tears of the Kingdom is INCREDIBLE. I felt burnt out on open worlds and felt the same, but I started it up and wow...couldn't put it down. I put 200 hours in it. The story, the gameplay, the characters all beautiful.
Hugely appreciate your comment on open world games! I've been a Zelda fan since birth and couldn't get a grip on BOTW for exactly that reason - I would play and 2 hours later couldn't identify anything memorable that had happened. Also super glad for the Celeste shoutout, somehow still such an underrated gem!
unicorn overlord is such an overlooked strategy rpg. if youre a fan of fire emblem it hits that type of niche but is also quite different in the setup of your armies and units. please give it a look!
Unicorn Overlord is a must-play for any strategy rpg fan. Check out the demo to see if it tickles your fancy. Personally, I found it to be all the customisation I wanted from a SRPG without being too complex or bloated. Other SRPGs that exist on the Nintendo Switch and are worth checking out: Valkyria Chronicles and Valkyria Chronicles 4.
If you're a big JRPG fan, Octopath Traveler 2 has got to be one of the greatest I've ever played. Incredible story, loveable characters, and a fantastic battle system. Easy 10/10 for me!
@@N8C8XX I love that the mechanics and interactions between all the characters were fleshed out more. While in OT1, you were limited in party interactions when you needed to have certain characters in your party after certain chapters or else you'd miss dialogue (that was nonconsequential anyway), in OT2, there's actually story and chapters where the characters pair off and it all matters when the overarching story culminates. I absolutely love OT2 more, but I can say w/o a doubt that OT is my favorite JRPG.
@@robertwolfgan not at all! There are some references to the previous game, but not anything you have to know to enjoy the story or gameplay of the sequel.
DRAGONQUEST!! I agree, 11 is for sure one of my tippy top switch games, I’m still coming back to it to complete everything. I rave about it to everyone. Love that game
@dumaass mostly me being consumed by other things I like doing. Reading books on my ever growing list of "read this you lazy little guy". School work outside of school. School. House tasks. I still have free time obviously, but I fill it with other stuff I want to do. Like I got Assassin's Creed for Christmas, so I'm going through that game currently on my console. I just need to actively want to go on the Switch, which I haven't really done.
I squeled with joy when I saw Dragon Quest XI towards the end of the list. It genuinely might be one of the greatest JRPGs of all time, maybe not at the very top of a list (Cuz of old timeless JRPGs taking up a lot of spots) but definitely deserves like a top 15 or something.
i looove this it's so refreshing when someone admits that the things they really enjoy to play aren't always these extraordinary once in a lifetime pieces of history. sometimes we can just enjoy stuff without it needing to be perfect and the snobbery is so senseless.... like do you ever just have fun tho?
I think it ignores it because it’s not meant to be narratively linked to it. It’s a different retelling of the Zelda myth. It’s not actually a “sequel” the way we normally think about sequels.
This is actually super useful as with a new system potentially coming out, I've been meaning to flesh out my current-gen collection a bit... and I always have decision paralysis over stuff like this. It's also more data on the 'Will Sungwon flip tables?' chart for the gaming channel!
BotW was the best game I’ve ever played. Running around finding stuff is awesome. Paragliding, climbing, free combat, cooking, collecting, it’s great. The best part is your stats don’t get better. You get better. The entire game is a learning experience. I don’t play many other games because the experience feels limiting.
I still can't believe how long the switch has been around. It still feels so new for some reason.
I remember someone saying that Botw was their favourite childhood game. The Switch really is old.

XD
1. The boot
2. The dog
3. The battleship
4. The iron
5. The car
The boot??? Come on man, thimble clears boot, no question.
But what about the wheelbarrow or the top hat?
On the N64 version the moneybag is #1
I am simple person: When I see FE: Three Houses appreciated and number one in "favorite switch" videos, I push the like button.
Seconding Unicorn Overlord. Fantastic game.
And he voiced a couple of lines in it as well! An absolute must
@@clixpsi maybe i love gaming too much, but for me 2 hours doesn't even scratch the surface of a game xd... like if u play 2 hours how long do u play a game like elder ring/botw for? 3 - 4 months?
@user-ux3jp9oo7r I play several hours on Saturday. I just can't do too much after work on the weekdays.
Jay’s comments are lowkey some of the best parts of these videos
The devs of Mario + Rabbids seemed genuinely honored to get to work on a Mario game, and I think that shows in the finished product
Top 5 top 15 favorite Nintendo videogame videos tierlist
Editor-san is BUILT DIFFERENT. Something I really love about SungWon is that he doesn't care what we think about his rankings and is true to himself in these types of videos. What an icon.
Big agree on Fire Emblem Three Houses and Dragon Quest XI. Those are two of the greatest games of all time.
If a game makes me do tomfoolery instead of the main quest for over 100 hours, I'd say it was fun.
I loved the building aspect of TOTK, it made going through the world so much fun compared to BOTW with all the different things you can create, and getting the zonai devices reminded me so much of gacha with the coin machine looking design
Honestly I prefer TotK in so many way to BotW (and I loved BotW!)
BotW felt like a tech demo for Tears.
0:37 not even mentioning that he’s IN the game lol
Because he only played each game a few hours each. Not throughout. He does it for content. Dont fool yourself.
He's not in Fire Emblem Warriors. He's in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, which he says he hasn't played.
Actually I've been hoping a video like this would exist. A top list from a guy who I trust in terms of video game tastes. Also I just recently got a bunch of christmas money so I'm looking to get a new game for my Switch
Three Houses deserves the respect. I put like 180 hours into that thing.
I only played/discovered it this year and loved it.
I recently started my seventh playthrough and just broke 655 hours. The story is like a literary classic in game form and Dimitri is still my favorite character of all time to this day.
I probably have thousands of hours in it by now
I can’t believe that you like [insert random Nintendo switch game]! I’m subbed for life!
Ye 1,2 Switch is obviously a masterpiece smh
Thank you for loving DQ11 and putting it so high on your list too, that was my favorite jrpg (that I played) on the switch. Hearing how much you enjoyed 3 Houses makes me want to go back and give it another try too.
Okay, him not playing Three Hopes yet is somewhat of a surprise.
i actually audibly cheered when I saw number 1, i was worried u werent gonna include it at all 😅 its one of my favorite games ever tho and definitely feel it deserved the number 1 spot
The way you talked about Three Houses is almost a 1-to-1 matchup with my Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 experience. It takes a special kind of game to do that sort of thing to someone.
I've heard mixed things about MUA3. Is it still worth picking up today?
Great list
THREE HOUSES FUCK YEAH!
Absolutely my favourite thing on the whole console. I love that you love it.
My top 5 Video Game for fans of RPGs:
1. Xenoblade Definitive Edition
2. Xenoblade 3/Future Redeemed (I actually prefer Future Redeemed)
3. Ruined King
4. Monster Sanctuary
5. Unicorn Overlord
Xenoblade series is absolutely GOATed on the switch, can’t wait for X to come over
Once X is on the Switch at least 3 of my Top 5 Switch games will be Xenoblade games.
@@TheShanicpower What are your top 5?
i haven't played unicord overlord or any of the xenoblades... but since u have monster sanctuary in ur list i know u got good taste... which one do u recommend first? Xeno or UOL
@@user-ux3jp9oo7r Unicorn Overlord. It's kind of got that monster collecting feel since you get lots of different classes and make different units with them. It's fun you mix and match your teams and tactics.
Lol 3:50 great work, Jay!!
yes please make more of these, always nice to see the top 10 vids
3:50 Way to go, Jay!!
You'd probably love Xenoblade. I am definitely biased because I LOVE Xenoblade
Xeno 3 is absolutely incredible, but it's hard to recommend the series to someone who doesn't have that much time as the trilogy is like a 300 hour investment lol
@@mvjbass9561 Not to mention X, I have 188 hours in that and still have a lot of unfinished quests, like the lobster one *shudders*.
@@mvjbass9561 XC3 was indeed increadible but imo the second half of chapter 6 and chapter 7 were pretty weak. The game definitely peaked at the end of chapter 5
That's why XC2 is still my favorite XC game, the last few chapters of that game were absolutely incredible
@@mvjbass9561 People always say that but I don't think that's quite accurate. I replayed the entire trilogy with my girlfriend last year (it was her first time playing) and it took us roughly 120 hours and half a year to play through the entire trilogy and their DLCs
Besides, if you're really invested in a game, then the amount of time it takes to beat it shouldn't be an issue
Yesss more switch videos please! I’ll definitely be trying some of these.
5:59 this is on point for me too.
I love the fe appreciation, I’ve played all of them but Thracia.
Also 100% agree with your take on BotW, but I actually liked TotK more
Fire Emblem Three Houses is my favorite EZ it was my first FE & I absolutely fell in love with the gameplay & story also the soundtrack rules
oh wow I typed this comment before watching the vid I did not expect him to agree with me
oh i'm absolutely going to check out the fire emblem game. i completely missed it's release. great list!
12:43 WOOOOOOOO YEAH BABY, DQ mention!!!
I was loving all of your pics and then THREE HOUSES WAS #1!!!! 😭😭😭😭 THIS guy gets it!!!!!!!
Its crazy to think that back in the day Nintendo had no faith in Fire Emblem in the west and now look at it.
Love your top 10 videos especially the anime and manga!
someone's gotta play through all the xenoblade games. ideally id recommend starting with xenogears and xenosaga, but xenoblade is also a good place to start, especially since it's the most readily available one.
It sounds like you absolutely need to play Unicorn Overlord. I really wish more people knew about this one. Easily my Game of the Year 2024.
14:53 “ I got every moon 🌙 “
*me remembering his one skit:* “WHERE SRE THE FUCKING MOONS??”
fire emblem three houses is INCREDIBLE. the complexity and depth of story only grows with time, and the replay value is unmatched.
@@Dan55888 that's what new game+ is for :))
I kind of hate social link stuff especially on repeat playthroughs lol, but first playthrough was very good.
Yeah personally the same old maps threw me off from replaying the game. I wanted to try new characters for new routes but the chore of grinding the boring maps again put me off so I never replayed it.
Story and character though, fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
I still need to play Blue Lion. I did Black Eagle and Golden Deer. Someday I'll do Blue Lion.
I had the same concerns about TotK but was blown away by how much they beefed it up. Its the same map but you almost forget by how much they added in the game. Definitely play it when you the chance. Im going to give Fire Emblem a shot this year(Awakening was one of my fav 3DS games)
cherish your first playthrough of Three Houses & go in unspoiled!!
Gotta get this in before the new Nintendo console this year lol
I was surprised that Three Hopes hasn’t been played yet despite the love for FE3H and the fact you’re a VA in it, but I respect the priorities, aka life. Congrats on the role in Three Hopes, you did a stellar job and contributed to the amazing world building in the 3H era.
Tears of the Kingdom is INCREDIBLE. I felt burnt out on open worlds and felt the same, but I started it up and wow...couldn't put it down. I put 200 hours in it. The story, the gameplay, the characters all beautiful.
UPLOAD STOOOOORM
Hugely appreciate your comment on open world games! I've been a Zelda fan since birth and couldn't get a grip on BOTW for exactly that reason - I would play and 2 hours later couldn't identify anything memorable that had happened.
Also super glad for the Celeste shoutout, somehow still such an underrated gem!
How fast does your hair grow
Great Video!
Makes me want to play that Mario Rabbids game.
Goated thumbnail
unicorn overlord is such an overlooked strategy rpg. if youre a fan of fire emblem it hits that type of niche but is also quite different in the setup of your armies and units. please give it a look!
Awesome video!
LETTTTSSSSS GOOOO THREEE HOUSES LEETTSSS GOOOOO
My guy came in clutch since I wondered if I should get FE Three Houses and I completely didnt expect it to be ur #1
Thanks ProZD❤
If you're a big JRPG fan, Octopath Traveler 2 has got to be one of the greatest I've ever played. Incredible story, loveable characters, and a fantastic battle system. Easy 10/10 for me!
How would you compare it to the first one? Do you like 2 more?
@@N8C8XX I love that the mechanics and interactions between all the characters were fleshed out more. While in OT1, you were limited in party interactions when you needed to have certain characters in your party after certain chapters or else you'd miss dialogue (that was nonconsequential anyway), in OT2, there's actually story and chapters where the characters pair off and it all matters when the overarching story culminates. I absolutely love OT2 more, but I can say w/o a doubt that OT is my favorite JRPG.
Do I have to play the first one to understand or pick up hints on this second one?
@@robertwolfgan not at all! There are some references to the previous game, but not anything you have to know to enjoy the story or gameplay of the sequel.
@maryl.5984 EXCELLENT! Thank you
DRAGONQUEST!! I agree, 11 is for sure one of my tippy top switch games, I’m still coming back to it to complete everything. I rave about it to everyone. Love that game
Havent played the Switch in ages. Should start playing again when I have the free time. I will try your favourite and judge you on it in due time.
What's been keeping you from playing?
@dumaass mostly me being consumed by other things I like doing. Reading books on my ever growing list of "read this you lazy little guy". School work outside of school. School. House tasks. I still have free time obviously, but I fill it with other stuff I want to do. Like I got Assassin's Creed for Christmas, so I'm going through that game currently on my console. I just need to actively want to go on the Switch, which I haven't really done.
Highly recommend Astral Chain, Metroid Dread, and _especially_ Unicorn Overlord if the fantasy-strategy genre is your vibe.
My favourite game of all time
@@murphthegangsterReal asf 🤝
@@murphthegangstersame, I loved it so much that I 100% completed it TWICE.
it's soooooo goooooood.
i looove this it's so refreshing when someone admits that the things they really enjoy to play aren't always these extraordinary once in a lifetime pieces of history. sometimes we can just enjoy stuff without it needing to be perfect and the snobbery is so senseless.... like do you ever just have fun tho?
6:45 you're right.. TOTK is just a bunch of DLC ideas from BOTW in one game with a random new story that ignores anything that happened in botw
I think it ignores it because it’s not meant to be narratively linked to it. It’s a different retelling of the Zelda myth. It’s not actually a “sequel” the way we normally think about sequels.
Tripping
This is actually super useful as with a new system potentially coming out, I've been meaning to flesh out my current-gen collection a bit... and I always have decision paralysis over stuff like this. It's also more data on the 'Will Sungwon flip tables?' chart for the gaming channel!
I love Jay's Pokemon completion comment!
Not having Xenoblade chronicles 3 is beyond crazy
Dude, you're so chill.
Respect for DQ11, that game is incredible, a pure, charming adventure
