Hope it was a new tank? Else pls quarantine any new fish for 3 weeks before introducing to an existing tank in order to prevent problems. Have experienced the tragedy of not quarantining and losing all my fishes and will. never make that mistake again.
Nice francis...actually you can set up a biotope aquarium with only fish caught here...there must be at least a couple of species...killifish are easily found...bring a lot if these wild fish to your store and surely hobbyist would be interested. I remember as a college student I used to go one these kinds of expeditions near my college hostel in manipal and after the monsoon start plenty of fish used to be seen...the trick to catch these is use a larger net say 5 feet or 8 feet with just the net cloth...no need handle and frame...weight it down on the river bed for a few minutes...then with 4 persons standing on four corners lift the net and you would catch so much fish...these algae rocks would go a great way in quarantine tanks for otocinclus which are weak when they come in and are wild caught and would not feed on algae wafers...but I think they would feed on these natural algae stones...which area is this francis..
