Fascinating that this film is now much older than Dicken's story was when this film was made. And Cratchit's eyes are weird.

They probably preformed live music at the showings so it wasn't recorded. Music was pretty essential.

@TempusSans If I'm not mistaken, they just double exposed the film. It happened a lot back when they used plates to take photographs. If they didn't wash them right, part of the image would be seen on the next photo, resulting in "ghostly" images. I could be wrong, but that'd be my guess.

Hi TvDays. I'm sorry to say this, but, that music is absolutely terrible. I've tried watching this great film many times. But, the music is too loud. Ther's gotta be something better.
