EPISODE 6 - Lonely Scapa Flow
Welcome to the sixth episode of The Orkney Series!
Over the next few weeks, Jeana and Kristan will be travelling around the islands we're lucky enough to call home, having a blast of some Orcadian tunes and songs in the very places that inspired their names!
We hope you’ll enjoy the journey along with us.
We're returning to Orcadian composer Allie Windwick this week, but this time focusing on one of his many well known songs - Lonely Scapa Flow.
We were beyond excited to film this episode, not only because we got to visit one of the most beautiful parts of the island - by a couple of different means - but also because we were lucky enough to be joined for the song by two of the very best musicians around.

We’d also like to extent our thanks to the one and only Mr Tommy Sinclair, who offered us a look around the islands in his plane today, after we met him last week by sheer chance! What an amazing experience to see Orkney from the sky.

What an epiphany! I never thought of Scapa Flow as a great maritime memorial, to men and machines. You both have such a great way of incorporating the story of Orkney along with sharing your beautiful music.

Beautiful song well done, I was Up in Orkney last year hope to go again, stayed in Kirkwall interesting place, Kris drever played down here in clonakilty West Cork Ireland at a guitar festival, I've always loved Scottish music, greetings from clonakilty,
