thankyou for saying this, BE CAREFUL PEOPLE, there have been tests carried out on TEMU items and they have contained high amounts of lead and mercury, please research first. I couldn't advise anyone to use TEMU with a clear conscience. Please Peter rethink this we cannot support the dangerous practices 🙏

My only concern is that many items are 'copied' from 'real' items which means the people who actually created and made the item aren't getting the money they deserve. Which is why I steer clear of anything TM'd on Temu when I buy from them.

That's so impressive, those Chinese children at the Temu workhouse... I mean workshop certainly did a fantastic job on the sculpt of those wands, it must be due to the dexterity of their tiny little fingers. I imagine they're delighted that it's all being sold so cheaply.. I mean affordably.

@@tinahesse186 agreed, however most companies are trying to get better. Also, many countries have regulations about what chemicals are allowed that companies have to follow. Buying from temu (china), they don't have the regulations leading to dangerous chemicals in clothes and plastic. There have been much research about chemicals in temu products. No one can tell someone that they are not allowed to shop at temu, but he has a big following. And making an ad for a company who has such horrible labour laws, no chemical regulation, the horrible impact on the environment, and saying how awesome everything is wrong of him to do. He has a responsibility to his fans and himself.

Don't know where you located but in my country almost every clothing store has a page on information about where their products come from, and their gosls on creating more sustainable fashion. According to the TIE, "Toy Industries of Europe (TIE) bought 19 toys from Temu and sent them to an EU-accredited independent safety testing laboratory for testing against the EU’s toy safety rules. They found that none of the toys comply with EU legislation and, therefore, should not be on sale in the EU and that 18 out of the 19 toys did not meet toy safety standards and, therefore, present risks for children. "

I order from temu from time to time but not very often because I always feel bad about it. I think it's fine if you buy there sometimes but I kinda always get a bad feeling when big youtubers make ads for it because it animates people to buy there without thinking too much about working conditions and stolen artwork.

I've seen so many people who have lost their creations/work to Temu or SHEIN...too. People keep an eye out for cheaper lookalikes or they just don't know it is.

I have always loved your content. But publicly suporting a webside build on fast fashion, a horrible work environment with child/slave labour, a horrible impact on the environment. Where almost everything is stolen artworks and ideas of other artists and creators is so wrong. I understand you need sponsors, but selling yourself to this corporations shows you only care about yourself and the money you can earn. Not telling your fans about their horrible impact on the world and the dangerous chemicals that are in many of the clothes and plastic is so wrong. I don't support this
The thing is if he’s using Temu as a sponsor, he can’t go in the middle of that video ‘you know Temu isn’t a very good company and they have child labor’. He’s not gonna get paid like that, that’s not how sponsors work there’s usually a script.
So don't take the sponsor

These days I try not to shop too much from these sites, but back in the day I did buy a Snape wand. It's very very intricate, and definitely one of the ones they make very accurately since they've been producing it for years as he's one of the main/ popular characters. So if you're unable to afford the licensed wand it's a good alternative.

I'm surprised you accepted a sponsorship and advertised products from this company that is well known to sell counterfeit illegal goods and rip off the originals that are supposed to be protected by copyright and trademark law. You wouldn't purchase a counterfeit Harry Potter book with a forged signature would you?
Most of these products come with no packaging, no instructions, no information on where it was made or what factory made it and safety isnt their number 1 priority, making money is.

TEMU is as bad as Wish but I'm glad you enjoyed your haul. I did like the vintage looking travel posters.
I bought that sorting hat for last years Halloween (it's sitting out of my house, so no need for an expensive one) and I used dark brown fabric painters and painted the eyes and the mouth - so it looks a bit more real.
I also love to use some of the small keychains and rings/necklaces/pins as gifts for Halloween (I pack small gift bags and the ids get a pack each and can choose a candy from the trolley - or a school item, like hand made wand pencils/brooms/ small notebooks and such)

Whether you chose to use this site or not, it should give you some idea of how much of a mark up is placed on items. I personally get almost all of my crafting supplies from here, it’s not “licensed”. I save myself thousands of dollars a year by using them. I also purchase through PayPal and have never had an issue yet.
I use a lot of dips for my cooking - I got this amazing set of restaurant sauce cups from Temu with HP designs on them. It is one of my favorite things - along with my 24 sets of taco holders.
Some cool bits, I have a few HP bits that I got from Temu, especially wands for cosplay as if they get broken its not the end of the world and they are cheap to replace.

As the cheapest person in the world possibly, I bought my batteries for my floating candles and wand from the dollar tree and they’ve worked great! I don’t keep them on much so that helps I’m sure! But that will get you thru quite a long time and I only had to pay $6 for all the batteries I needs.
My son uses makeup brushes like that for painting small details onto figures and artwork.

I'm constantly getting Emails from them with various coupons, tokens, sorry we were late with this, that, the other. I think I'm shutting those off or unsubscribing. They're making mountains out of molehills in my inbox. Amazon does this too, notifies me of lightning flash sales or deals, but they're nowhere near as bad as Temu for this.
For all the people talking crap about Temu I use to feel the same way but they sell the same exact products as Amazon an all those other sites for way cheaper it's the exact same stuff an guess what you don't need to pay a membership fee an shipping is usually free I actually really like Temu shop like a billionaire 😂😊❤
You have done a number of designs and collabs with artists now, I sincerely hope that those designs don’t end up on Temu one of these days. Artists need to support artists. Temu is a parasite.

I like how people talk about theft when Temu is nothing compared to others out there. Obviously SOME stuff are knockoffs (hense the cheap prices which Peter mentions to check authenticity), but Temu also has the shop itself selling on their site. So it's your mistake if you buy the fakes.

Reviews on different items are important. Definitely check those before picking an item. For example, they sell a lot of different wants and different prices. Sometimes the cheap ones are best… but definitely see what past purchasers have said first.
Avoid them at all costs! Tech experts warn us in detail as to why. Nothing good!
Herd of people getting their card info stolen from temu. They say you should get a pre paid card with no link to you and use that. Also make a new email to use as some people have had their email stolen, spammed, phishing attacks etc.
I purchase from them all the time. I would skip the clothes sheins are better. The jewellery is awesome and so are the home goods. If you need to return anything it’s amazing. I had my refund same day.

Temu has only recently launched here in South Africa. It comes with the perception of being similar to Wish and not being trustworthy. How was your experience with the received merch vs advertised? Also, any issues on delays of delivery time vs advertised? These are common pitfalls I have discussed with friends. Cool review.

Hey Peter, Noble Collection just released Ginny Weasley's wand, Luna Lovegood's wand, and Dolores Umbridge's wand in Ollivander's wand boxes. You can only get them at Barnes and Noble though. But you should get them and make a video about them.

I don't think they can, Temu, Shein, and the like are simply the middlemen for the Chinese factories. It'd be difficult to catch all of the little guys. And pretty difficult to stop them from gaining access to the products too, all it takes is one person from the factory to buy the licensed product and bring it back, and they'll be able to replicate it. Unfortunately sometimes they don't even need the physical object; I've heard of a lot of Kickstarter projects being replicated and sold just through the campaign photos before the original creator even launches their product.
There are no copy right laws in China and since most companies get their products made in china it is a risk they are willing to take to get stuff for cheaper so they can have a 200-300%mark up on their products. I laugh when people say about the unfair labour practices, all the legitimate stuff is made there in the same factories by the same people you are just paying more for the same stuff

I enjoy your channel but please don't endorse this company. Temu has 3 class action lawsuits pending. Mostly due to data breaches but they buy directly from low end Chinese companies that ship direct and have enfringement issues and issues with lead in some of the jewlery.. I do prefer to buy from companies that do not steal designs, even if it costs a bit more. I refuse to buy from this company.
How do people in these comments feel about SHEIN? I only ask because there are a ton of influencers who do SHEIN hauls who aren’t getting nearly as much backlash as this comment section is toward temu. It’s practically the same thing guys.

I've gotten some good quality items , some licensed too, harry potter related and not thru temu. A lot isn't labeled harry potter, but is. My plush mandrakes and licensed nimbus 2000 pen are my favorites. As with anything your going 2 have some stinkers, but overall I've been stoked since unfortunately my hp budget isn't endless. Lol. I've gotten some cool unique good quality t-shirts too

For people upset, they should realize, everything is made on China. Even expensive items you buy at Universal. Sometimes the same factories make expensive versions and inexpensive versions of products.... The only valid argument against Temu that people can make, is that many items are not officially licensed, which means they are not paying WB for the items.....
