Awesome show, I was there. THough I wish more older tunes woulda been in like EVERDREAM and Ghost Love Score, overall it was an amazing show and the crowd was just energetic
Yah, she has improved infinitely from the previous tour. I remember seeing the Sidney show online and it was like a car wreck, the first shows. But she got better and especially more confident. By the time they did the televised shows in Holland she was beginning to hit her stride. The Siren sound so much better than on the last tour. Planet Hell sounds more metal than ever before and the acoustic version of Nemo is just brilliant. Just hope to see them live up close. :)
@Mustangi66 Marco and Anette are terrific working together. I'm surprised that anyone is complaining about him playing a bigger role in the vocals. The new album is Nightwish's best work ever IMO. They've never done so well in allowing everyone's talent to come through before now. The early albums were too much Tarja, and DPP was centered completely on Tuomas.
It's a tricky song. Because in the studio version is almost like a loud whisper staccato style which you can adjust the volume. When done live she has to sing it differently to compensate for the instruments playing and with no overlaying vocals. And your right it was probably late in the set. Marco sounds a little off at the beginning but they both recover soon with a vengeance.
I wouldn't say best, but it is surely complete album... something like Brave New World by Iron Maiden - isnt their best album, but you can just put on the album and listen to it from start to end and enjoy all songs....
@RawrItsJuul We're talking about the titans of symphonic metal and one of the few bands that deserve to be called the masters of the genre. Therion and Haggard did it. Why can't Nightwish do it? Imagine a live choir (could be even Metro Voices, the one they use for the CD) a live CHILDRENS choir and a live orchestra? The world would explote.

DPP is an amazing album and Imaginaerum keeps going the same awesome and, in many ways, better way than those albums with Tarja. I just can't help falling in love with these two albums and that seamless co-operation within the band nowadays.
After watching all the videos, I must say it was an amazing show, I wish I was there. However, i couldn't stop noticing that the lighting on stage seems faulty... The drums are usually in the dark, maybe something went wrong with the lights that are in top of them that are supposed to be lighting each person on stage

@sahara0587 I actually think that live they could benefit from having a second guitarist - sometimes when Emppu does his solos lots of the 'balls-to-the-walls' energy goes out of the songs. They're still good, but a 2nd guitarist could be a real benefit to them to keep that 'agressive' energy going IMHO...
If I should be honest, I don't like live version of this song(which with I would like to have children ;) ), I think that words "Wonder, mystery" "Careless jugglers" show be sung with bigger expression and bigger energy. On album it sounds more powerful. This is my opinion, but I simply adore "Imaginaerum" and love Nightwish for everything, what 're they doing for music world.

Anyways Nightwish is still my favourite band because of Tuomas greatness, his work is unique. The female vocals lovely but average.
I wasn't really disturbed by Marco tbh. And I don't really care what exactly Anette's highest note is. xD Letters and numbers.. one can hit really high notes and still be a shitty singer, or one can sing very good within a lower range as well.

But I think she did improve a lot...and u can improve in 5 years..a few years ago she literally screamed so much when she had to hit high notes, did u hear her sing songs like "ever dream" and "slaying the dreamer"? Really awful...totally out of tune. I do agree she still misses many notes, u can clearly hear that. -Cuture aspect? Sorry didnt get that one..
Marco shouldn't sing at all, Annette does it really good and he covers her voice. I think their two voices don't go together because they are too similar

@sagradamuerte Therion uses full choirs for the majority of their songs. You dont need to scream to be metal.
