The important thing to look for a camera that can run a wide aperture. You can go as crazy as you want with this, i believe Mack uses a Sony A7III mirrorless system, I would guess he is running a prime lens in the range of 24mm-35mm. The really blurry effect is achieved by setting the aperture as low as it goes, usually in the 1.2 to 2.8 range, depending on the capability of the lens.
