The system of capitalism is an ugly, violent system producing ugly, violent outcomes that most people DO NOT want. The ruling elites do bear a great responsibility that do deserve pressure and shame for not doing better for the people, but the system incentives have put them there.
Therefore system change is needed. There is no nope for peace and sustainability as long as capitalism drives our global economic system.

We are supposed to be both.
A republic is defined as a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected president rather than a monarch or an oligarch.
The definition of a democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible voters of a state, typically through elected representatives.
We the people elect our president and our government representatives.
In a nutshell, the difference between the democratic party and the republican party lies in their virw duties of the state government vs the federal government.
Democrats tend to want to make rules that affect the entire country and republicans tend to want to reserve that power for the individual States
Any group who says we will tell you what happened/ we will tell you how to think about … instead of allowing you to see what happened is corrupt and should be dismantled.
It's obvious that when they say "threat to democracy" they are using "democracy" the same way North Korea does.

I'm assuming you are getting cable "news". There are "news" segments on network television and radio. It's all narrative based drivel being fed to the public. In many ways its worse than cable because it's being presented as fact and often by a local personalities. If you put together a montage of these people report, it usually the same script It's all coming from the same source.
In the States local news tends to be watched for actual weather, sports and local issues. The national syndicated media (CNN, MSNBC etc.) are the opinions and lies.
There are great sources in the US, but you won't find them on mass marketed tv or cable. Because news will always contain the perspective of its source, it is very important to follow a wide range of differing sources. Podcasts, publications like Epoch Times, X for individual journalists, Getter and Truth, Revolver.news, Substack, Citizens Free Press, there are so many great sources.
Im not a Republican nor Democrat, im simply a citizen of the United States,and as such,im entitled to vote for whom i think would run our country best,and it certainly isnt this administration. I would prefer any of the other candidates over another 4 years of the Obiden regime. We need radical decentralization so that everyone can get closer to what they want.

I’m glad RFK is raising the awareness of food being poison. I stopped eating the poison on October 2023 and I’ve never felt better.
Pay attention to the war going on , with self sustainability. Big Food has been at this a long time, Americans used to be given bags of free seed to grow their own crops until Big Food lobbied it away. There has been attacks on the Amish ( you have to be real scumbags to give the Amish a hard time.) Now no matter how many chickens you have, they want you to register them with the feds for "disease awareness." And they lobby on local levels to prevent you from having any sustainability at all. In California you now can't grow more than half an acre of food without expensive water dishcharge systems, pricing it out of normal peoples, and small farmers, hands. Mind you, in order to grow enough food to sustain yourself, it is one acre per person per year.
People need to pay just as much attention to local politics, if not more, as they do federal.
Same, I'm enlarging my garden big time this year.
And building a small green house for even more food
There are orchards near me I can get ( real fruit) and I'm canning peaches, pears, applesauce, and more .

Yes, we are getting poisoned. I've lost 45 pounds just in the last year because it feels so much better to fast and give my digestive system a break from all the posions. Eggs, potatoes, rice, and chicken are the only things I eat because I don't get sick off those four foods. Some candy, too.
