it was working before and but I did a factory reset (cause I have so much junk on my phone) and it does not work anymore. I am on a Huawei Union and my carrier is boost Mobile. I use it for my Xbox one cuz I don't have a router (not yet anyways) for it and I use my hot spot. When it connects it takes me to boost Mobile website

I went and exchanged my phone, it didn't give me that issue for awhile, Now it working every were, inside and out of my home except in my living room, where the internet connection stuff is from Comcast.

I had this problem, go to phone and type: ##72786#, and it will tell these things, then press the restart thingy and it will restart. After the restart, it wait a bit then a notification with a phone (also with three dots at the bottom) after that is done it will give you back your data
Not working. *EDIT* : My hotspot is working now. Problem was I had a malicious app running in my phone with name "file manager" which had administrator privileges.
Wounded eye go to settings, then choose mobile networks switch to auto then LTC/cmdc (I forgot what its called but I think its that) then switch back to auto. worked for me on galexy and htc.

I've had this issue with my UK Vodaphone phones for literally a year or more! Simple fix, not sure how long it'll hold as I've found updates to android etc kill it again...but at least I can throw it back again. Thank you.

This fixed my issue!! The ON/OFF for Mobile Hotspot was permanently dimmed. This quick reset brought it back. Excellent.
