Thanks for the shout out too by the way the tensioners on a lot of these bikes, need an oil from time to time my Lectric XP trike also made a squeaking noise. It was the wheel bearings. I shot oil into those by tipping the bike to the side.
Whoa, what coincidence! On my Lectric ETrike ride yesterday, I noticed intermittent squeaking coming from the rear wheels and wrote it off to misaligned fenders hitting the tires occasionally. I let that slide for the moment. But about a mile from home I was on the sidewalk passing a a retail store whose parking lot is obscured by high bushes. Just as I was about to pass the lot’s exit, I caught sight of a driver leaving the store and we were going to meet at the exit at about the same time. Being the smaller of the two, I pretty much locked it down and no lives were lost. She waved me by and I twisted the throttle and….Nothing. No response, no motor turning, no wheels going round and round. I waved her on, got off the bike and looked to confirm the chain was still engaged on all sprockets. Still no response. Having worked with IT guys in the past,my next diagnostic was to “turn it off, then turn it back on”. Nada. I manually rolled the bike backwards and forwards, all the while twisting the throttle or getting back on and trying the pedals. Finally, while off the bike, I hit the throttle and sure enough, in PAS 5, it started to take off without me. Too late to make a long story short , everything returned to normal functionality and I got home (and yes, throughout all this I kept checking the brake levers to ensure they weren’t hung up and killing power). Your experience shows some commonality and I I’ll certainly be hitting Gary’s channel ASAP and constructing an email for Lectric to get their advice. Will share what I find. Let us know if you discover more and thanks!
So my bike had that squeak in the beginning and it went away but I don’t have the same problem you have with the pedal assist going away I just have the problem with the motor braking I wish they could tell us a way to shut it off
Great Video as is par with your channel. Love the comment on losing your wallet( what a hoot!!!). It appears that the entire industry has gone to the birds, no one has escaped the Covid poor quality control. I believe your problem is with the motor cut-off switch disengages motor when the brakes are applied. But, doesn't re-engage motor once brakes are released. Electrical isssue. Oh Boy!
I'm having trouble with my beautiful bike. I no longer have the manual as I bought her second hand. She is showing the E024 error and E019 and I can't get the throttle or the pedal assist to kick on, Please help!

That's a very nice looking trike

I’m off e-bikes myself. The failure modes are many and complicated. Getting stranded miles from home on a boat anchor is not my idea of fun.
the same thing happened to me on my xpeak, it was my brake caliper sticking, shutting the motor off
200 miles on my TK1 Foldable. So simple and can't think of any features that would improve it, or be worth the extra cost.
Notice they don't have palm rest on the handle, do you notice any difference?
Cool trike but I'd like the problem already costs more in the long term

I hate little noises. Luckily I have found the source of all noises so far and know how to fix them!
Where is Amanda?
I would rather walk than have all these problems.
The fact that it can only go as fast as 16 miles does not help much either. Not worth it.
