- Note: It was not my intention to get in the way of the guard, there was no markings or indication on telling people that they are in the direct path of the guard and nor did the police next to me tell me beforehand that I would be in his way. Also for the life of me have no idea why I tilted the camera the way I did half way through the video and I agree that the angle sucks, my apologies.
NOTE: Any negative comments will be removed. Simple as that.
Seen lots of videos like this, and it just amazes me that tourists are given free reign of the place.
Damm ! those uniforms look so smart !
What? Really???? I think they make them look like absolute TWITS!!! 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@countchocula5379 Yes but you're called "Count Chocula" and your idea of "smart" is "Spongebob underpants".
Love the Jack boots and white pants.
I have a cousin at Horse Guard and a friend at court. Signed Simmerson
... until The Duke of Wellington says: "The men who loses the King's Colours loses the King's friendship".
Simmerson, bloody brilliant, lol
I have a real cousin at Horse Guards
Goodluck Jonathan love you kitty
Tourists might think this is a show for tourists when in fact, that’s their routine. You’d better take it seriously and be sure not in their way while they march. They will run you over if necessary. They won’t detour because people are standing there. Show some respect.
I am well aware of that and I fully appreciate and respect that it's their job. But as I have said previously, I had no idea I was in his path had I have known I wouldn't of stood there or moved earlier and I had absolutely no intention to be in his way or deliberately stand there just to capture the moment to stick on UA-cam for views as some may think.
ChineseDan "move back there please" - heard clearly over the background noise.......
The Life Guards (red tunic and white helmet plume, helmet bit just below the mouth), as opposed to the Blues & Royals (Royal Horse Guards & 1st Dragoons - dark blue tunic and red helmet plume, helmet bit below the chin). The duty is called "The Queen's
Life Guard" and takes place at Horse Guards. It should not be confused by posters with "The Queen's Guard", carried by infantry, usually Guards, regiments at Buckingham Palace and St James's Palace.
What’s the difference between their duties?
Aisling Michaela O'Neill mj
The Super Christian the guards with red tunics, bearskin hats and carrying rifles are from the 5 guards regiments who are the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh. They are infantry. They are found at Buckingham Palace, St James' Palace, the Tower of London and Windsor Castle.
The house hold cavalry regiment made up of the Life Guards (in the video) and the Blues and Royals similar uniform but blue tunics or great coats. They are only found outside horse guards in Whitehall. When not on ceremonial duties they are armoured reconnaissance.
Phil Barlow Oh that’s interesting! Thanks for answering my question :)
0:12-0:13, Big Ben could be heard I think...
Yep!
The policeman at 0:41 has stopped me before.
Ahh, The British Empire back in the good 'old days! 🇬🇧
Edward Kenway nope.
The Uk 21st century.
And we retain the traditions and uniforms of the past.
BadcatV smith. I know this was filmed in Britain in the 21st century hence the HD footage...
I was clearly referring to something different lol.

The cop said they would be walking back that way and will walk into you...
Look at all the rubbish on the ground. These wonderful tourists wouldn't do that, would they, drop rubbish?
England has changed and not for the better. Now I wonder how that happened....
@@alan1340 England is a proud, beautiful country and we're loving it again. Stop looking for ways to run it down.
@@TonyEnglandUK O Tony I am Brit and proud, more proud than you will ever imagine however it pains me to see England being treated like Europes garbage tip. I dont have to look for ways, the ways are there right in my face.
@@alan1340 No, sir. You're the problem, not the solution. Stop finding negatives about your own country all the time, it was big in the 80's, now people are loving this beautiful country again. Stick to positives and stop running this beautiful country down.
Love the title it made me laugh how you put "and getting shouted at"
There should be a roped off section for tourists or anyone else who is not part of the exercise. They are real soldiers and have a job to do. People should not be in their way. They aren't there as a tourist attraction.
The police officer did say prior stand back there please
Guy Willoughby He was addressing the group of people you saw across from me.
Getting yelled at is a bonus, IMO.
I wonder what their normal everyday life look like
Tourists think they are toys .hey guys Thery are Queen Guards , not a joke
They are british army
These guys have and will continue to serve in some of the worlds most volatile places, when not carrying out these duties they swap their horses for tanks. Please give them the respect they deserve
uhhhh so why are the police walking around a tourist area fully armed with MP7's???
Because TerryWrist and his mates keep making threats. Got it now?
They scare me
Abi, Mimi and Gigi TV me too. But they are royal guards. They're supposed to scare people
make way Abi, Mimi and Gigi TV2
Yes, and so they should!
Imagine a row of them charging towards you on horse with a sword
Good.
The police really spoil the view with there posturing
their, not there.
@ChineseDan, this is a shot in the dark, but did you specifically record this from your device or camera?
As in them changing guards? Yes. I was passing by and figured I'd record it whilst I was there. But, did I intentionally stand in the guard's way? No.
@@ChineseLok Okay understandable, however, the reason I initially contacted you on here about this video is because I was the soldier who "shouted" at you and though you may of not of intentionally stood in my way, you were pal. Its funny because I was going to apologise if you felt threatened but if this is how you talk to people commenting on your channel, then I take my apology back.
@@PeakyG23 If my initial reply came across ill-mannered, my apologies it was not intended. Your question, from the face of it just seemed odd and probably why it generated the response it did from me. As for your apology, there is no need. I was in the wrong as I stood somewhere I should not have whether I knew or not and you were simply doing your job.
@@PeakyG23 Wow overreaction on your part.
@@PeakyG23 Do you remember the year this video was taken?
They seem a little stiff.

: 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting
life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the
world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe
is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the
light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates
the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be
exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds
may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”...Jesus Christ

I see no reason to continue this, in our time the concept of honor no longer makes sense. Wild disrespect from civilians
Puro show
Primitive....
Ridiculous.
US military: bad ass and for the PEOPLE!
Queens guard: Silly looking and for the Queen.
@TERIQUE MURRAY The uniforms of the British military also look way better than the ugly US ones
British military. Conquered a quarter of the entire planet.
US military. Couldn't even beat a bunch of farmers in Vietnam.
Hush.
@@TonyEnglandUK True, but they COULD beat the Germans and the Japanese simultaneously; they COULD bail out us and the French in the First World War, and they COULD hold back the North Koreans & the Chinese in the Korean War, which we, the British, stayed out of. Nobody could have defeated the Vietnamese, in any case -- certainly not the French!
@@DieFlabbergast lol well, ignoring your username completely, you're no Brit. I don't care if you were born here, if all your descendants were born here, or if you personally knew King Arthur, you're no Brit, you sorry, obsequious, grovelling, arse-kissing apology. Go to the war graves of the Brits that died in 1939, 1940 and most of 1941 and tell those guys _"Americans saved them"._ Get some pride in the men, women and children of your own nation instead of arse-kissing someone else's.
a big waste of tax payers money! Period.
the oxygen you take from me is a waist, you creature
I would gladly pay extra tax if it meant having a a larger better equipped forces but more importantly I love our traditions and history, better spent on this than foreign aid!!! In fact scrap foreign aid spend it on the armed forces, education and health
Also I am guessing you are an American no Englishman would say period
No Sir, I am a Swiss Citizen.
NB: I agree with you, no foreign aid and a fair defense budget without any unnecessary spendings.
As a swiss citizen, what do you care about how us Brits use our money ? Tourism within the UK generates a lot of revenue and people travel from all over the world to see the Queens guards, who are incidentally fully trained professional soldiers who have done tours of duty and now protect our Queen. Stick to cuckoo clocks and Toblerone !
