I vividly remember operation Mi’ihen, and how it ripped me up inside. The naive optimism of Gatta, Luzzu admitting he was partly responsible for Chappu’s death, and the aftermath of Sin obliterating almost everyone on the shore with his gravity blast. I was at a loss for words, and I knew this game was on another level.
Nice presentation of my most beloved FF game. Every couple of years I go back and play it again, along with X-2, which is an extension of the story and an excellent game in its own right. My favorite area was the Mi’hen Hiroad, and I love Besaid for the music. I loved all the characters, but especially Yuna and Tidus (thanks for pronouncing it as I do, btw). I recently bought a book called “The Legend of Final Fantasy X”, which is a deep and evocative examination of this most wonderful game. I encourage any lover of this game to pick it up while you can.
I just came from the Final Fantasy VII video you're doing really good I'm positive you will get a good subscriber base because you tell a good story and you have found a good niche that very many people are interested in who are longtime fans and who are new and may have just heard about how great some of these games are, that being said I will subscribe to add one more to this number I'll try to catch the videos this is my second account good luck with everything I have subscribed and liked
I searched specifically "should I start final fantasy x now" because I would like to ask my wife to play her first RPG ever. It was the most significant for me, and I couldn't see any reason it wouldn't be one for her. Also her English will benefit greatly from this, no doubt :D
And it is wrong. If you write a story and pour your heart into characters that you love, I'm sure you'll be impressed by how little respect people will accord you AND your work such that they don't even bother to say their names right, even after they've been voiced and confirmed multiple times. It's all just stubbornness, and honestly disrespect.
THANK YOU for giving Wakka the respect he deserves. It always drives me insane how many people get so irritated and caught up being mad at him early on because of his hatred for the Al Bhed and then just don't even acknowledge his growth as his beliefs and views start to change for the better. Not to mention completely ignoring how he came to feel the hate to begin with. Wakka is one of the best bros out of all of the final fantasy titles and he deserves better than the soft skinned playthrough channels that always dump on him because they can't see that his Al Bhed racism arc is literally there to show that your prejudices can blind you and it's never too late to learn and be a better person.
He's made fun of by sheeples who fully trust the so-called "government", believe we were in a pandemic and got themselves jabbed multiple times without any questions asked. The "conspiracy theorist" haters. Quite funny and despicable.
This is an amazing video and I completely agree with everything in it! I just wish you could have touched on how freaking awesome Auron is. He's one of the best characters, for me, in the entire franchise! He's one of the best kinds of teachers, the kind that gives a struggling student some answers but also allows him or her to discover the most important things so that the lesson sticks with the student. And he's an awesome friend. At any rate, there's one other reason I found myself captivated by this game, but you didn't touch on it because of spoilers. So I guess I won't spoil anything, either. Except to say that the evolution of the phrase, "I hate you," throughout the story, and the speaker and the audience of that phrase--their relationship to each other--that struck a huge chord with me, especially at the time of my first playing of it. I don't want to ramble too much, but your video was great, and I'd totally be interested in checking this game out if I hadn't ever played it before.
FF 10 was really fun I just loved the world building and characters. When I first saw ff 10 I thought eh it looks okay… then I played it and it was beautiful 😅
Currently at my breaking point since i got attack reels and realizing how miserable I’m gonna be trying to get the rest ofwakkas overdrive and thingy for his celestial weapon
Not too hard if you recruit the characters in Luca and reset the characters levels to get the rewards in tournaments. You just have to make sure you don't spend too much with contracts and leveling your characters.
@@nonianv6122 Sometimes you just have to get as close as you can and bust out a sphere or Ject shot and hope the RNG is in your favor. Also you can just do it when you have the airship and wait enough games until his contract expires and then hire him for yourself.
After Ten the franchise felt like it went off in another direction. MMO's and sequels to mainline games were the norm, not to mention all of the sudden spinoffs.
well after 10 SquareSoft merged with Enix and Final fantasy stopped being a passion project and turned into a money machine. I still enjoy 12 and 14:ARR but everything else is lazy imo
Played with my girlfriend all the way through, I told her it was the greatest story and love story ever told and she became a fan of final fantasy because of it
Still too many spoilers. Anyhow, if you don't want to waste a lot of time in your life and are a thorough player who tries to find and do everything you can, it's hard to say, but you probably shouldn't touch this game. It's WAY too good. Once you know what you don't know about the story yet, you probably won't be able to stop until the end. I'm at about 225 hours of playtime on my PS2 past Seymour Natus, I feel additionally trapped because I haven't died a single time yet, and my end time could be at around 500 hours. I might not only be half-way through.
This game is insanely overrated. It has one of the most boring and generic stories. The gameplay is fine, its enjoyable to play, but the story is just super generic and uninteresting. Final Fantasy 12 is in the exact same boat. Good games, but thats it.

You have good taste! Just out of curiosity what's your no.1?
@@maxweaponageif this bro is my soul mate, it’s Shadow of the Colossus.
I hope you played XVI, that one was a immaculate piece of art too
My favorite game of all time is Nier Automata. I have never cried so much.
World of warcraft should be my number 1, but its an mmo. I played it back in the day amd nothing has allowed me to reexperiemce that magic

I hope your wife played and enjoyed the game! Its an excellent way to get into the series as a whole too! please keep me updated ❤
Thank you for not calling him "teedus". I dont care what's correct, that's how I read it in my head when I was 8 and that's how it is.
I read that it's supposed to be teedus in a magazine when it first came out.. It just never sounded right to me 🤣
@@maxweaponageThat's because it's not right, lol! I second wholeheartedly what spacepope said!

It’s all about water. Tide, baby! It’s Tide!
It's not even his name , I don't remember any in game character calls him tidiis

Playing through it right now. In Thunder Plains. Haven't touched the game for a week so I will play today!!!
Not a nice area. And I accidentally got too overpowered because of it.
@@undyingsoul3949 I'm now in Calm Lands! How's your progress going?
only final fantasy i ever played (back on ps2)

but i am still sure this is one of the better ones
FFX ending still makes me tear up.
Me too!

FF6,8,9&X are the best imo.
i always replay them for nostalgia reasons.
they are very special games, i cant count how many times I've bought all of their re-releases over the years
Its also because 12,13, 15, 16 are HOT!!!! GARBAGE!!!!!
