I just set up a patreon myself, I feel like I have a really good rewards system set up so I’m really excited to see where it goes but; from you’re experience as a full time cosplayer with a patreon- what can I expect and what should I avoid doing?
This video resonates with me 🥹 I am also a corporate dropout (I quit my job) and I thought about doing cosplay full time. But it's been a huge struggle for me since then... I am in the verge of quitting the dream and do something else instead because of where I am right now has little to no opportunities available for a creative like me.
I do feel that if its your dream you should pursue it but its going to take allot of work and investing like any business. So if you need to find a way to finance it with a well paying corporate or side job thatd be best, specially if you live somewhere that lacks the opportunities. Its worth a try if you really want it but you can also pursue another dream if this one is not working out! I do feel like it would take allot for someone to make it work unless they magically go viral and I always which cosplayers who are pursuing this patience and strength cause its not easy!
