There’s a star on the key that corresponds with where they put that special pin. I don’t know what it does… other than maybe something to do with either bumping or patents. Also, at least on mine, the outer key pins have countermilling that catches the inner driver pin spools. It either didn’t effect your picking at all or the one you were picking just didn’t have it. Those caught pretty bad when I was first messing with it. Great picking!
Yah, my next video is of the Mul-T-Lock Interactive Plus where those counter milled outer key pins play a big role. Looking at my gut section of this video, I see that the key pins have that serration around the outside that indicate that they have the counter milling, and I can see that the inner driver pins have the lip, they just weren't felt (were ineffective) in this particular lock.
You beat me to it. I was going to say what you did about the serrations on the inner key pin locking with the spool of the inner driver pin. It held me up for awhile and I believe is the feature that takes this lock from being a purple to a brown level lock.

That special pin is said to be anti bump in ads. Would say that would also limit somewhat key copying
