Roaring Camp’s 60th Anniversary [4K]

April 6, 2023 marked exactly 60 years since Roaring Camp’s opening day. Ticket fares were slashed to the original 1963 price, and birthday cake was served.

The tracks through San Lorenzo Canyon were hit pretty hard during the storms this past winter. It had to be repaired before trains could run.

I personally think that they ought to lay a third rail and let the narrow gauge trains go down to Santa Cruz!

I’ve always thought the same thing myself. It would be extremely difficult to do so, though.
