The ironic thing about DEI supporters is that they are inadvertently saying that they believe marginalized people can NEVER be qualified for a job or position without the deck being stacked in their favor.
I've been in these circles for a while and the most common argument is that "the deck has been stacked against minorities for so long it's become the norm" so DEI initiatives are suppose to restore the balance. It's not about ability but opportunity. What do you think?
@halfacupkake I'll give you an example, I was in college for a time ( a hole story in of itself), but one social studies class we had presentation for each other and one student came up with how to combat racism in college, with one example being the amount of black students admitted vs amount of non white being admitted. There hole presentation only relied on only 25% of the college students were black... not realizing that it had nothing to do with racism but population. At the time (IDK about today), the black population in America was 12%/13%. Meaning the only way for the ratio of college kids to change would be for the black population to triple in a short period of time. Or for less white kids to go to college. Otherwise there will always be more whites than black in most spaces due to population alone. People sometimes see racism where there is none, not saying it doesn't exist. But it you misdiagnose a problem, or see something harmless as a problem, you will never fix it or have a good outcome.

Glad to see iowa in there amongst the based AGs. I'm a bit biased, but I honestly think Iowa is one of the most based states in the union. They have explicitly anti-dei laws in place, they have major laws about making sure gun rights never get infringed at the state level, Des Moines is like one of the safest cities in the country. Plus we make pretty much all the ethanol for the US.
I keep hearing about it, but I cannot be the only one who does not actually know what the George Floyd incident was about. When I try to search on UA-cam, all I find is legacy media outlets and no Indie content creators that I would actually trust. Do you think you could make a video that's shortly overviews what it was?
He was arrested and pinned to the ground by the cops. He died while he was pinned and there was heavy debate as to what the cause of death was. The DEI crowed think he suffocated due to the cops knee on the back/side of his neck. The non-DEI crowed think it was a Fentanyl OD. His demise was used as a rallying point for radical left wing politics as they painted it as a racially motivated attack.
'Diversity broadly supported' typically means something like 'is anti-discrimination.' _Scuffed,_ as Kirsche notes, which in the studies I've seen usually means that as soon as somebody actually explains what 'anti-racism' means, all the support disappears.
We presumed it would never happen because we were so anti-communist. We let the subversion in under our noses under the guise of liberty and equality. We were expecting revolutionaries in the streets, not managers in the HR departments and professors in the universities. The weak point was the large corporations, as microcosms of government they were easily corruptible because funnily enough the nepotistic bourgeoisie lean left due to getting handed everything and not having to work for it. And so the socialists created a virus in the crucible of capitalism. We are just now seeing the ratification of 50 years of subversion and agitprop.
