Noel: we are 1 hour into the flight and i cant feel my legs
stranger: staring immensily
I’m happy to see videos of you traveling economy. This experience is what most subscribers can relate to. Not all that first class premium service videos people keep posting.
I totally agree - I gave up on a few other channels where the person running it obviously was getting business and first class fligts for free, in exchange for their review of the service. Noel doesn't pass up business class flights, but he definitely does a lot of economy flights as well as trains, and even off-the-beaten-path types of journeys.
@@Win-xl7no paul stewart in australia is really good for having variety. Mainly because so many of his flights are on economy only planes and routes. But mainly because everyone knows what the two major airlines domestic 737 business class is like
I agree. I never watch "Emirates' first class" videos... Pay for your flights and fly Ryanair, Frontier and IndiGo as we do!!!
one of the reasons he’s the best in the business
I don't come here to relate. I come here to experience airlines I may never fly on. Wind your neck in and stop projecting.
Volaris marketing team - "Pack them in like sardines"
Sardines - "No thanks we'll swim"
Dear Noel, you understand now as 6’3” Mexican, I struggle in economy class. You missed one of the most beautiful beach in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta!
He would have been as red as a lobster in 5 minutes on that beach 🦞
Does this guy ever leave the airports? he seems to travel solely for the sake of being on the plane, turning around and flyin back the next day, or a few hours later.
3:42 - I know it's no laughing matter but "DVT Express" made me chuckle 😅
"accidentally letting one out"
lets hope 186 don't "let one out" all at the same time!
Noel: I can't feel my legs.
The person next to him: I can't feel my legs and the guy in the next seat just dropped his guts.
Still could be worse. I once flew from Chicago to Manchester on an American airlines plane that clearly had a leaky toilet that had soaked up inside the insulation in the walls. Being in the window seat smelled worse than a festival portaloo on Sunday at Glastonbury
That must’ve been shit 😂
This video is ready-made for a drinking game: have one when Noel mispronounces "Puerto Vallarta"
Hahaha now theres an idea !
How much? One shot per? Maybe 2 for the daredevils lol
I am 6' 9" tall. Seems like if I ever need to fly volaris, I will just have to cut off my legs and throw them in the check baggage. Good to know.
Or just fly Aeromexico
@SamMurphyHSV Maybe you should try the overhead bins...or checking yourself with your luggage in a big bag like a pair of skis.
@@kimedwards2010 Think they'd give me a discount if I checked myself through to my final destination before boarding? lmao
Just choose row 1, 12 and 14 with extra leg room
@@kwwong2013, having had previous experience with Volaris, when I chose my seat online the seat map showed a A-320 layout, and I paid extra for the emergency exit.
When I boarded I found out it was an A-321, and the emergency exit was a different row. I complained and the lady said they would refund my money. I told them I didn`t want the refund, I wanted room for my legs (I am 6'4").
It was too late for anything, except being utterly pissed.
Boarding on Volaris in always hilarious. There are often double booked seats too.
I started laughing when you said, "I can't feel my legs." I feel your pain Noel, I feel you pain!
why did he have to leave airside to transfer between flights?
As somebody that flew every 2 weeks, there’s an easy hack (im 6’4). I only fly if there’s an emergency seat available which costs 8 dlls additional. Flying regular seats calls for anxiety and eventually torture.
you are the best aviation vlogger
You really can't say that, there's so many with different styles and they're all pretty good
Except sam chui, he's a creep
@@jcspotter7322 while I agree Sam Chui is no good, I love Noel’s videos more than any one else’s. That’s my opinion. You may have yours.
I totally get you in not feeling comfortable sitting down and being cramped up. Volaris is the only airline that flies out directly from Chicago to my parent's hometown of Morelia and that is a 4 hour flight. I always pay the additional 30 bucks to get the premium front row seat so I can stretch my legs lol! If those seats are taken, I have to suck it up hahaha!
I hope this doesn’t sounds strange, but long, stressful day, these videos really help relax my mind and “center” myself. Thank you for what you do, happy travels!
great video, thanks for posting. Its nice to see videos of what its like to fly as the average person, not just business class . I especially enjoy yours videos of obscure airlines, routes and destinations.
At my age I'll pay extra to fly business or sit in an exit row. My biggest fear is thrombosis. Noel, I kept shaking my head looking at your predicament.
I fly Volaris all the time and I always pay the extra fee for either a front seat or an emergency row seat :-)
Noel gives the most entertaining flight review experiences - it’s not just about the aircraft and the flight, it’s the whole airport experience too, often with a hotel and restaurant thrown in. In this case, we got some Mexican beer that Ive never heard of…Always one to ‘take one for the team,’ Noel flies the airlines some of us wouldn’t dare (although I would definately choose Volaris over some of the other dodgy airlines he’s been on!) Well done as always!
Just recently found your channel and am enjoying it immensely. You obviously put a lot of work into these for our viewing pleasure so thanks much for that. On a previous vid someone commented on your choice of music accompanying your vids. I totally agree. They are fun and add to the mood. I especially enjoyed the early one here when you were talking about your leg room, or rather, lack of it. Love the comment about the chewing gum and the hand sanitizer.
4:00 That is the only "Mexican" Boeing 747 and in a very rare 747SP, since it was left in Tijuana a long time ago, now it belongs to the country but it was never used again but they have it displayed without having dismantled it.
beautiful 747SP wish they would have it in a museum for people to visit or maybe I could buy it!!!!!
That's the same airframe that suffered a serious incident in 1985 while flying for China Airlines (which, despite the name, is not from mainland China but from Taiwan) on a flight from Taipei to Los Angeles. An engine failure led to botched attempts by the crew to stabilize the plane, which caused her to free-fall over 10,000 meters and almost crash on the Pacific Ocean. Fortunately, the pilots were able to recover in time and the plane diverted to San Francisco, with serious structural damage and several injured passengers.
Reminds me of the cramped conditions I used to suffer when flying on Thomas Cook a320s.
I flew on a Thomas Cook a320 many years ago now and pretty much the only thing I remember about it was that it was cramped
I am LIVING through your videos! Can’t wait for my trip to Eastern Europe in July!
Always a great weekend when Noel uploads ❤️
2020: The world's most cramped A330 on Cebu Pacific!
2021: The world's most cramped A320 on Volaris!
2022: Who's next??
A350
Most crammed A321 on Wizz air!
200 seats on a Fokker 50
757-300 on Condor. 275 seats on a narrowbody
Virgin Galactic
Thanks for flying those seats so I don't have to Noel! My knees hurt just watching.
I would like to see the research completed on boarding process. I always think it should be windows, middles then aisles. This means when you get on board you’ll have space and none of the “sorry, I just need to get in there....”
He didn't pay attention to the boarding process.
They board by groups according to the fare paid premium passengers board first then passengers that purchased access to overhead bins and finally passengers who are flying with only a personal item that fits under the seat in front of them.
It is super crowded, this airline however usually charges less than a bus, that ia why the service is ultra límited.
When it's this cramped why don't they just have the cargo version and tape you to the sides and floor?
Hi Noel delighted to see you are enjoying Mexico one of my favourite places, friendly people, amazing food, and every beer is great
I had a similar experience with similar legroom (and I’m only 5’7”) on an Alitalia A320 from Rome to Belgrade
You have a sense of humour. You just saved my marriage by not booking with Volaris and the embarrassment of ripping one go in the seat 😂
🤣
Great vlog as always! Looking fwd to the next one!
Thanks a ton!
Noel, this reminded me of the disaster flight I had in February.... I took 2 trips from Philadelphia to Mccarran Las Vegas. First trip was American Airbus A321 in the older interior which was fairly roomy. The last trip back..... a disaster! American changed our gate 30 minutes to boarding, then changed the plane on us so all of our seats were wrong. It was in that same configuration of this plane you are on. I'm 6'4 and had a window seat. 5hrs of having my knees buried in the seat on front of me. It was HORRIBLE! Never again!
This is the same seat configuration we get in low cost carriers in India. Leg cramps are so common for me despite being only 5'8". However, rows 1, 12 and 13 are extra legroom rows which you can prebook for as low as 8 dollars on top of your base fare.
Edit: some operate with 180 seating configuration as well
So I can’t fly for medical and personal reasons but I watch all these videos as if I were flying with you. So thank you 😊
I’ve flown volaris every summer since I was born and I couldn’t agree more, very cramped, especially as you grow. 😬
Do you you know bee experience delays with this airline?
@@stactasteoflife2079 I’ve only experienced one delay with Volaris, but that was because there weren’t enough steps available for all of the airplanes at the airport where I landed (about a 40 minute delay)
Ok thanks
Noel, this was a close second to 'drunk on a ferry' Noel. Keep up the good work and a thank you from me as a short-arse for willingly going through pain so that I can vicariously live as a tall person. 😉👍🏻🤣
You're a brave man to fly all these flights in coach! Montejo is also available in the US now, it's a standard middle-of-the-road lager beer. It's good, but still just a lager. I tend to gravitate towards Negra Modelo or Dos Equis.
you are still in mexico. great flights. since you fly all over the world it is nice to see what you experience on every airline.
Love that you did Tijuana which is what makes your channel stand out. San Diego is one of the busiest border cities in the world in terms of border crossing traffic. It is very common for latinos who live in the USA to fly out of Tijuana to various cities in Mexico or Latin America. I myself like to leave my car in TJ and fly to Cancun from Tijuana.
4:52 that woman is seriously going to go into recline on the poor (and very tall!!) person behind?!
Puerto Vallarta is lovely. I went there on Holiday in 2007 and loads of nice beaches there.
That cramped seating makes me break out in a sympathetic cold sweat.
Me: Wanting to watch quality plane footage by Noel
My ads: STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING! YOU LIKE PLANES? JOIN THE US AIRFORCE! YEEAAAHHHH
This review is only second to your going to Spain for tapas lunch video ! Nailed it again Noel!
Editting made the difference today. Definitely need to keep little touches like today's in the future. Made for a giggle.
Hi Noel I love watching your videos they are epic I watch every week
That looked like hell on earth that first flight with that many seats crammed in
Damn! I don't think I could survive that...If you found this video interesting like I did, then check out James Asquith YT videos
@@rosem7568 already so love slammer time 🤣🤣🤣
that’s why I always get either an exit row seat or a seat in front of the exit row
That`s not a plane, its a torcher chamber, saw an advert online for a lady who has a torcher chamber in her basement, similar thing, although she had a whip instead of a trolley.
Both have the same effects on your legs, probably a similar price too. Noel seems to thrive on abject misery when flying, love it mate.
Hi Noel, thanks for making amazing content. I have a question, what is the app that you use for to look at live flight update in the air? Thank you.
i flew volaris back in 2016 to Mexico City and the plane caught on fire. Wr had an emergency landing in Atlanta. We were there waiting almost 24 hours. Until they finally sent a plane from Guadalajara. They only gave us a 200 credit for future flights. The credits were only good to use for 6 months.
Bro I swear this dude has been everywhere in the world. Like where have you not been
That CDMX approach, doing the WTC turn 🤩
6:36 that's Los Mochis, it's where you can take the only passenger train in Mexico, the Chepe.
Jetstar in Australia also operates their A320s at a capacity of 186 seats with their A321s configured for 230 seats. The new A321neo LRs Jetstar will soon receive are configured with 232 seats.
"Accidently let one out and everyone looked" - I laughed out loud!
wow didnt expect N4522V to still be sitting there
All the time flying with Volaris back in 2012 was a good experience
Flying into Seattle at night is amazing. So beautiful!
Noel that was not an Airbus, that was what we Americans call a tuna can! LOL! You are a travel trooper. Love your videos.
Watching this now and literally spat my coffee out and snort laughed when you reffered to this as the "DVT" Express... Brilliant
Ahhhhh I can’t believe you didn’t get out to see beautiful puerto Vallarta!!!! It’s so nice
Flying on a low cost carrier I wouldn't book a tight connection. Never knew a low cost carrier that could be relied upon to run on time.
Southwest
Southwest like he said 😌👆🏽
Gol linhas aéreas
Beleive it or not,Ryanair have never let me down.
@Ben Smith Glad to be proven wrong. My experience with low cost carriers is in Australia and Asia. Well done Southwest.
I flew on Air Canada, many years ago from Toronto to Caracas, Venezuela and the seats were very tight like this flight. 4 hours of being cramped. But Air Canada is a,excellent airline.
Have flown on them since and thankfully had much more leg room.
Aye. 🇨🇦
I flew Volaris a few years ago , MEX-PVR-MEX, very cheap, nothing wrong with them. I don't remember anything that cramped though.
( Glad to see you got the pronunciation for Puerto Vallarta right in the voiceover...lol Vay-ar-ta 😊)
So nice that you visited my hometown, Tijuana!!
186 seats on a LCC A320 NEO is way more common than you expect. Almost all LCC operate it in this config, From this to easyjet to indigo to airasia.
"Give him the comfy chair Cardinal Biggles" Monty Python sketch No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!
I think Vueling also pack 186 on the A320.... But I suspect that utter lack of pitch in the back is because even when they use the densest configuration for the type, they manage to add a few extra inches for the first few rows (without removing any at the back), which means those at the back will be extra-squeezed. A 'normal' 186-seat NEO with the space-lavatory set up should actually provide 30-31" for all rows.
When you have to let one out, you have to let one out! 😂😂😂
The big difference is that the US charges about $40-50 in passenger charges on an international flight arriving into the USA. Go across the border by car (or CBX in TIJ/SAN) and it's free basically. This is also why near the border airports like BUF and BLI are popular with Canadians flying to US destinations. It's an instant savings by making it a domestic flight.
Build a wall he said .... build a bridge over that wall and catch a domestic flight 😂
Nice review of Volaris
I can feel for you! Vueling are very similar
Same I have felt every part of this video. Noel's content is just amazing...Like James Asquith YT, check him out as well!
Porto V-eye-arta. FFS 😂😂😂
He's a Brit, I'm sure if us from North and Central America we'd have trouble pronouncing their cities. FFS
Actually it’s Pwair-toe vye-YART-uh.
Any day Noel uploads is a good day
Fantastic video again Noel
What do you use to bring up the flightplan on your phone?
Oh man, the worst I had as a TAM A320 from GRU to BOG, my legs were numb!
You would think they would board the window seat first....Great video!
BTW, Volaris is owned by Indigo Partners, the same parent company as Frontier & Wizz Air.
My favorite city in the world I've been to so far. Beaches are world-class. I hope you have time to go and enjoy PV sometime in the future. Volaris used to fly out of Chicago Midway. I'm SO glad I sprung for American or United.. And I'm only 6'00".
Favorite Mexican Beer as requested - A Pacifico with a lime :-)
What app do you use to visualize flight routing? It shows up at around 5:24 in the video.
Would like to know that as well :)
I don't know
ForeFlight
@@UpperAnimated sounds like a sexual thing... "if you wanna have a great flying experience, you should do at least 10 minutes of ForeFlight first"
I’m getting claustrophobic watching this.
Comedy gold. “DVT express”
Hey Noel. I really enjoyed the video. Might I suggest a trip to JFK to check out the TWA Airport Hotel. I just saw a video tour and I looks Amazing. Food for thought. Cheers...
Noel, which one was worse for crammed in flight Cebu Pacific or Volaris? Was there WiFi on board Volaris? Great video as always!
Hi, I have a curiosity to know what kind of mic do you use to go under the mask? I do the a lot of videos traveling but I don’t know what type of mic to use so people can understand what I’m saying. Thank you!
Thankfully every time I've been on Volaris, I've been traveling with family, so I take a bit of leg room from my much shorter siblings. It's the only plane I've been in where there is no way my legs would fit.
Those flights on volaris could be as low as 5$ but then you add all fees and it’s not so cheap
Literally just watched a Volaris taxiing at IAH
I’m actually ok with airport security not being “easy”.
Great video 🛫✈️
Glad I watched this. I was considering this airline from Phoenix to Guadalajara. I think I’ll choose a different airline 😂
Noel, What phone app did you use to check your flight while in the air?
Same pitch on the long retired Monarch A300-600R. Long hauls to India via Bharain were crippling.
Indigo Airlines also has 186 seater A320 neo’s in their fleet. Flown on them from del to ccu.
Finally someone does a video on them
6:24 Why I love your channel.
Very interesting. Mexico looks great.
Not much space aboard but at least cabin crew where good.
Free beer looks tasty. 👌
My friend as you may or may not know but I have been on that flight ever since I was a kid I been on that flight for a few years or so and I actually like it
Love this Mexico series ,
