Please don’t stop making this board! You really filled a huge gap in the game!! Love this concept I’m 250 lbs but I like to shortboard and this thing gooooooeeess!
Picked up mine last April. Since, I've surfed my biggest overhead day to ankle biter backside mush, during which it performed effortlessly & flawlessly & is pure enjoyment. I've other ultra-cool hipster Widowmakers, for which I now have to force myself to use: this is my go-to board for everything. I'm amazed @ detail Todd put into making best board for me. I'm 53 6'3" 240 lbs &; was outta water/State 25 years; & now having daily blast on mine, so believe & hit it. Remember: "Friends don't let friends ride funboards";-)
I’ll be 40 this year and I started surfing when I was eight years old. I am 6’4” 250 and this is BY FAR the best shortboard I’ve ever had. Mind blowingly fast and loose. Just so so much fun!
As a 285 pound dude I am always self-conscious going in looking for boards shit it was so hard to learn how to surf because I didn’t even start till I was in my mid 20s and I did it to lose weight and people just gave me dirty looks all the time. Anyway man I got to get this board soon I’m just stoked that you’re out there making stuff for Big Dudes like me!! Thanks for keeping it real brother.
I've had this board for a year and LOVE it! Im 6'2 220-240 and a 6'4 monstachief floats, paddles and catches waves like a dream. No need to go longer its all right there under my chest. I enjoy it in all conditions, 2-3' mush to 4-6' quality waves. Quality construction and design I highly recommend it to any other big surfers out there.
I would love to get my hands on one of these to review. I bet it flies. Proctor appear to have led the way with performance boards for bigger guys. The industry seems to slowly be coming round to the fact that there is a market for this kind of equipment.
I had a pod mod as well and I got this monstachief and I never knew a magic board till this proctor!! I’m 6’3” and go between 235-250 lbs depending on the season lol but dude I haven’t touched my podmod since I got my proctor! From 2-6ft the board is so fast and when you step on the tail it turns on a dime and makes surfing a sb so easy and fun! If you get this board you’ll be hooked!! I ride mushy Florida east coast waves on it and it goes well in everything
Hi mate looks great!!! I'm from South Australia. Waves are generally fat. 2-4 range locally. I weigh 110kg / 240lbs /6ft 3". 47 year old. Surfed all my life. Have always been unlucky with board shapes re. Flotation / generating paddling speed. What dimensions would you suggest. And can you ship to Australia?
I'm thinking something around the 7ft - 7'2 range..still live to carve hard. I havnt had a board shapes in 12 years so I'm unsure of modern dimensions + litre volume etc.
Or try a 6’4” Cymatic. I fluctuate between 250-275 depending on the surf season. The 6’4” Cymatic comes in at 45.2 liters paddles really good and so far has performed well in 2-10’ surf. It’s pretty much the only thing I ride. I’d like to try the Monsta Chief but they’re so expensive and not enough reviews to be convinced.
As a 105kg surfer (230?) I love that you are thinking of us dude, but for me the tail looks way too wide of a square. I'd love that in a squash or, most of all, a round tail.
Great video I Will get a smilar um Brasil,I am 59 years now...and mesa padle power..dimensions will be 6'10x22 1/2x3...I hope it will Works my wheigt is ar ou 200 lbs (87 kg) And I really would love to get again the wonderful feeling of riding a wave. Best Daniel,Rio Brazil Aloha
Too expensive... I live on oahu and your board is likr 1000 bucks.. so I jammed a chronic bully board instead same concept but cheaper and by local shaper.. if I ever go cali maybe ill snag one there might be cheaper

How does it perform in steeper waves?
I'm a beginner and I read that bigger guys should have longer boards? Why is this different?
nice
