I think there are no “bad engineers”. My theory is that there is two groups of engineers, the ones who use the black goo to manipulate life, and possibly their own bodies or dna as the engineer in Prometheus clearly has some sort of mutation causing changes to their bodies, bio-mechanically, as seen in the differences between the 2 engineers in Prometheus. One had a broken leg, One was more seriously injured & one wasn't injured at all except his vision thing was broken so he couldn't see any heat signals. The uninjured predator dragged the two injured Predators to a safe location & then set off the ship's self-destruct device. The scene jumps to the Oval engineer ship flying by (for some weird reason). Meanwhile, back on the ground, the uninjured Predator decides to go scout the woods & came across a log cabin. Inside the cabin were about seven hunters sleeping. One of the hunters woke up to go get some coffee. The Predator heads toward the cabin with his cloaking device on. The hunter goes to the bathroom & the Predator walks in the door. The hunter comes back out & the freezes in place because the door is open but he can't see the cloaked Predator in front of it, but he knows something is there. The Predator freezes also because it senses the man but he can't see him either. The hunter slowly backs out of the room & goes to quietly wake up some of the other hunters. While the hunter is in the bedroom, the Predator looks around & sees a window. He goes & cracks the window open & then leaves through the door. Three of the hunters come into the room with their rifles looking around. They don't see anything & then they relax asking the one hunter "are you sure you saw something?" He said "no, but something was there." They relax & one of the hunters notices the window was cracked open. He goes to the window to close it asking, "who opened this window." As he goes to close it, one of the other hunters looks out the window & sees the Predator's eyes flash up in a tree. He screams, "don't close it!" But its too late. The Predator sees the window close, jumps down from the tree, makes the growling noise & the blades come out. Then I woke up & said "Holy shit!" just my theory i was thinking about at the end of Prometheus when they all go see the engineer in stasis Elizabeth Shaw was the first one to speck to the engineer in a panic voice and in English. The engineer looks at her with a shocked look ,and it couldn't be from stasis sickness because he kneels after getting up and then just stands perfectly unlike we see in the humans ,nauseous dehydrated and groggy you see none of this from the engineer. Its only until Peter Weyland tells David to communicate to him in the engineer's language he attacks him keep in mind David didnt say anything up until then. long story short the engineer was maybe stunned that humans made it to him and only until Dave spoke in his language he attacked everyone ,seeing human incapable of doing this without a synthetic and the fact engineers dont deal with synthetic( fact humans) all of their tech seems to be organic in nature and don't deal with AI or synthetic.
There is an other option. The paintings could be a warning instead of an invetation, only humanity lost the knowledge to understand the messeage of it.
That's True but in my head it's probably either due to it being the closest part of their civilization to humanity or it wasn't used as a military base at the time of the drawings.
Did the "engineer" do what he did when he sacrificed himself, planting the seed of all life on earth or only the seed of humanity? Whatever the case, there is another unclear matter, life or humans on Earth evolved on Earth until they were able to reach a stage that enabled them to reach the Engineer's homeland, while the latter remained as it was for millions of years
The sculpted xenomorph in Prometheus raises so many questions Maybe all life comes from this very machine like being Meaning that we come from rudimentary computers Ai was the original intelligence Whatever matter is around can be repurposed into life This is the way nature works
Depending on how you understand the original treatment of the Alien storyline (c.f. StarBeast 1977-1979 by Dan O'Banon et al ), later adpated, and heavily modified, for the script for the movie, and how one defines canon in the Alien universe, then the idea of 'engineers' is an obvious, lazy, and very superficially thought-through, side branch. it's almost an afterthought. None of the people involved after the 1st sequel were a part of the original team which wrote the Alien story. Even Giger was not invited to be apart of the team on the Aliens project. We see divergance in the direction of the lore each time there was a new release, and each time it ventured into strange territories, unarmed with any credible story or even a well-grounded premise. While there may be successful ventures in so far as movies and financial returs, but the actual IP has not matured nor been developed; if anything it has fared less and lost so much of the original magic and mystery, the awe-inspiring and ground-breaking concepts and ideas they brought to us. That was substituted for by fake stories about 'human origins', 'AI', and some mumbo jumbo about a 'black goo' where it had no proper scientific conceptualization or development as you would get in any decent Science Fiction story or novel worth its salt. The whole story arc of the engineers is so shallow and meaningless, because it presupposes quasi-mythical, quasi-theological themes into a diamterically opposite universe, where the focus was not about humanity, not about our past or evolution, but about a unique and very alien universe, the one that was inhabited by the Sapce Jocky race, and that infestation on its Space Derelict. Due to severe lack of creativity, originality and willingness to come up with something new and outstanding (like the original), a copy-and-paste treatment was used to justify this side-quest, to finally give us the most stupid of story lines about an andriod who created the Xenomorph, to exact revenge on both humans and their so-called 'creators'. Not exactly brilliant Sci-Fi material, and a far cry from the dizzying heights of the original masterpiece. This is the inevitable dilution and corruption of some great IPs which suffered due to cheap and lazy efforts when creating sequels and prequels. The driving force did not rely upon an intense desire to 'create' something new; rather it was driven, like other sequels, to cash on the successes of their predecessors. The lack in terms of substance and quality is basically so reflective of today's marketing. It's the packaging that is so glamorous, and expensive-looking, but the content is very vacuous and has no imaginative or creative value. For that reason, it may be a reflection also of how pop culture has divested itself from education, and science. Most science fiction writers were visionary and most were very highly skilled (liguistically and coneptually), well-read, and versed in terms of scientific laws, achievements, new cutting edge developments, and the workings of the universe. Otherwise, you may well end end up with fiction (mediocre type), minus the science.
They need to somehow relate the biomechanical nature of the pathogen/Xenos and the engineers. I like the angels of death comic with them being basically a great filter. Maybe engineers are ones that passed this filter? Engineers Reverse engineering tech of the space jockey? If the xenos are a great filter & can adapt to anything, do they have access to space travel in more higher stages of xeno hive development? I like the idea of David trying to copy a xeno but the engineers could also be doing the same thing? Maybe the xenos are created by engineers & wipe them out then became a angel of death? Also it’s not a bad idea for the xenos just being a species that naturally occurs that is a great filter that is fundamentally a universal direct result of how life is made giving a reason why there is no life found in the universe.
One thing that doesn’t make sense to me is that if Prometheus is supposed to be a prequel then how is earth and its people so much more technologically advanced than the people in alien and the predator movies
I can't get over the fact how bad Engineers look in Covenant compared to Prometheus. I literally did not figure out they were Engineers when watching the movie. I thought they were some slave species of the Engineers or whatever and even this channel I believe hypothesized about them not being Engineers :D
Yeah, most fans want them to be a seed race of the engineers. Scott said they are engineers, and my theory is that the larger engineers have used the pathogen to augment themselves. That said, in covenant itself, the movie, they didnt come out and call them engineers, so another film could change that.
I dont think they looked bad, they had a very specific cool vibe to me. But yeah they didnt look line engineers at all, they really did look like a weaker verison of them, or more primitive
@@aguspuig6615 They looked like humans with white powder on their face. I was never a huge fan of how they made Engineers look in the first place., but at least in the first movie their look seemed like it had some money behind it. You did get a sense that these beings might be from somewhere else....
@@scifiexplained thankx for the reply. Your channel is my favorite Alien related channel :3 Yeah Covenant to me personally was a really bad movie and I kind of lost my interest in the whole franchise. That being said the more time has passes the lower my opinion gets of Prometeus. When I first saw Prometeus I had mixed feelings, but I kind of thought it was an interesting movie. It left a lot of questions and there were a lot of aspects I didn't like. Covenant was cringe and I have to say I don't like the lore that is involved with both movies. There was so many possibilities to explore.
Anybody is bad if sleeping 2000 years and when waking up there are random dudes asking stupid questions and demanding eternal life and above all, don't even offer coffee 🙄.
what makes more sense is that Epimetheus is the engineer who drinks the black goo on earth and dies and Prometheus is the engineer on his way to earth to evolve the humans who were the mistake Epimetheus created by not making them capable of living properly.
the vases would definitely just like destroy all life on the planet, maybe have some weird bug evolutions like an earthworm to a hammerpede. any evolution would be a violent nightmare really but i think the humans will just die mostly
There’s no way the population David killed are engineers. They do not have the signature black eyes and super pale skin. I believe they are still out there and I wonder if the one portrayed on the head statue is their world leader or something. That guy must still be out there.
No they wearnt engineers people keep mixing them 2 up together just like how people think that gold ish goo was the same as the black goo later in the movie but the engineers came across this gold goo on their travels with it being the elixir of life and holy grail to biologically. It helped saved the engineers population problems I believe and also used it to jump start evolution creating human like lifeforms in just a matter of a few thousand yrs . They also terraformed earth to it is today and called it Eden. The engineers ran out of gold goo do they try artificially make it but it black goo. Which a creates death instead of promoting life like the gold goo does .
So basically Ridley Scott is plagiarizing history channel's ancient aliens. I watched those for wild entertainment and all of it is straight out of the show
It affects every living thing, but according to David, it had a unique reaction to Humans that allowed him to tweak the organism to be aggressive and survive.
@@Fourtune1 I didn't mean to portray the engineers as perfect but they were portrayed as highly advanced. Leagues beyond humans yet they still made an almost human level gaff.
COVENANT needs to be decanonized. Awful movie. We deserve a proper sequel to Prometheus where we see Shaw meet the real Engineers not those primitive goblins David destroyed
I'm pretty sure the planet 4 beings are not engineers and Ridley Scott said as much but I could be wrong. And I've always disliked the idea that the engineers wanted to wipe out humans because we were violent or killed their messenger/Jesus. ua-cam.com/video/06MgTvpEHB0/v-deo.htmlsi=J9a-TABMyWgnrxG1
@scifiexplained I mean, he raises some good points. The planet 4 beings have whites in their eyes. They are considerably shorter, and their skin is not as smooth and marble like as those found on LV-223. I think hiding information from people is never a good thing. People should have all the information and make their own decisions. Kroft is my favorite alien youtuber, so maybe that makes me biased. idk. But at the very least, these beings have to be different species they're similar but not the same thing Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals.
@scifiexplained the group of beings on early earth were all the same height and there was no reference to compare them too if I remember correctly but I'll have to take another look but if they've changed this much from one another due to evolution then they're no longer the same being like dogs and wolves
The Xenomorph created the Engineers, who seeded life on Earth as part of a reproduction cycle unknown to humanity, who are not suppose to have anything to do with them
I really wish that people would do more research on a subject before making a video about it. Almost all of what you said has already been explained. I really don't feel like pointing out everything but i will give one thing. You said they were going to destroy us for no apparent reason. This is not the case. The engineers took up a Human with them and taught Him their ways and the way to live. Instead of the humans believing this Man when He comes back, they chose to betray and crucify Him. That Man? Jesus Christ. They were coming to destroy earth for what they had done to the Human they taught. Ridley Scott already explained this but there is a way you can figure things out. When they carbon date the engineer Holloway asks "how long has it been dead?" and Shaw says "2000 years give or take". So, when they found out about Jesus Christ being crucified, they prepared for the journey to destroy the earth. But that is when they had the outbreak and were all killed except for the one engineer who was able to put himself in stasis.

Why did the cave paintings show the Engineers pointing towards a military instalation? it is a messy story that makes no sense if you think about it.
There is an other option. The paintings could be a warning instead of an invetation, only humanity lost the knowledge to understand the messeage of it.
That's True but in my head it's probably either due to it being the closest part of their civilization to humanity or it wasn't used as a military base at the time of the drawings.
Thinking about your old Skyrim playthru and wanted to see if were still here.
Bro that's zordon.
He can't fool us.

3 minutes in and the story of Enki and Enlil...the Anunna is exactly this from 10,000 old Sumerian tablets.
Hold on now, this story MIRRORS the story of the ANNUNAKI!!!
THIS IS PLAGIARISM!!!😎
Great video!
the thing that looks like a stock is a counter balace notice how hes holding it with one hand
Did the "engineer" do what he did when he sacrificed himself, planting the seed of all life on earth or only the seed of humanity?
Whatever the case, there is another unclear matter, life or humans on Earth evolved on Earth until they were able to reach a stage that enabled them to reach the Engineer's homeland, while the latter remained as it was for millions of years
Okay sorry, you did go on to broader views. My apologies, and my admiration. Subbed!
I'd like to hear what you think about raised by wolves being in the same universe
I hope they stay tf away from that whole another universe thing. Like no. Please.
Same they don’t even look like the original engineers
Crossovers were better in the 2000’s
Its funny these writers never go to other galaxies. Always another universe.
The sculpted xenomorph in Prometheus raises so many questions
Maybe all life comes from this very machine like being
Meaning that we come from rudimentary computers
Ai was the original intelligence
Whatever matter is around can be repurposed into life
This is the way nature works
Sooo Aliens Annunaki ?
B I N G O !! AWESOME INSIGHT!
The suit is removable. Thats why they have them lined up in the hallway of the ship.
Thats the pilot suits, I think i was talking about the pressure suit underneath, that doesnt cover the hands, feet, or head.
Your channel is my favorite Alien related channel :3
Yeah Covenant to me personally was a really bad movie and I kind of lost my interest in the whole franchise.
So basically they copy this from the Bible!
3:41 I think this guy really screwed any of the few good ideas in Prometheus
what makes more sense is that Epimetheus is the engineer who drinks the black goo on earth and dies and Prometheus is the engineer on his way to earth to evolve the humans who were the mistake Epimetheus created by not making them capable of living properly.
the vases would definitely just like destroy all life on the planet, maybe have some weird bug evolutions like an earthworm to a hammerpede. any evolution would be a violent nightmare really but i think the humans will just die mostly
Who the hell is “Brindley Scott”!?
There’s no way the population David killed are engineers. They do not have the signature black eyes and super pale skin. I believe they are still out there and I wonder if the one portrayed on the head statue is their world leader or something. That guy must still be out there.
Probably sub species kinda like how all humans don’t look the same even tho we are human
@@AYAKXSHIwell not really
No they wearnt engineers people keep mixing them 2 up together just like how people think that gold ish goo was the same as the black goo later in the movie but the engineers came across this gold goo on their travels with it being the elixir of life and holy grail to biologically. It helped saved the engineers population problems I believe and also used it to jump start evolution creating human like lifeforms in just a matter of a few thousand yrs . They also terraformed earth to it is today and called it Eden. The engineers ran out of gold goo do they try artificially make it but it black goo. Which a creates death instead of promoting life like the gold goo does .
3:11 From where is this taken? They have a conversation.
The engineers would have to be fairly primitive themselves, because creating humans should be trivial for a super advanced race, not a big deal.
49:19
Bro...Scifiexplain THIS:
the carvings on the ampulles...Aint that Yautja language??
Our Another God Ganesha looks like Engineer too
So basically Ridley Scott is plagiarizing history channel's ancient aliens. I watched those for wild entertainment and all of it is straight out of the show
“COULD IT BE……”
How would a substance that radically changes the DNA of all life only affect humans on Earth?
It affects every living thing, but according to David, it had a unique reaction to Humans that allowed him to tweak the organism to be aggressive and survive.
3:15, this is already the story of ancient man and "the gods" in real life.
Anunnaki?
@@Gracer146 see? You already know!
Great work 👏
why would they not look for predator??..i mean predator is mopping the floor with the xenomorphs lol
Could the eggs in the derelict have come from the queen that came out of the space jockey. He could have found an egg somewhere else ? 🙂
The descriptive phrase is not "...Geiger-like...". The correct term is "GeiGERian".
Maybe it’s all backwards. Maybe it was the aliens that evolved into the engineers and then evolved into humans.
You make zero sense
Xeno morphs were created by David using the pathogen.
It's odd that they were so advanced and yet mismanaged to f@ck things up.
Same can be said about humans compared to other species. Intelligence doesn’t mean perfection.
@@Fourtune1 I didn't mean to portray the engineers as perfect but they were portrayed as highly advanced. Leagues beyond humans yet they still made an almost human level gaff.
Romulus, Prometheus & Covenant should all be deleted from existence.
Or just don’t watch?
Who defines the good versus the bad angels?
I want more answers 😭
COVENANT needs to be decanonized. Awful movie. We deserve a proper sequel to Prometheus where we see Shaw meet the real Engineers not those primitive goblins David destroyed
MISTAKE: I don't like that we call them 'engineers.' It's a term that connotates mechanical, spiritless, soulless,
Not at all, that’s just how you interpret it.
^ , if ever in doubt. Just Google the definition
What is Bio-Engineering then?
@@msmarshall854 Yeah are we just gonna sit here and act like bio-engineering isn't a thing? No mistake here outside of your own understanding.
@@SatanicBarbequethe whole thing is soulless 😂😂

@@scifiexplained I'm sorry to hear you say that but we all have our opinions
@@scifiexplained where are you getting this information about a fake script?
@scifiexplained hmm I'll have to try and find the Twitter post you're referring to I appreciate your perspective
The engineers are evil.
The Xenomorph created the Engineers, who seeded life on Earth as part of a reproduction cycle unknown to humanity, who are not suppose to have anything to do with them
That franchise ended in "Aliens"
I’m very glad that there is such a low number of people that think that. Whew 😮💨
@@tylerm1997I think it's fucking stupid when people say that 😅
L take
Your intelligence ended at birth
Factually wrong.
How about ths? Ridley Scott botched the story... It was poorly written and he contradicted the entire xenomorph history...
Why do the engineers look European?
I once ate sea urchin does that mean I do it all the time? Your logic could use.......some work.
Im not in the mood for the engineers and black goo. I just want the alien world that hadnt been altered by ridley scotts ideas
You're the problem
