  • "When it comes to where you choose to plant your roots and grow a family, you think about community, livelihood, the future of your children."
There is so much more to growing your family than just buying a house. A house is a structure. A home is a place to nurture and grow your family. Northern Michigan is a truly nurturing community, from the people to the businesses, the overall support from every community member is overwhelming.
Highlighting some of Northern Michigan's hidden gems, we first take a look at the inland waterways of the Inland Lakes of Northern Michigan. Scattered with sandbars, wildlife, and sights only known to those able to travel by water, there is no shortage of exploration.
What makes these inland waterways so much more special is the ability to travel anywhere in the world right from your dock on Crooked Lake! Through many series of locks and channels, Crooked Lake feeds into Lake Huron which has direct access to the Saint Lawrence Seaway which feeds directly into the Atlantic Ocean.
With so many different opportunities to explore, travel, or anchor and relax, the inland waterways of Northern Michigan have something for everyone! Take the kids for a ride on the boat, have a picnic, then a sunset cruise. The best part of it all, you'll never have the same day on the lake twice.

What a great adventure. One that I don't ever think I will experience. Thank you for sharing. Up North is any place you want it to be. It's that feeling that comes over you that causes you to take a pause and heave a sigh of anticipation for the adventures that are in store.
