I will say this for those that do long distance trips from the east coast heading west...make sure to fill up often.. I know my bike gets about 170-200 miles on a tank before i gotta get gas from a full tank. Now that said I will say if you've done a tank lift to try and get air to help keep the engine cool I will say that when the bike tells you got less then 10miles it might go 5..Found out last year trying to push it to the next station like a dummy and ended up 3miles shy of the gas station so ended up having to call my dad to come out being wasn't sure where i was at exactly and wasn't sure if the gas station that was coming up was open or not being a lot of stations along I29, I80, and I90 have shutdown or aren't 24/7 stations. So after that I won't let it get below a quarter of a tank now when I'm riding long distances. Another thing riding during the winter time I do realize that 93 seems to be a bit weaker at times than just using 87 because not as many sport cars and bikes using 93 and I can get more miles at times depending on where I'm getting gas at if I just fill up with 87 instead of 91/93

Good points. Sadly many of my old stations along I80 are gone from when I lived there in my youth.

It sounds like you live not too far from my son. He lives in Gambrills and works for that three letter agency. I was there over Christmas and visited old glory HD.

LOL, yup. I drive past a few 3 letter agencies here. I drive through Gambrills every day almost. They have a great selection of stores there.

I live in the north east part of NY and ride 2009 ultra classic I personally start looking for a gas station when I get around quarter of a tank only because riding through the Adirondacks and the green MT's of Vermont fuel stations can be spread out pretty far apart riding the back roads

Most of the time when I get to 200 miles I will fill up. Low fuel light most of the time has not came on. 2018 Road Glide 107
