You always like to laugh at Luanne's pain. She's a train-wreck character. These episodes made her feel human, made you feel like her faith deserved to be rewarded, even just a little.

Both of us was big Dragon ball z fans, I dreamed I was going down my stairs for a glass of water and he was sitting on my couch. He was looking at all my DBZ figures and DVD collection, he laughed and said ''you don't know nothing abut DBZ like me''. I took him up on his challenge and showed him my full collection of figures and DVD's. We sat and laughed watching episodes and enjoying each other's company. I remember I had apple juice in the fridge witch is his favorite. James De Leon this was one of the best Luanne episodes of King of the Hill I’ve ever watched, it was sad, it was sweet, and it was the deepest and most emotionally human episode of Luanne’s main plot that really touched me while the trampoline sub plot of Hank’s friends being one dimensionally goofy morons over treating Buckley’s angel like a deity was just well... amusingly okay. But Luanne’s epiphany of quitting beauty school and going to community college in the end had a much special meaning to show me what it means to be human and to simply live ones life to the fullest in the best way we all have to do when we’re just living in a universe of never ending change.

Buckley wasn’t that good of a boyfriend back when he was still living. Still it was nice of him to come back to earth to help Luanne realize she could do something else with her life. Too bad the new writers didn’t know enough and lazily made her go back to beauty expert. She had a talent in mechanics and should have made her a mechanic. At the very least she got to marry a man who loves her dearly and made a happy family with him and their beautiful baby girl.

In this moment, it just gives Luanne the humanity she needs. Often she's seen as hot trailer trash... and there's reasons to feel that way. She comes from a broken home and lived a life of troubles, but retained that sense of blissful ignorance over the years. She's not the smartest cookie; but she's a passionate and oft bluntly honest person. Yet that bliss of hers can be taken for granted. She's a faithful woman who dearly wishes to do good, when all she's known was terrible people raising her prior to Hank and Peggy taking her in.
Buckley is one of those boyfriends who wasn't right for her. He's dim-witted, oft selfish and rude. His own ignorance and incompetence got himself killed when dealing with matters far beyond his knowledge. (The propane explosion at the mega-lo mart.) But he didn't deserve to die in such a way. Luanne didn't need to experience loss in such a painful way. At least here; Luanne gets to experience the direction she needed through the vision of Buckley. Whether he earned his halo and place in heaven; or Luanne's faith pointing her in a path of building her future.

Meaning that Buckley never knew her that well? Or he would know that because he had sex with her.

I don't think he was a hallucination. In the very, very end of the episode, he lingers for a little while after Luanne leaves. That wouldn't have happened if he were a hallucination.

Ew lol but at the end Buckley walked down the alley and took his halo out of his back pocket and put it on, he’s a real angel. Didn’t you read the patch on his vest? Hehe

When Buckley's angel mentioned Luanne's birth mark that made me think of something my friend once said to me. He told me they say that birthmarks are fatal wounds on your past lives when they passed.

  • @heidischultz6219

Guys complain about Buckley, but the dude acts like a typical late teens/early 20s guy. Especially if they're just working a job and living day to day. Very little gets them excited except for free food and new video games. They change as they older of course, but Buckley wasn't especially good or bad to Luanne. He was just typical for his age and lifestyle. Lucky was an older man with life experience by the time he met Luanne.

Preach, brother, preach the teachings of The Grungy Messiah for He has risen to teach people about being excellent to each other, Bill And Ted style. He is our Lord and Savior, for it is He who has given us all of our desires and dreams and He has his flaws like us, so He made everyone have flaws like Him cause we all have flaws. The Grungy Messiah loves His children all the same.
