This is so close to being a must buy for me. Just missing Whatsapp and Spotify. Nokia seem so close to making the perfect feature phone but nothing yet has ticked every box. Maybe next time.
3:08 Some of you may not find this interesting but it's a nice touch to play the Nokia Tune in the video. Some little things make so much impact on OG Nokia fans.
This phone caught my attention because of the built-in wireless earbuds but I'm a bit worried about battery life. The battery life is probably the main reason why they have to make this phone less "smart" because I would imagine the more features they add, the more it will consume system resources running in the background.
Those media player buttons really caught my attention besides the wireless earbuds, never expect that nokia will bring them back until i watch your video. They are my favorite features that I wish that modern day smartphone maker could implement then into their phones cause i love the idea how seamlessly i can play, skip, or rewind the songs, the way i did on my nokia 5300 back then.
As a user of basic phone, i'd definitely go for this. As a feature phone, I won't expect too much because if I want more then that's where my smartphone comes in.
totally agree this should've arrive with kaios . this thing with wifi and so much more would be a blast . wasted chance here: I really wish Nokia someday "dare" to bring a "dumb" phone with a full packet lets say a 3.5 inch screen or at least 2.8 like the N96 for instance , full of cool old Nokia features and a camera of at least 5MPX that would be amazing

For those who doesn't focus much on the social media and just want to live like in the 90s, this phone is a must. The wireless earbuds and few social media apps are simply a bonus.
I almost kinda like they're doing such similar throwbacks to their old phones, not just by name but a complete "vibe" I think everyone first remembers 5310 xpressmusic when sees that. But I don't see many people being so sentimental to get that phones, at least as a primary phone, but the good thing is that they're great price/performance, the value is unbeatable, love that it maintained build quality of old Nokias, built like a tank. With the popularity of gaming phones, I think they should go with a throwback of a Ngage, but with killer specs and maybe removable or some inovative feature of physical controls for gaming.. I think that's the branch where most of money is to be made
If it is an audio device should have a podccast / Audiobook / Music service (it doesnt need to be spotify to me) But honestly I am pretty tired of smartphones and having a simple device that can focus in audio would be great for my needs.
This one make sense, if you are out working out, or in environment like construction site were smartphones are vulnerable to dust and cracking. I love this concept.

I got this phone for my birthday this year (yes I asked for a dumb phone) and it is pretty nifty. I do wish it had hotspot and Spotify, but I like that it gave me the excuse to pull out my hard drive with all my hoarded MP3s on it again. It doesn't seem capable of keeping up with my fast typing and needs me to pull the battery out to unfreeze it sometimes but if I type slower this doesn't become an issue. I like this phone and it is keeping me off social media in situations where I don't need to rely on it and shouldn't.
Can't imagine why Nokia makes 0 QWERTY phones with this or the KaiOS platform, would they not have space in their lineup for at least one such model? Kids and elderly people do pretty well with such phones and we're stuck buying from the used market...
As someone who likes music and loves Nokia phones I'd definitely use this daily i like the easthetic of it being a music focused device I'd throw a 64GB just for music
I was waiting for this review. Thanx Abdullah. My trusty old (2011) Nokia X2-00 works fine but it's housing is giving away. I would definitely consider buying this. Does this support wirefree FM ?
Oh how i waited like crazy for someone to give a full review on this phone, and to my surprise, Mr. Nokia himself is the 1st to do so! Thank you! So this phone lacks of whatsapp and wireless function.. if it does, i'll say it the best feature phone there is.. but still, music is what this phone is pushing for. The black-red color does look awesome!
If it was running android so I could use the streaming music service I would buy it instantly because I love the idea and built in Wi-Fi support is a must if you are some where with bad connection and you could have access to free Wi-Fi
Nice. I'm considering this to have a nostalgia trip on my last (old) Nokia phone before moving on to smartphones, the Nokia X3-00. I really love that phone, but the DPAD got ruined maybe from usage over time, so I have to give that up. I think I missed it in the video, or maybe not mentioned. Does it have a 3.5mm jack, and maybe an option to connect other earbuds or bluetooth headsets aside from the pair that is included?
Unfortunately it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can connect any earbuds to it as it has Bluetooth, and you can also connect the built in earbuds to other phone s
I ordered this yesterday. I need my music and essential communication. I'm excited to ditch the "smart" stuff, apps, and subscriptions. I'm gonna love playing with my own music that I own in my new phone and classic Winamp. Thanks for the nice video.
If they are trying to make phone tailor-made for music-playing, a 3.5mm audio jack should probably be the first feature they should pay attention to. It's a luxury these days in the realm of smartphones. But if a phone is literally inheriting xpressmusic series, headphone jack is the bare minimum.
My Nokia 5710 XpressAudio has already arrived! Here's a short hands-on review: The thing I like the most about Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is the idea that you can buy TWS and the Phone as a package. As with the other Classic Series, the box is the same transparent top case with a carton box at the bottom which stores the earbuds, battery, manual, and wall charger. No USB cable. The Nokia S30+ OS is snappy as usual. The OS is almost the same as the Nokia 3310 3G variant except it is not Java-based so no sideloading of Java games/apps is possible. This phone somehow meets my audio needs throughout the day because it has dedicated music buttons for easier playback. Additionally, it has a built-in MP3 player and a wireless FM radio. It resembles the oversized 5310 released by HMD Global in 2020. The detachable wireless earbuds are housed under a sleek and robust slider on the back of the device, so while it's there it just charges. The earbuds are also compatible with any smartphone if you want to switch between devices. The feature phone is equipped with a 1450mAh battery that is said to deliver hours of talk and playback and lasts for days on standby. Let's see because I'm still draining the factory charge. It is powered by a Unisoc T107 chipset coupled with 48MB RAM and 128MB expandable storage via microSD up to 32GB. So, hello mp3. Haha. The device features environmental noise cancellation and VoLTE support to ensure my voice is evident in calls.
I have a question .. can you connect other bluetooth headphones to the Nokia 5710 instead of the earbuds? This is the only thing that is keeping me from buying it because i have to wear peltor headphones at work .. does it work with other headphones and also with the built in fm radio ? I would be so grateful if you could answer this 🙏🙏🙏
Abdulla, would you prefer the keypad of this phone over the one of the 8000 4G? (I know you probably prefer the 8210 but what if you have to choose between this 5710 and the 8000?)
You covered all the relevant points, especially the one about no support for Spotify. I was thinking of buying a "dumb phone" with a decent battery for gym or running.
This phone sounds like it's quite a good simple phone. It would probably be a better experience if this would have the Kaios operating system on it to get an app store with many different apps to use it more like a real smartphone. also Wifi and streaming services should be available on this device to make better use of the included earphone. I think that spending a little over €100 for a phone like that would be great.
I do think that HMD Nokia can pull a similar trick with their Android smartphone. They can make the earbuds port seamless at the back. Even with Snapdragon 480 5G and 4GB RAM, that should be more than enough. I have zero problem running Spotify from my mum's Samsung Galaxy J8 that only has Snapdragon 450 and 3GB RAM.
the first time I see this phone I knew I really want it.. because I love the idea of music phone and now revamp with a set of earbuds in the phone? i like that
can the earbuds play FM radio from this phone? they are advertising this phone to be having wireless fm, but does this mean wireless via speaker or wireless via earbuds?
The lack of Spotify, mobile hotspot and wifi connection is a no go for me. But if you like to listening to music the old fashioned way, then I can see the appeal
Man, I just wish Nokia became a little more brave and relaunched their glory day phones and modern them up. Not water them down like they do with their new feature phones. I'm talking about a Keypad-Phone running a modern Symbian OS, a substanital amount of RAM, a good music player with Playlists and all (think the Sony Walkman App), Internet Browsing, ability to install Java Games and sideload some apps like WhatsApp and Spotify, maybe UA-cam as well. I loved Nokia for who they were back then, but now...
It doesn't need to have a lot of smart phone options, but streaming services like Spotify and WiFi hotspot will make it a hot seller. Nokia shouldn't take a low sale number as a discouragement. People are used to smart phone and since it's a music device, people at least expect to have streaming services. Who download music anymore. People even listens to Podcasts more now as well.
There was a time when Nokia's feature phones had one of the best cameras with zeiss optics, now they just put a camera for the namesake, but I get it, market isn't as large for that kind of stuff now.
@@AbdullaZaki yeah they were pricier, I had the Nokia X2 00, it had only a 5 MP camera but with Carl Zeiss optics, and it produced some stunning shots, and it costed around $65. One of my favourite (feature) phones ever! Loved its design, software and cameras.
This is so close to being a must buy for me. Just missing Whatsapp and Spotify. Nokia seem so close to making the perfect feature phone but nothing yet has ticked every box. Maybe next time.
The new 5310 was a huge letdown for me. The plastic is very fragile and the screen is very scratch magnet. It died on me.

They do have ANC but you barely notice it. You can pair them with anything that has Bluetooth
can the earbuds play FM radio from this phone? they are advertising this phone to be having wireless fm, but does this mean wireless via speaker or wireless via earbuds?
The lack of Spotify, mobile hotspot and wifi connection is a no go for me. But if you like to listening to music the old fashioned way, then I can see the appeal
This phone is for classic people! I love it!
Small Question if you remember does this phone has a Countdown Timer and a Stopwatch ? ( They maybe in the extras menu if there is one )
Looking forward for the T10 cant really wait for it 😍😍
Man, I just wish Nokia became a little more brave and relaunched their glory day phones and modern them up.
I loved Nokia for who they were back then, but now...
which old nokia xpress music that have music button on right side?
Just bought it Yesterday :)
How are you finding it?
If this device got the hotspot I'll definitely buy it
Is it onetouch music keys? Or same as new 5310 s30+?
No spotify or other streaming service? That severely limits the potential of this device given that cool built in ear buds feature.
this is insanely cool
Would it cost more if Nokia opted for the KaiOS instead? Still a great device.
Probably would have cost more. But maybe they are moving away from kaios
So where do you get the musics from?
It doesn't need to have a lot of smart phone options, but streaming services like Spotify and WiFi hotspot will make it a hot seller. Nokia shouldn't take a low sale number as a discouragement. People are used to smart phone and since it's a music device, people at least expect to have streaming services. Who download music anymore. People even listens to Podcasts more now as well.
Waiting your review for 2660 💕
it is not the 5700 XpressMusic 'TWISTED' one. but I think it is O.K.
if it just had youtube music , spotify and Whatsapp ..... it would be a definite buy
There was a time when Nokia's feature phones had one of the best cameras with zeiss optics, now they just put a camera for the namesake, but I get it, market isn't as large for that kind of stuff now.
Also price. These are much cheaper than the nokias with zeiss optics of the past
Imagine if this one have some options for music apps that it could a mini ipod
This is quite a good idea .. A built in wireless earphone with a 6000mah slab phone in the future .. Nice ~ 😁😁😁
Can connect the buds to smartphones and other phones? Or only to this button phone?
at least they increased the capability of the battery, the old module is always 600 or 1100 mah, this new one is 1450, pretty good.
