Review of the Yakima Skybox Roofbox. The Skybox is a great addition to any car for long family road trips. It's easy to install and has so much space for large items. It's well built with durable materials. We use it so much we leave it on the car. It fits our Subaru Outback perfectly. It was purchased from REI.

Ha....I know a million other people said it, but the music almost comically too loud. Good review but music gave me quite a chuckle.
Camilo, what year is your skybox here in this video? I'm curious to know more about the scissor mechanism they used inside the box that opens and lowers the lid. I see on the newer ones they don't have that double scissor arm. What is your opinion or input? Thank you.
I bought my skybox in 2015 and it has been happily stowing my gear since then with no issues or damage. It lives outside on top of my poptop trailer when I'm not using it on my car. I haven't really looked at the new ones since mine has been flawless so I don't really have an opinion. I've been so happy with it that I bought the yakima Exo system for my campervan as well.
Can the mounts be fine adjusted? Meaning if my factory bars can't move further forward such that the box can clear the rear hatch.
They can move forward and back. I have had it for almost four years and it lives on my car in the winter and no issues.
Is there any way to make the music louder? It’s so great.

Great review! Have you tried putting carry-on size luggage into the Skybox and see how many you can fit inside?
We can fit a couple suitcases inside. It is a lifesaver on roadtrips.
I don't understand why the manufacturer wouldn't put this information up on their website. :) Besides campers, and ski trips, this is the single most important question to me - how many carry on's can you fit :D
