I was buying a revolution 1 and matching cab off a guy and he told me he had a Krankenstein 2 (which I was unaware they even made) and he told me he wouldn’t sell it, but a week later he changed his mind and texted me pictures of it and offered it to me before listing it! I’ve seen a couple expired reverb listings and one from a pawn shop in Montreal (which is where the one the guy I got mine off of came from)
Good luck, I hope you can find one! I just came across this one by chance, the guy originally said he wasn’t going to sell it but texted me back a few weeks later saying he would sell it to me! Krank already isn’t very common to find up here, it’s the only one I’ve ever seen from that era in person!
We’ll add it to the list! 🤘 We did a short video quickly comparing the three heads a while back, if you haven’t seen it already: Krank Amps Shootout! Krankenstein 2 vs. Krankenstein vs. Revolution 1 ua-cam.com/video/tbUzup1nGnY/v-deo.html
I see them every so often come up locally not a whole lot though, the same guy I bought this off sold me a revolution 1 and matching cab like a week before I bought the krankenstein 2 off him (wasn’t originally selling the 2 but later texted me) Sometimes they come up for steals too, a local music store had a 4x12 for $300 and I just saw an ad (too far to drive) for a 4x12 for $200! I paid $1000 Canadian for my Krankenstein 2 head last year, which I have no idea if it’s a good or bad price since I have no reference for it, haha. Krankenstein and revolution heads seem to sell up here for around 750-900ish.
Excellent response to the controls!
My impression is that anyone could find a tone they can love, given sufficient patience. Well worth the tweakage!
Definitely a wide range available, the added sweep control really seems to focus in on the mids and gives a lot of different options!
Where the hell do you get one of these? awesome video btw guys

It seems to dial in nicely. I initially thought it to be too brash,
Good video!
Yea luckily the eq actually does something on this amp, haha!
Cool amp. I’d love to get my hands on one.

I rarely see any Krankensteins for sale let alone a krankenstein 2! How much did you get it for? How long have you had it?

Was the overdrive pedal on only during the mix section? Thanks
