Donal Óg - an Irish Ballad

An acapella rendition (with my dog Runa in the background) of the beautiful Irish ballad, after the style of Al O'Donnell's 1978 version. This song is from Donegal, based on a translation of an 8th century Irish poem translated Lady Gregory and popularized again in 1976 by a performance of the Sands Family. It has also made its way to Scotland and is sung there too.
