Useful video Brandon! I agree with you on when your wallpaper should change, daily. This way you won't get tired of the photos you choose as quickly and in my opinion, if it's a custom wallpaper that you want to show off, you'll have more time to do so.
Ahh, sucks that they didn't give an option for you to leave the lock screen on one thing and then rotate / photo shuffle only on the home screen. That would have been my preference.
I mean it's cool that Apple finally added this as an official feature but I would've loved more customization like having different shaders and different text colors for every photo maybe even an app customizer

When we had the live wallpaper I could have it for a month 😅 I don’t grow tired of them that quick. I'm in the public beta and when I switch lock screens via different focus modes and come back to my daily photo rotating lock screen, it always resets to the first photo, so it never actually goes to the next daily option. I have 3 separate wallpapers set up and I’m trying to make it so it switches to certain ones at a certain time of day. 1 for night, 1 for after waking up, and 1 for the day.
You may be able to set up a shortcut to do this actually much easier. You could probably set it up to at that time of day, run an automation to select photos from an album to set the Lock Screen, but just have 3 different albums with only the one of each photo you want in each. Kinda weird, not sure if it would work how I’m thinking on my head but I’m sure there’s a way to do it with shortcuts.

My old shortcut for this won’t work any more. Set wallpaper action doesn’t do anything. I reported after beta 1 but they haven’t fixed it and I assume they won’t.

So I haven’t tested the new stuff yet as I’m afraid to change my wallpaper now if it won’t work once I swap it over..but since it’s a shortcut I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work. Worst case scenario is I wonder if you could setup multiple separate albums for more photos and have each lock screen point to a different folder. Maybe then there’s a shortcut that could be setup to run between those lock screens? Not sure yet.

I like this feature and the fact that Apple is adding more customization, but the fact that every crop or change that is made to one wallpaper is made to all is bs, because not every wallpaper is the same and some days you want a different vibe than other days. Hopefully we will see this changed in the future…maybe with IOS 27
