Doutzen, it was such a pleasure having you for the #DiorCouture Spring-Summer 2020 show. We hope you enjoyed going behind-the-scenes, including the atelier preview of #MariaGraziaChiuri’s enchanting goddess-themed creations!
😍😍😍 Shes not only a natural beauty Shes very clever, humble, eccentric and humanitarian The first time i saw her was when im 12 way back in 2005 I was mesmerized by her timeless beauty Now im 27 im still a huge fan of her Even shes super rich she remain down to earth and sweet I still have her old pictures and videos I love her fashion which i adore too Your a truly inspirational woman Much love from philippines Queen doutzen 😍😍
Doutzen you are literally the only blogger on youtube who makes me feel like i am with you in the room. You are very smart and funny and it is a pleasure to watch you. Keep going!!
I adore this type of video Doutzen; have you ever thought of adding a monthly segment to your channel where you interview famous people within the fashion world? I think they would coming knocking on your door to participate; you are such a natural at this and soooo enjoyable to watch.
Yes! That would be awesome. But I don't know if Karen will be down for it. She seems to be enjoying a private life away from the spotlight, like Yasmeen Ghauri, as she some what semi-retired from modeling. Last I heard of her was in 2015 modeling for Milady, and in 2016 attending PFW. I really like how Doutzen acknowledges her fellow Dutch models. Karen was one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels along Tyra Banks, Stephanie Seymour, Helena Christensen and Daniela Pestova. She was among the top 10 most in demand models during the supermodel era (late 80s to early 90s), and had one of the best walks, with an unmatched effortless sex appeal. She also was one of the pioneer Dutch models, and unquestionably the most successful, as she managed to find success both in commercial and high fashion modeling. While Marpessa Hennink was very present in much of the high fashion runway shows in the supermodel era (she was a favorite of Dolce & Gabbana especially with her tomboy/tough girl attitude strut), and Frederique van der Wal, Famke Janssen, and Yolanda van den Herik (Gigi Hadid's mother) were successful in commercial modeling, Karen managed to rival their success both in commercial and high fashion modeling. She was a rare beauty that could be that blue-eyed blonde bombshell Barbie doll with a voluptuous figure that represents the quintessential Victoria's Secret Angel (think of what Candice is today to Victoria's Secret), while also having the sophisticated and glamourous look of a Hollywood star of the classic era. Who knew that the 60th anniversary show of Christian Dior would be the last runway walk we would see of Karen and Linda Evangelista. I really hope these queens make a return to the runway, or even just any ad campaign or magazine cover or editorial. Even Christy Turlington made her come back last year, celebrating her 50th birthday. This year, Karen is turning 50, along with Naomi and Claudia, so hopefully we see more of them. By the way, people of Dutch descent seem to be one of the most beautiful creatures in the world. They produced beauties like Audrey Hepburn, Jane Fonda, Charlize Theron, Karen Mulder, Lara Stone, Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Rianne Ten Haken, Marloes Horst, Romee Strijd, Frederique van der Wal, Famke Janssen, Rebecca Romijn, Yolanda Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Luna Bijl, Bregje Heinen, Birgit Kos, among many more.
That would be great moment Dutch Supermodel interviewing Dutch fashion legend. With Karen she paved the way for Dutch blondes like Her Romee Strijd etc.
Truly appreciate the idea of combining fashion with feminism ! And I really love Doutzen’s causal outfits! Thank you for letting us know how this fascinating show came into being
I love how she's always giving us these new perspectives of things. It shows that she and her team really care about the things they're putting out here. ALWAYS looking forward to see more videos 🙏🏻
Dior is such an amazing brand! I really like the yellow dress you were wearing at the fittings🤩 and I also liked to see how haute couture is made. I enjoy watching your videos, Doutzen! Xoxo
What if the world had a more feminine perspective? Men and women caring for others, empathic, not focused on power...Will we see it? I hope so! Thanks, Doutzen, you are amazing.
comon men and women are always caring each other, it's feminist propaganda that makes women believe that they have been oppressed forever, all this propaganda BS!
I love how the camera pulled back and paired with her stunning outfit was a thick pair of clunky sneakers (trainers). It makes be feel so much better about my Nike and Adidas collection.
Very interesting, thank you for this. I was just wondering about what is Haute Couturier like from inside? And you answered on my question. Great to see so many wise-thinking people. I hope, the world will change for the better!
I don't think the head designer of DIOR is empowering woman with showing only slim models on the catwalk. I think famous or exposured people use charity or "empowerment" to lighting up their own image. I am not a Khardashian fan but what those girls are doing is much more woman curves empowerment, than the Paris, Milan and New York fashion scene togheter. Woman empowerment of making the movement is not an imagine but a neccesary journey.
Please do more interviews, Doutzen! As a journalist, I have to say you have a natural charisma and warmth and an ability to elicit information from the interviewee. It’s a natural skill! 👌🏼
When i see Doutzen, i say, if i start a family of my own, i’d love to raise my kids in Amsterdam or somewhere in Holland. Because the culture and mindset of the Dutch people, and the environment is the best to grow a child.
Well, let me tell you something about the south and east of the country. They vote highly conservative and harass refugees, they actually fight people who want our racist holiday tradition called Zwarte Piet (google it). Amsterdam is really expensive to live in (€1200 to rent a room) but it’s the only place that’s REALLY open & welcoming to everyone.
Eve lion thank you so much for your respond. Thinking through the pros&cons; Language would be a barrier for a particular time, as well:/ Nevertheless, Considering the social life standards Holland,Canada and Belgium look like the best places to live . You guys are really the coolest and nicest people I’ve ever seen! ❤️
I appreciate you emphasizing that sisterhood is ubiquitous! How you engage in environmental, social movements, linking fashion to coping with contemporary issues / phenomenona...wow, my highest respect!
Happy birthday to u doutzen ..🎂🎂🎂🎂 I have known you since 3 years when I was 17 , and you are My angel, My inspiration and whenever I feel low, seeing you, your videos or listening to your voice makes me feel refreshed and energetic ..you are so humble and iam inspired by your social activities like dance 4 life, knot on my planet and others Lots of love from India..😍😍😍😍
Its because we women don't think that we are Enough. Good enough, beautiful enough, smart enough etc.. silly thing is that we are enough, we can reproduce life - that in itself is extraordinary, we have phenomenal coping skills, we don't even realize how amazing we truly are. We as females are beautiful no matter what our colour or shape or size. There is only one of me now, and long after I am gone from this world there will never be another one of me. Each and every human being is unique, that is our greatest gift & asset. If every woman could look in the mirror and see the miracle that she is we would see a huge change in the world.
Been following your work for years but with the UA-cam channel I feel like you show a much more real side to yourself. An early happy birthday to you as well, we both share our birthdays tomorrow 😄. Lots of love Doutzen, so real and authentic ♥️
If you really want to help girls and women, start by using models of all sizes in the world of haute couture. A lot of young girls don't feel well about theirselves because the models on the catwalks are so gaunt.
I spotted her in the Vogue magazine around 2010. Was obsessed with her since then, now that I know her well than before I can see why I & everyone like her. She's naturally beautiful, humble, graceful and compassionate. Also sexy!!! I have one wish and that wish is to meet or at least see Doutzen in my life. Hope this amazing universe will grant my wish :) Namaste from Nepal
That yellow gown... If I had it I would live, breathe, sleep in it. It's been a while since my jaw dropped when looking at another woman twirling in such a gorgeous dress
I think one of the best video I've ever seen in UA-cam, seeing a successful woman being so down on earth is so 😲 the message of this video, in my opinion, is going to be the revolution of the new decade 🤗🤗 thank you Doutzen, I would like to see more videos like these 🌹
This has to be one of my FAVORITE video you have done! Is so refreshing and relaxed seeing you and most important so real!!! You really are an inspiration!! THANK YOU DOUTZEN!
This grateful attitude in life you seem to have is so inspiring!😍 Can you make a video about this mindset? I would love that. 🙌🙌 But first.. thank you for this video!
This is so inspiring thank you Doutzen for letting me enjoy your part of life! Your channel has made me think about my role in the society as a woman, a wife and maybe as a mom in the future.
I love how you give us an inside look in the fashion industry and how it all works backstage. It's really a whole different world that is not as glamorous as it seems. I hope you give us a story on modelling and how tough it can be.
I´m thanful that you are making videos and showing us your world. The fashion industry is changing because of everyone who is in, the models are more than objects (with your voices an your opinions about the industry all of them are changing the industry to the inside). The designers with their collections (they are making collections with a meaning, a message about the world, it´s their platform to speak and change things. I know Maria Grazia Chiuri receives a lot of smack for transforming Dior into Valentino (and trust me, this has nothing to do with her being a woman), but I do appreciate that Doutzen went about interviewing her and visiting the atelier to see how the craftsmen put a lot of work into bringing to life those designs. While I myself prefer Galliano (especially in his mid to late years in Dior) and even Bill Gaytten's designs for Dior (Gaytten is highly underrated and did an amazing run for one year at Dior), I will say that the detailing on that dress at 2:24 blew my mind.
I feel like the designer comes up with the ideas but the people who are making the pieces, like the dresses, should have all the credits. They are making the dress, not the designer. How much are they being payed? For example, just curious.
Maria Grazia was so smitten by Doutzen that she wanted to take Doutzen home and make love to her, which I would totally support, as two women making love to each other is one of the most beautiful things there are
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that Doutzen always edits her subtitles for those of us who are (almost) not able to hear
Yes. Totally agree!
Alysha 🙏
Yes!
She didn’t do it........ LOL UA-cam does
Doutzen, it was such a pleasure having you for the #DiorCouture Spring-Summer 2020 show. We hope you enjoyed going behind-the-scenes, including the atelier preview of #MariaGraziaChiuri’s enchanting goddess-themed creations!
Is your director definitely not a witch? A man must be courageous. The woman is feminine. What is the equality among themselves?
😍😍😍
Shes not only a natural beauty

Alissa M And she is a natural (interviewer)
I've been thinking that Doutzen looks like someone. She looks like a modern day Grace Kelly. Similiar features and of course grace.
omg yes! been thinking the same for a long time too
Me too when I saw some photos of Grace Kelly she totally resembles her
True
She is truly using her platform for the better good 🙏🏼bless her for being a good human, woman, and a role-model.
I adore this type of video Doutzen; have you ever thought of adding a monthly segment to your channel where you interview famous people within the fashion world? I think they would coming knocking on your door to participate; you are such a natural at this and soooo enjoyable to watch.
Doutzen please interview Karen Mulder on dutch: she's an amazing supermodel that doesn't get enough love nowadays!!please, please, please

I think the best part about the atelier is seeing the design on paper. love how you gave us a look behind the scenes
Wow! Who was designing for Dior before her? She is doing a beautiful job
Another beautiful, meaningful episode 😍
