4:05 That gave me an idea for a one shot. What if you have to parties of adventurers separately playing. Both are led to a BBEG. However, the BBEG is the other party. So they both meet on the last session and fight each other.

There was a based on a true story like that in an old Knights of the Dinner Table comic. One party successfully spread a rumor about the mythical Head of Vecna. It didn't go well for the group that bought into it

Reminds me of an idea a friend of mine had of having. 2 parties interact in a world one evil one good and only ever hearing about the actions of the other until they inevitably clash

I watched a guy use a horse to measure its horsepower he got about 19.
Horsepower is a measurement of the average expected work a horse can do in a day, needless to say that the horsepower at a specific moment is quite a bit higher.

The phrase "arrow to the knee" is basically just slang for anything happening that puts an end to your adventuring days. *Like getting married.*

Yeah, stealing a horse back then was a BIG deal. Your ride, ability to carry more, pull your plow, etc. That could be a person's entire livelihood right there. That's a high crime.
In my world, Harpy Feathers are a rare potion ingredient. Pretty expensive, but you would sell them to an alchemy shop, not a regular merchant. Also, no alchemy shop in town would have enough money to buy 62 pounds.
Just one feather is worth 30gp and weights 0.01 pound. So 62 pounds would be 186 000 gold.
Though it is specifically tail feathers that are used, so you don't get many from a single harpy. Especially if you down it with a fireball.

I have been a bit interested in adding one or more NPC adventuring parties that the PCs can interact with. They might be allies, friendly rivals, or bitter enemies. They can be of similar power to the PCs, having access to the same BS players use. They can serve as good foils, possibly embodying the essense of murder-hobos (who occasionally do good by killing bad guys for profit). They may also hunt down the party for their (real or fabricated) crimes.
And if the players are looking for sime rare spell or magic item, the bartender might point them to another adventuring party.
I did this third person situation by accident once. The players found an infected individual in a tavern. Got the guards to evacuate the customers and seal the perimeter. Then halfway through combat the website we were using to host froze and reloading wouldnt do anything, restarting would have taken an hour but we had 30 minutes left. I described what was going on from the guards perspective to fill out the remaining time and made note of their rewards for the next session. one of the players was really enjoying a third person perspective of the game considering it is always 1st or 2nd person.
In my setting, being an adventurer is like being in a rock band. Yeah, you could become rich and famous and have every woman in the kingdom want to mount you like a stallion, but most likely you'll end up poor, unknown and generally viewed as a threat to decency.
Though I don't know of many would-be rockstars that were eaten alive by giant rats.
I'm reminded of this time where a PC received a Death Curse after they bribed a guard so the BBEG of the arc would die a choking, painful death when they were hung. The next session, they were confronted with the city guard who brought forward a litany of crimes that they were accused of, which included breakung and entering, assault on a guard, kidnapping, arson, murder, cattle rustling and a slew of others.
They only realized something weird was going on when they reached cattle rustling.
"I am innocent... of a majority of those crimes..."
Yeah, I never let my players just guy bags of holding. Not from some random store, at least. Maybe from the local wizard, who makes some coin on the side selling it.
Also the six severed heads are to collect the bounties. I didn't think the ears were enough to identify them.
Ignore heads seven through twenty. That's for something else......

That start was exactly from my adventure. To be honest local fanatic prist was spreading rumors about the cult. The cult were kids drinking stolen wine from that old jerk on cementery. It was nice murderhobo test for party.

My friend once created a cannibal character that did their best to drag the rest of the party into their lifestyle, the one person that didn't join in the feasts was the party's cook that would roast the flesh for everyone else.
Hey, Arlentric, I got a video idea:
Have an adventuring party go around doing "good deeds" while being led by the nose by their secretly evil cleric who is actually an evil necromancer that was collecting ingrediants for making an army of bone and zombie dragons, make the reveal the BBEG fight they'll barely win, stopping their former cleric's plans only for them to immediately get surrounded by the local lord/king's army and when they try to surrender after learning that they're wanted because of the cleric framing them, tell them the army's leader takes out their wanted poster which reads: Wanted Dead; without the "alive part".
Actually, now that I think about it, this should be an actual scenario for D&D and not just a video...
Only one person killed in almost seven minutes. Frankly, you should be glad that's all.
