‘Mainstream’ is just a every day term for something normal or conventional, and on the far right it carries the connotation of being “fake“ and is largely left open to interpretation so that it can fit any mold it needs for a particular occasion. I don’t know what media you’re referring to. Since I watch and read a lot, mostly they are commenting on how humbled he is. He went to jail for a crime he and Trump both committed. I think he feels betrayed, and also feels stupid and guilty for ever believing in Trump in the first place. As he said in court “By then, he was so deep into the Trump cult”. Think about it. He was separated from his family for a year, while he was in jail for committing a crime Trump ordered him to do. Trump got off scott free, up until now. Cohen was supposed to get out during Covid with just an ankle monitor, instead they drove him to a different location and Trumps operatives tried to get him to sign an NDA, in order to get the ankle monitor put on, he declined and ended back in solitary confinement for another 6 months. That is pretty fricking Mob Boss of Trump. Trump should do at least triple the time Cohen did. But the truth is, he may do a lot more than that. Trump has a pretty long record.
