This is the most disrespectful video title ever. You’re talking Steve Davis here dude. 6 time snooker world champion. If you think that’s easy to do? TRY IT. Tell me who other than him, Ronnie and Hendry have these many world championships.
As far as snooker vs pool is concerned, Efren, the best pool player I believe wouldn’t even stand a chance against Davis in a snooker match but surely a Snooker player can give a serious competition to a Pool player in a Pool match. They both are equally difficult sports but that last sentence is a fact and a prolonged observation coming from someone who lived in a country that plays Snooker for 25 years and since 5 years living in USA where mostly Pool is played.

Yeah, Steve is a humble guy and has nothing but respect for Efren. The fact that he isn’t a pool player, has beaten Efren at pool (a feat that’s incredible in itself) and has proven himself a multiple time world champion snooker player give the tone/title of the video a disingenuous, even disrespectful feeling. Why knock Steve? @ the uploader, How would you view a game of snooker between the two, with laughter inserts, as Efren couldn’t build multiple century breaks? Would it would also be in bad taste, showing a lack of respect?

17:40 It's not like "believe", buddy, it's a fact. And the fact that snooker players can easily play pool and even beat many players and reach the finals of tournaments, while not a single pool player can beat anyone playing snooker, confirms this. It's very funny to watch how people praise this amateur Efren, supposedly he is the greatest billiards genius of all time. There is nothing “magical” about him. When I played pool, I also periodically managed to score balls like the ones he scores. So what? Am I a magician now? No, I'm just an amateur pub player. Just like him. He doesn't do anything special. With such a size of the table and pockets, you can simply hit it harder and the ball will eventually fly into one of the pockets from 15 cushions. This is not magic, this is the theory of probability. I'm not saying that I can beat Efren in pool, not even close, especially considering that I haven't played pool for a long time because it's too easy for me, but in pool I can easily clear the table with one break if there's a good position, and in snooker it’s great luck if I manage to pot three balls in a row. Pool is just much easier, that's all. The difference between me and Efren in pool is hundreds of times less than the difference between me and Steve in snooker. As one commentator correctly noted, if these two playing snooker, Efren would have lost 0-9.

I've watched snooker since I was a teenager in the 1970s, when it became popular with the 'Pot Black' TV show, which utilized a single frame (that's a rack, in pool terminology) format, making it more digestible for the home viewer. Speaking generally, John Pulman dominated snooker in the 1960s, Ray Reardon the 70s, Steve Davis started to make a name for himself in the late 70s before dominating the 80s, Stephen Hendry dominated the 90s, and I think it's fair to say that, although the world title has been spread around many players since 2000, Ronnie O'Sullivan has the numbers to show that he's the all time greatest. But I doubt that any of these guys could beat Efren at any version of pool. He's the King of the smaller size pool table, with more than 120 titles to his name. And he's one of my biggest sporting heroes. I suppose it helps that my wife was born in the Philippines !! :)

You see players like Steve, Jimmy, Judd, Ronnie play at a very high level in pool/9 ball but you will never see it the other way around. Just look at how Alison Fischer and how she is right up there in the nine ball/pool game with her snooker background. Honestly, trying not to offend anyone here, Efren or Strickland will not even rank top 20 in snooker at the height of their careers. I believe only one time I saw Reyes make a 50 break in snooker. These pool Legends will not beat any top 10 snooker player in even a best of 3.

You're saying the worlds best pool player ever, who dedicated his life to pool would not be good in a similar game (yes game) if he dedicated his life to that game? Please, be less delusional and make more sense. The type of people that are champions in their fields are champions for a reason, and not just because you say what you think you know. Nobody you named could touch Messi or Mbappé.. I mean there is a ball involved and a much bigger pocket right? The sports are similar now.

This top pool player is exceptional for certain but to try to belittle the snooker champion is hardly fair unless the pool champion could do equally well in snooker as the snooker player did in pool.
The very fact they do not try to play snooker in return is because it would likely be embarrassing.

No comparison between pool and snooker, snooker is sooo much harder to play, for a start the table is twice the size and the pockets half the size.
At 1.38 what how the ball comes off the cushion and still drops in, the margin for error is massive and the pockets are like buckets.
Try the same shot on a snooker table, you have to be millimetre perfect for the ball to drop, you will never see pool players competing at the top tier of snooker, they'd look second rate!
There is a reason davis at 44 was retired and Efren 47 was still playing, pool is an easier game, requiring a lot less concentration and not as much drive to practice for hours on end like with snooker.
