Congratulations 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲, but what kind of officiating was that? What happened at the start an why didn't they restart the race?
They probably thought it would've been a bad idea to restart, since the athletes had already run 80m and would be somewhat tired
@@iamanidiotbut9616 Yeah. There weren't enough Marshalls allocated to the race to stop those in lanes 6-8. They ended up having Guyana and Trinidad run by themselves and they got 2nd and 3rd based on time.
Jamaica with a great demonstration as always! Proud to see the rest of the Caribbean youth showing their talents. The future looks bright for them especially for Grenada and Guyana!
Speaking as a Guyanese grenada had the faster time in the heats than all of the other islands and they didnt put out all there effort like they would have in the finals and the officials that had to signal the error clearly wasnt doing there job and its unfair to the other islands that stop when they heard the second gunshot which signaled the fall start

Bahamian stopped first and the other team followed him...he started the race and suddenly stopped. Hence why call it back when nothing was wrong?

I remember that race the experience in the Bahamas was traumatic and shouldn't be allowed again.

What happened at the start with Grenada amd a few others, left confused? Anybody knows? That surely made a difference..
Gun fired twice, they assumed it was a false start and stopped, even the officials were confused because on the second lap there are still starting blocks and lane markers on the track.

@@papalevi1959 gun went off twice or 3 times and confused the runners. 4 of them stopped. Grenada stopped but because he saw the others still going he started to run again

‼️🇬🇾🇬🇾 Guyana excellent team Overall ‼️ In this race Guyana had a fantastic lead in the first leg🦵 . However I did notice that the runner in the second leg received the batton and started to run at the same time that the Jamaican runner was taking off . How is that possible, considering that Guyana had a considerable lead in the first leg. I hope the coach will MAGNIFY THIS obvious DELAY during the handing over ‼️🌎 I must say that Guyana has really upgraded it potential. We are proud of these athletes ‼️ The natural talent for speed is All over Guyana in abundance. But the Government never really gave sufficient support. Rather They focused more on cricket. Today With oil money and global 🌎 Social Media influence, there's more incentive and pressure for Guyanas 🇬🇾 government to Invest 💯% more . We will be monitoring the sports budget for Guyanese Athletic Training and the quality of training, as well as cultivating the a culture that encourages track and field. We will be following ‼️

Officials absolutely ruined this. Grenada, Bardados and Trinidad would have challenge Jamaica had the race been started fairly.
If Guyana couldn't do it with the better quartet, then those teams that you called out would have??? Of all the teams you called Trinidad was the only team that didn't cross the line in the same event, and even so, Jamaica had already won by a country mile stop talking with emotions, please.
Exactly Grenada would've gotten gold Jamaica got around a 50m lead due to the incident at the start and Grenada still got bronze. If the race was done fairly Grenada would've taken gold they got the fastest time entering the event also.

@@dougie0072 the first three teams, ran while the rest of the field stop due to some technical mishap. Hence why Bahamas & Trinidad dropped out of the race, it should have been recalled, all the other teams had to play catch up to the three times on the outter lanes. It was just a mess, the two teams who dropped out was allowed to run after and given positions according to time. SAD end to a great weekend but i do hope, this won't happen again.
They had the choice to start running again but stopped forr what reason ?

@JJN631 It doesn't matter. Jamaica didn't have their A team. They used a 800m, 1500m runner, and their Ocathlete. So definitely not their best team at the Carifta. They were chosen to qualify for the finals.

Need a rerun, i don't care who wins. Just need it to be fair. The first gun went off, then another 1 about 30 meters into the race, and then another...which is why about 4 teams stopped running. If you watch and listen to when they stopped you would hear the sounds
