Remember the movie called “Monsters vs Aliens”? What would an action packed version that uses live action versions of “Monster Musume”’s MON Squad vs a more extraterrestrial version of “Heaven’s Lost Property”’s Angeloids and, something I’ve coined, Demonoids look like? I suggest two stories to be told: World Building & then more Personal stories that are likely to occur & such…

1:09 As a long-time resident of northern Virginia, I was always miffed by how the invasion in "Independence Day" occurred over an empty Mall. The Washington, DC Mall on July 3rd is normally chock-full of tents thanks to the yearly Washington Folk Life Festival, which leads right up to the grandiose July 4th fireworks gala. An empty Mall is simply unrealistic, alas.
I would love to see a War of the Worlds movie that is true to the original book. In the book, the tripods are not as invulnerable as in the movies and can be taken down with some ease if the right troops have them targeted.
In the original novel the alien war machines were vulnerable to artillery fire and a torpedo ram (which were the most powerful weapons available at the time), but in the 1953 film the aliens can survive an atom bomb blast, because otherwise they would be defeated very quickly. Apparently, before he started filming George Pal asked a Pentagon representative how contemporary armed forces would do against the Martians from the novel. He was told in no uncertain terms it would be a Curb-Stomp Battle for humanity.
I thought this was a movie channel? or what you mentioned in the exosuit video changed throughout the time and I just didn't watch the video where that was mentioned? :p
While smaller in scale, one of the best planetary invasions/assaults in terms of on-screen tension and impact deserves a mention: In the rebooted BSG franchise, when the Battlestar Galactica jumps into the atmosphere of New Caprica, in free-fall during fire-fight, only out to jump out before impact, achieving complete surprise and leaving the counter-attack zero options. Now known as "The Adama Maneuver". Google it!
Best way to invade and take out the rebels on Hoth: My own ideas in opinion 1. Send a much larger fleet of ships in star destroyers + other smaller support vessels in specializations and advance fighters such as the tie defender elite = and completely surround the planet with backup smaller fleets all over the sector to prevent any rebel ships from escaping the blockade with interdictor ships all around in the dozen or more at a further distance in safety under guard from other ships to stop the enemy from going to lightspeed, just in case… while staying just outside of the planetary guns’ range. 2. As Vader: Always make sure beforehand that you’re working with the best of the best of imperial admirals + captains + commanders and officers for the operation = and make sure among all inspections before it starts of them that there are no ambitious + egotistical members among their ranks that might jeopardise the whole operation, deal with them and then replace them with a more obedient and less idiotic member who knows what to do in getting the job done to the letter instructed to them. 3. Send in several task groups in elite forces of imperial or clone commandos to go behind enemy lines down to the planet secretly to destroy the shield generator + sabotage the escape vessels if possible, then go onto another third operation afterwards if plausible to capture or terminate VIPs among the rebel leaders deep inside the base that could force the rebel base and maybe the whole rebellion to completely surrender sooner rather than later. 4. Once the shields are down = bombard the base from orbit with heavy artillery fire until the surrounding base area is completely destroyed with outside rebel forces being taken out with it all as well = in the case that they don’t surrender before-hand. 5. Once both the base and outside resistance forces and escape ships are destroyed = send in Vader along his veteran forces from the 501st legion, and capture or wipe out any survivors that remain on the planet… game over. It might not end the rebellion completely = but it will severely cripple it mostly beyond repair from there on in, and will make later rebellions much harder to form under the empire as it begins to recover from Yavin 4 = with the 2nd death star being completed and with other new fighters + ships and weapons being deployed by the empire as well. ✔🤞✌✨👍😉
I was going to contest that the Adama Maneuver should make the list, but since it was technically a “rescue mission” rather than an invasion, it would depend on the criteria for this list. Since it seems to be dependent upon the intent of invasion and conquest, it would be disqualified. Same would be true of the Battle of Scarif from Rogue One. That being said, perhaps the list should be about invasions rather than simply planetfalls.
Yes I forgot about the Stargate invasions, will have to watch that series again, but cutting it down to 5 !, that's not possible, every 2nd movie is about an alien invasion. The Riddick movie one is one of my favourites for not wasting time. Master chief, I have been obsessed with this series since the original XBOX games came out, they were good days that no virus would have been able interrupt, never heard him referred to as a petty officer ?, when did that happen ?, but another watchable video. But seriously, do at least the 50 invasion one, cheers.
Also got the Zeon invasion of Earth during the one year war. Sending in squads of 60ft tall mechs AFTER softening earth up following a Colony Drop, and a good week of engagement that resulted in the death of 50% of the human population... both on and off world.
I like Arrival's invasion where the aliens just decided to park their ships over lovely landscapes and chill there until humans come for meet and greet.
In the original "War of the Worlds", the tripods were _NOT_ invulnerable, with one going down to artillery, and two or three (the story leaves in uncertain) to _HMS Thunderchild_ .
Zerg invasion of Korhal, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Or, what about one where the bad guys won? The siege of Shakuras by the forces of Amon, Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void. Culminated in one of the best cinematics of the series.

Then when the Iron Warriors needed to figure out where the citadel's minefields were and the range of its guns, they simply dressed up the survivors of the spaceport as their own, gave them fake guns, and sent them home. That was day 2.
First Tyrannic War. Enough said.
I suggest two stories to be told: World Building & then more Personal stories that are likely to occur & such…
They’re references for different titles, Loli4lyf. Actually, much like how the board game Battleship was turned into a movie, I’d like to turn the board game Risk into a movie/franchise…
I liked the short visuality of the Chronicles of Riddic planetary invasion
Great video, we need a part 2. There are a lot more cool planetary invasions you can check out.
Good to see you looking well, Allen.
I know a one that isn't here
The Gamilas invasion of Alteria
*Just destroys and eliminate an entire civilization*
What if Sera from Gears of War is just a lost human world in the 40K universe?
Love this Channel!! No Alien Lovers like Avatar!
Humanity number 1 Baby!!!
“Captain Titus has balls of adamantium…”yes, yes he does!
Google it!
So will there be a second part to this given you said there were 10?
What about the invasions of Helghan and Vekta from the Killzone series?
Best way to invade and take out the rebels on Hoth: My own ideas in opinion
✔🤞✌✨👍😉
the codex astartes cautions against the action titus took because it is high risk to those perfoming it. but with high risk can come high reward!
9:30 Why isn’t WOW Goliath in this example?
Good video
Was the escape from New Caprica in Battlestar Galactica count as a planetary invasion? or rescue?
I was going to contest that the Adama Maneuver should make the list, but since it was technically a “rescue mission” rather than an invasion, it would depend on the criteria for this list. Since it seems to be dependent upon the intent of invasion and conquest, it would be disqualified. Same would be true of the Battle of Scarif from Rogue One. That being said, perhaps the list should be about invasions rather than simply planetfalls.
40k’s Decent of the Angels, “Steel Rain” deployments, :(
What is with Starcraft 2 Kerigans invasion on Human Homeworld?
I was hoping the battle of Reach would've been on here
Really think the Seven Hour War needs a shoutout here.
@0:54 you said Top 10 but listed only 5.. bad math?
Also got the Zeon invasion of Earth during the one year war. Sending in squads of 60ft tall mechs AFTER softening earth up following a Colony Drop, and a good week of engagement that resulted in the death of 50% of the human population... both on and off world.
i can only imagine a true 40k open world game in the image of games like conan exiles or even a destiny2. that would be utterly amazing
Iron rain
Coral invasion from old mans war was my favourite.
I like Arrival's invasion where the aliens just decided to park their ships over lovely landscapes and chill there until humans come for meet and greet.
0:52 "top 10"
Title "top 5"
Me: *visible confusion*
Exactly...and ends with "5". I'm temporarily believing it's part one of two but perhaps it's a simple mistake
albert also apparently this is generation tech now
In the original "War of the Worlds", the tripods were _NOT_ invulnerable, with one going down to artillery, and two or three (the story leaves in uncertain) to _HMS Thunderchild_ .
Scubatrooper is just a fun word. :)
Chronicles of Riddick and Oblivion have the best planetary invasions.
Zerg invasion of Korhal, Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm
Or, what about one where the bad guys won?
The siege of Shakuras by the forces of Amon, Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void. Culminated in one of the best cinematics of the series.
No Reapers from ME3?? That was some epic stuff right there.
What about Reach and Earth?
For the record I like the Gungans, also I believe they were the natives to Naboo before the humans showed up.
How about the Invasion of Naboo, the Battle of Malacore V and the Republic Invasion of Mandalore in Season 7 of the clone Wars?
alan what did you expected??
those martians were using our body fluids to fill their pods like pools, that was an everything-you-can-infect buffet for the bacteria
