I've got just enough of both finishes to coat 1 more rifle. I've got a Savage 110 30-06 that needs a good coat of paint as well. I figure I'll CeraKote the .308 and DuraBlue the 30-06. I'm actually going to put the Vortex Diamondback from the .308 on the other rifle when I get done painting them.
I load Varget or 4064 and Accu Bond 125 gr... Pretty impressed with the results I got .. I stay away from Hornady like a Plague Mounts and rings are important to allow for bolt operation. Some have had trouble , therefore a higher ring or mount is needed . Try looking at a RITON SCOPE Jay I was impressed . But all up to you.
Thanks for sharing 👍 That rifle has been through a ton of changes since this video. It wound up being an unofficial mascot for several product reviews. Some of which we haven't even got the videos out for yet. We have tried numerous different configurations with it in bullets ranging from 150-180gr. As it sets with the factory barrel, it really doesn't do well with bullets over 150gr. Also the thin profile of the factory barrel makes for really slow range sessions.
Thanks for the update and keep shooting my friend.
Thanks for watching Keith!
Adora blue that rifle I've never been a fan of cerakote finishes thanks for the video j

That rifle will look nice when it is all done! I know vortex is less money than a leupold for just as good quality but personally I am a leupold man.
I love Leupold too brother!
What is the one back behind you on the wall?
Who knows? Something Elmer is "working"on..
For glass, look at Primary arms.
I've got a couple ACSS scopes on AR's!
