@@MysticFL1-Bethyou would need to switch the hdmi inputs via the cable. They can’t both feed through at the same time like that into a capture card.
I don't like the price tag, but I was already looking at a $140 HDMI splitter to passthrough 4k120hz on top of a $120 EVGA XR1 PRO anyway. So... Maybe this is worth it for simplicity.

I'm an Elgato fanboy, but I may have to get this instead of waiting for the 4k X and 4k Pro. I asked on the Elgato subreddit when we could expect them to drop and they were pretty tight-lipped. They did, however, say that Santa won't be bringing them this year, but to stay tuned. I just got a 4k144 monitor last week and want to take full advantage of what my Xbox Series X is capable of, and patience is not my strong suit 😂😭🙃

You don’t need a capture card for a single PC setup. Just record your gaming window in OBS

If I want to purely use this as an HDMI in for my consoles, do I need to plug in a monitor on the HDMI out or will the software preview mode work (with audio) I am happy with the 70ms delay as I use remoteplay with over 100ms delay.

What's your videing editing software that you use? If you dont mind me asking, im using capcut. it's free, but it's not workingg well for me
I use Final Cut Pro 10, this editor is not free though.
So i got the capture card and the only problem i have is that rec central does not detect the card. I went thru a lot of settings and updates, but still doesn't detect the card.

How is the audio while you're live on twitch with this avermedia 4k? I have the avermedia 4k30 (the previous model i think) and there is an audio delay. The longer it's used the longer the delay becomes for certain things in game. However I never had this issue with elgath hd 60. Can you inform me on this?
You can control the delay within whatever software you are using.

You need a stream key for that. But you could try the app TikTok studio which is like their version of OBS

TikTok stream key comes from TikTok support, you have to contract them to get it. They don’t always reply is the unfortunate thing. It’s pretty locked down. That’s why I recommend trying TikTok studio www.tiktok.com/studio/download

Yes, I've seen at time they do. Not sure if that will be the case for brand new capture cards though. But the ones that are a year old sure.

I would get this one in the video. In other will have you capped at 120 in 2K
Beware if you buy this thing... The usb c to usb c cable it comes with is only 3 feet long... The 8k HDMI cable is also only maybe 5 feet. Even more you need to spend on top of the $300 unless you have a VERY compact set up.

@@marcgil256 Be careful with the quality. I got one that seems to work at a 6 foot, but apparently these extreme speed cables can't exist at longer lengths (10+) without losing speed, which could render them useless.
hey midnight, what’s the difference between the resolution and fps when going to the capture card’s properties vs the resolution and fps on settings > video?
One resolution is what your passing from the console to the capture card. The other is the resolution you record in

It’s personal preference tbh, it’s what you like the most. Most people usually go for more frames when gaming from my experience

Hello, do you know if having this capture card will solve problem with obs stutter. I just have one pc and 4k tv with 120hz and vrr but my games runs at 90-100fps so when i record video on obs it makes video stuttering because of out of sync frames, but when i cap my games to 60fps I don't have video stutter anymore... I heard its VRR problem with obs...I want smooth video and want to play on more than 60fps but my videos to be 60 fps What should i do? How you manage to record 120 fps games without stutter? It sounds like this could be a VRR problem for sure. This capture card DOES support VRR which alleviates the screen tearing and stutters. For non VRR cards I just playing in either a solid 60 or 120 refresh rate.

HDCP not disabled? Passing unsupported resolution and refresh rate? Unplug/replug/restart OBS, reactive source in OBS? Using slow cables or dongles? Can be many things

You can do 4k60 without HDR, or with HDR at 30
