Counter Punishing One SWGOH: Could This Answer the Executor Mirror AND Leviathan Dagger?!?

    I'd love your assistance in figuring out how to win the Exec mirror when going 2nd. I get what you're saying about a higher relic Cad, but that just pushes the can down the road, as eventually everyone will do that. (My fleet shard chat is working this together.) Also, mine is R7 and it doesn't seem close to surviving against R5 at least. I have tested with Boba start instead of Cad. Reasoning is that the initial breach on enemy Cad from P1 means that enemy Cad deals less damage on assist from Boba unique. He does survive opening volley, and sometimes I win, but it is not consistent yet. The flip side is this start makes it harder to kill enemy Cad when going first... and when I left it on "defense" I fell fast, so it must not hold well against the more popular lineup. I also think we're dealing with bugs because whatever lineup I do, enemy P1 starts in stealth and mine does not. *shrug*

    Hey DL. Just started testing the on both my accounts. R5 Cad Bane with 6 dot mods seems too squishy, but it might just need some dialing in. Got 4 wins with the Executrix counter. Like Sean said below “Take the mods off TIE pilot” it will suck for GAC if you use TP in the DTMG team. Also good 2 wins with an Executrix comp where Scythe didn’t have the unique maxed, so there were only 3 starting ships.

    That is wgy CG's Tie Dorito (A ship not even Sith but First Order one) """solution""" sounded like a FAIL right from the get go! If CG wants to keep Levi protected from P1 then either buff the Levitank or the Flagship. But we all know CG keeps failing with this as well...FIX your game, CG! Nice content. Keep it up! ☺

    have to admit, a lil confoozling with the terms on some of the ships...but i recognized which ones you meant (i.e. calling malgus ship marauder even tho marauder is the pilot of the bomber)

    For the opening play against the tie fighter, it’s still bugged where the empire ships have normal dodge stats. P1s kit is supposed to be like -200% evasion. Which doesn’t work. They’re really only supposed to dodge when they have Foresight.
    When they fix it the Executrix will be a little better.

    If they have TiE Dagger, use Chimera counter with tie defender as 1st reinforcement, very easy.

      Sure, but the issue in GAC is being able to beat both a Dorito Leviathan and also a P1 Executor, so if using the Chimera on Levi, then the Executor Mirror also needs to be solved. :)

    Starting lineup Vs Leviathan: XB, RC, and PO. Keep targeting Sith Fighter and kill first. Bring in Slave I as first reinforcement and use Seismic Charge. Game over.

      The Sith Fighter lineup is easy, it's when the Tie Dagger is in the starting lineup that (per CG) defeats Punishing One. This is all about the Dagger (Dorito) lineup. :)

    I lose most of the time with a 7 star PO line up vs leviathan with the sith fighter line up when they reinforce with the emperor's shuttle first. My executor is r9, XB r8, RC r8, and dengar R7 all 6 dot mods. So far I am disappointed in the PO vs leviathan which I guess is their intention. I used to beat the leviathans with the IG line up (mine is r9). Anyway not sure what is going on and testing it in the arena but the Emperor shuttle reinforcement just screws everything up due to the healing.

    I wonder if killing the bomber so fast simply keeps them from applying enough debuffs to sabotage the hangars.

      Yes, it is this. :-) When you can reliably bring in reinforcements, you just escalate and win. The Interceptor having 50 stacks and instakilling a ship is also a negative, because then it's just sitting with 10 stacks and you can kill it easily before it does anything, even though it kills a ship it's better for us...weird stuff LOL.

      @@darthloquitur1913 true. The instakill may do more harm than good in many cases. It can be a pain to take down with many stacks, but it does you a favor by nearly killing itself.
      I also wonder how well the mirror holds up going second. Relic 5 is way too squishy to survive the mass assist, but does R8 XB still just die shortly after anyway, if it even survives.

      @@TehKarmalizer For the example in the video that inspired me to work on it, the XB did die, but it took the mass assist, then also the Razor Crest attack/assist that normally would have gone into a different ship, and that seemed to make a really big difference. Over next few days, I'll surely get some footage of them going first, maybe it's a disaster, but again I'm intending to use this on the lower star P1 fleets, so I think (maybe) they will lack the damage to punch through the R8...hoping. :)

    any advice for starting HT RC p1 lineup vs trip attacker RC XB p1? esp at lower stars (my exec just reached 6 star)

      I’ve tried lots, starting HT vs the triple attackers is super hard and probably won’t work.

      @@FooDude2011 so what does work then...at the moment i dont see how any less than 7 star execs can beat that trip attacker lineup especially since the defending team always has the stealth on p1 to start

      @@JeremyBrown-l5d exactly. It has to be a mirror match tie and you win the coin toss. There’s a couple good RNG runs where you can still pull it off even if you go second. But survivability for the whole fleet is key. You gotta do more damage than them.

      So far, my experience matches these other comments. It really is an "arms race" situation, without R9 Piett and a 7 star ship, the opponents will always be able to escalate to that point, and if you go second you will (mostly) lose. I've been able to win with the high relic Cad Bane / XB even going second, as the XB will sometimes live for a few extra actions and that can turn the tide. But...mostly you just have to at least have the coin-flip to try to go first because if you do, you just win.

    Shouldn't the P1 be causing the tie fighter to be at 0% dodge since it removed 200% evade from tie fighters? I wonder if that is not working? Or did the fleet you fight somehow break that condition? It shouldn't dodge at all so it would die every time.

      That's a really good point, it does specifically say that enemy tie fighters lose "evasion". I thought for a minute that maybe it takes away dodge (physical damage) but leaves evasion (special damage) but in that slo-mo clip there's both Dodge and Deflection triggered. I went back and looked, the fleet I fought definitely had skills on the P1.
      I guess it's a bug? Probably will get fixed and then my Tie will die like it's supposed to LOL!

      @@darthloquitur1913 Its either that. Or because of the condition of all allies must be bounty hunters.. could they have had a non-BH in the last slot of reinforcements? Or does that not effect the condition? I am not sure if all allies must be BH means including reinforcements or not...

      I appreciate the comment, it's valid, I didn't test that way. I did just go in and remove his mods it only reduced health from 94K to 89.7K. I think the issue is more around the dodges than the last sliver of heath, several of those the tie still has like 20% health. I still don't think this makes it as "reliable" as I'd like (works fine against 6 and 7 star P1, they do enough damage to get the kill, so maybe modless makes it OK also for 5* P1?) Anyway, thanks for the comment, I'll test over next few days.
