If they were gonna fight why not a complex fight that really explored both characters' insecurities and motivations and have them argue in a civilized way and actually learn from their fight and make their friendship even stronger. This cover had more detph than all their "conversations" 😭😭😭
I’d like to believe these two didn’t completely despise each other, but rather had love/hate relationship. Their characters, despite all of their shortcomings, had some kind of special bond. To be fair, Rachel had literally been working toward this since she was a child. She *always* had direction and a goal she was striving for. Whereas, Santana spent a lot of time floating around, not really working toward anything. It took her a long time to figure out what she wanted to do and longer to pursue it. Which is why she wasn’t getting all the same opportunities. It wasn’t a lack of talent or drive. Santana just hadn’t honed her craft enough or paid all her dues yet. With time and consistency, it would have happened for her too.

I like most of their songs together, I think their voices complement one another in a beautiful way. But, for me, it was a pain to see what Santana did to Rachel: she never wanted those things for herself but then, she saw Rachel getting the opportunities and had a jealousy crisis. It almost ruined the season for me, but the songs saved it in the end.
Lea is beautiful do not get me wrong. However she doesn’t pull that hairdo off very well. Some can pull it off she can’t. I’m use to her long lushness hair though.
