- I had my doubts when buying another Bandai America Stranger Things Void Series figure after being disappointed with Hopper, but the Demogorgon redeems the line for me. Mostly.

Haha, okay, I GET IT! THERE WAS A DEMOGORGON IN FORTNITE. Some of y'all act like you've never heard me say "I don't know anything about Fortnite" about 500 times on this channel. Winky face, tongue face, winky face, kissy face.

My biggest gripe with these Bandai figs aside from the joints is the total lack of accessories. Like a closed face alternate head or some demo eggs would have been nice. The Eddie figure not coming with a guitar just feels criminal.
These figs apart from Vecna and the Demogorgon are laughably atrocious. Awful paint job, total lack of detail in sculpt, dogshit articulation and zero accessories. And pricing them at $32!
When Robo showed the peg-holes at 1:19, all I could think was "happy feet!"
The demogorgon is most definitely already in Fortnite I remember being shot by it when I tried the game out for like the 3rd or 4th time.
It was but they took it out. I know because I lost my skin.

Also a great base body for monster customizers. I could see myself using this for a werewolf or Wendigo custom.
I was thinking with a little elbow grease it could make a good absolute Carnage.

@@brianng8350 aside from Neca’s American Werewolf figure yeah not much. Some smaller indie companies have them. But I don’t know why they’re not more common.
@brianng8350 there is veteran williams from maestro union. The ultimate warewolf fig to date.
@@bricarts4786 Yeah, 1 year later there is a decent werewolf figure. There wasn't any real good ones up to a year ago, which why these people were looking at using this for a custom werewolf.
i would say that black series is more or less perfect 1/12 scale, generally speaking, sometimes they're a bit smaller, sometimes a bit bigger but it's always very close

The Eddie figure is really great compared to the hopper and especially with the prime day deal going on right now! He's $20 instead of $30

$32 for a basic figure with zero accessories, shit articulation, terrible likeness to the actual actor, etc!!!

In case you were wondering at any point, Robo, that ''dog joint'' is called a stifle joint. This fig lookins great, despite some of the oddities like the joint colour and wash. May grab one to repaint it.
One of the things we forget as collectors is the patent office. A lot weird joints might be the results of companies using mechanical designs they have already licensed or patented themselves. Even if another method would be better, they always go the cheaper and or easier route.
I’m glad you like it, it’s a fun figure but I ended up returning mine. Hoping to revisit it in a month or two.
At 3:35 if you look at the foot it looks like baby Groot’s face 😂
I'm kinda waiting for this to hit clearance, but I'm very tempted. I did see online that somebody drilled a new peg hole in the head, so he can look straight up. Looked like it worked well!

I'm sure someone has commented about it already but I can say that I picked up the Mcfarlane Demogorgan a while back and it is awesome. I only wish they had gotten around to doing a giant disgusting Mind Flayer for S3.
When it comes to monstrous or larger designs, I'm cool with the scale being a bit weird exactly because they're meant to be weird/big. If I can find a place for something in a display I have, it doesn't matter if it's like 1/9 scale or something, as long as it looks good terrorising or being punched by my other figures :)

The funny thing is that the denogorgon is actually a skin in fortnite you can run around as, just like mancake and beefboss
It’d look great with Spawn figures. Might even be a good base for a custom classic skinny Violator.
The height being 10 inches is actually accurate considering how the demogorgan is 6-10 feet
So you're saying 10 inches is the high side of the 6-10 feet.

I might just have to get this for my "I don't collect that shelf" with Beef Boss, that weird four armed McFarland thing, a McFarland armored dude with horns on his helmet, some robot? from Tiger and Bunny?, this upright walking frog/salamander (I don't even know where I got it) and customs that don't really represent existing IP

The demogorgan is actual in fortnite. It came out 2 years ago so it fits perfectly.
3:13 and 9:15 are what convince to me to pick it up when it inevitably goes on clearance, as it ought to go well as a *_robeast_* for at least one of my voltron figures.

Can you fix Hopper's joints with polyurethane? I have the same problem with a figure and want to know if it's worth buying some for this sort of thing.
First, bendie figures would have been great. Second, I too wonder about the torso. I figured mine was tight or paint was holding it. Thought about heating it up to see if that helped but worried it wasn't meant to move and that would break it
Dammit I guess I’m getting this. All the over engineering in the feet could have gone towards more torso articulation though. I like the older McFarlane one but the joints were pretty ugly, this is better.
The weird creature that stalks shelves, displays and other toylines is the Hopper figure 🤣
You should get the Eddie figure. I wonder if they upgraded him too.

I can see a bit of Monsterarts in this guy, mostly the joints....and the "gaps". Still good on Bandi for making it somewhat affordable.

I like this figure for what it is, but wished it had either an alternate head or moving jaw. Mine has issues standing and have to brace him against a box.

Robo, I popped the upper torso apart, and yeah. It's just a big empty square peg. It's glued all the way around. They didn't design it to function. Bummer!

I really want this figure, but I'm waiting for maybe a price drop. I hate from what ive seen it's not in stores. All the other figures are but I have yet to see a demogorgon.

The only real issue I have with this figure is the ab-crunch, head articulation and lack of alternate head, although I could somehow make a custom closed-petal head

You can get him on all fours. Also the japanese magazine scan shows the japanese version comes with an alternate head
Yeah, I know you can get it on all fours, but you can't get it to look up properly in that position. And I'm not familiar with the overseas version.
@@TheFwoosh I think it's the same thing but just comes with an extra head or two. like the p bandai hopper is the same as the domestic one but it came with a hat and sledgehammer or pickaxe or shovel and was like $60
Oh and if you don't want to pay for a Groot figure . This will be a great blank .
I've recently caught covid and ever since it has been one prolonged play day. I never thought I'd enjoy customizing so much so thanks for the inspiration.

@@TheFwoosh I made an outfit for black series deluxe Cal Kestus but since I couldn't go outside and buy the material I had to use whatever I could find. That being: A movie ticket for his suit, some tissue paper for his cape and a covid testing set for his weapons. I also made him a tiny covid mask. For some reason it turned out surprisingly well and I just decided to leave it unpainted. I'm currently trying to find a covid-Star Wars wordplay for his name.
I'm just upset it doesn't have a closed head. Like, it already costs $40, there's no reason it shouldn't have had another small chunk of plastic.

It's strange how we've had two companies tackle Stranger Things figures so far and both have made oversized Demogorgons compared to the human characters in their line, both this and McFarlane. Still I'm glad to hear its an improvement over Hopper, that gives me hope for that recently revealed Vecna, that one looks tempting.

@@teamflow9975 Are you sure? At the end of season 1 when it's up against the wall and Eleven is standing right there, or the end of the new season when Hopper fights it it didn't seem as big as this figure scales, it looks like its a bit more than 9 feet. I could be wrong though.

I just got this guy and was disappointed cause Amazon sent it loose in a bag. I ended up getting a refund and got to keep him so for a free figure he’s great. Wouldn’t have been happy for 32 bucks though. Mines right arm is so tight it pops out before moving. And the pelvis piece on mine came undone.

Joints litle problem but its a monster and in series he making sounds like this
Bandi America has got to pickup their game the sculpt is there but all the joint hiding and quality articulation is lost.
That’s been an issue of theirs since they got the MMPR license.
