Thanks... Means alot.... One of our main goals is to bring the trade the attention it deserves.... If we don't at least try then I'm just letting it die...I'm releasing another one on Sunday..stay tuned...here's another one I liked when I first discovered this style of metal work ua-cam.com/video/4Kierdkx2nc/v-deo.html
You, young man, are very talented. Great job, never seen this before, but it looks water tight to me. Thank you for posting this video. Keep up the great job.
What gauge of metal do you think that roof was? How much back and forth banging can you do before you put a rip in the metal from over bending? Is it the fact that it's many small movements that this is possible without jeopardizing the roof?
Good observations! This is prenpainted 26g Steel... it's the least forgiving out of any metal I've used...in other words you get it the first time or else it will start to crack/tear....
Still under construction... Hang tight... In the meantime this is a mini course of a double fold chimney flashing detail ua-cam.com/play/PLwTrgRLtRjZGD9uYKN_vTammbECqbER8q.html
No it would have to travel through multiple layers of metal to even infiltrate The system and then even then it would have to travel uphill past the height of the seam as well and then at the last ditch effort get underneath the underlayment we also put sealant inside the seams as well
You guys do some excellent work. Ive never seen this side of the trade. What a lost art man

Looks nice and water tight , but also a lot of work :-)
It's more work to have to fix when it leaks in 2 years when the caulking fails
in between seams do you pour something like silicon ?
yes
Great job as always!
Thanks for being such a great supporter of the channel!

Thank-you you might like this one then ua-cam.com/video/4Kierdkx2nc/v-deo.html if you haven't seen it already
Do you knock down the seam along the entire chimney flashing or do you just knock it down at each end?
I knock down the seam between each rib of the standing seam so water can escape
So the
Double fold keeps water out when the seem in banged over flat , I feel like it could still get in

What do you do if it’s the snap lock system?
Would you tie it in same way? Because that is way better than any z strip and tape system
Snap lock not for low slope
You can use they flashings along side snap lock but wouldn't use snap lock on anything less than 5/12
🙌
