60K! March to 100K continues! Rise Against is awesome. Prayer of the Refugee is a good starting point. The Good Left Undone, Ready to Fall would also be good choices. I'm also gonna suggest Soundgarden - Outshined. Cornell's vocal performance in that will give you chills. Also, the riffs.
Every songs lyrics are written by tim mcilrath (lead singer) and they all have great meaning. Very versatile voice. hero of war (acoustic), make it stop (deep meaning) state of the union (screaming), like the angel, prayer of the refugee, heaven knows, behind closed doors. all amazing songs. just sit down and listen to all their albums. oldest first. newer stuff isnt quite the same.
I listened to the album front to back the day it came out. And went to see them on tour when they were promoting it. Nothing really stood out. Bullshit had some energy and I’ll have to listen to violence again. But it was a let down. I mostly listen to the first 4-5 albums.
Glad you liked this man! First time viewer and new subscriber! I think you'll really like Make it Stop by By Rise Against (It's about bullying). This is literally the only band that can make me emotional and cry with their music and lyrics. Keep at it bro!
Vandyno I said THIS TYPE OF SOUND, speaking about this specific song, not the group as a whole.. this song is the 90s style sound just like the offspring...
Vandyno it doesn't have to be from the 90s to have a 90s sound , IT'S A SOUND... a song made today could have a 90s sound... it's not that difficult to understand.. that specific sound and style CAME FROM THE 90S
Rise Against has quite a few good songs, besides savior these are some of their best in my opinion. -audience of one -the good left undone -give it all
KTF just ran into your channel and nice video. Bro, I'm reading the comments and I haven't seen anyone mention "People Live Here" its pretty dam meaningful man give it a shot even if you don't make a review online. Best wishes bro, keep making content!
This is so amazing honestly. This was my brothers favorite band. He died last year in June so this is bringing back many sad memories, happy ones too. I just saw them live in Philly and this band honestly just has a very special place in my heart. They have been one of my favorites for years.. and they are amazing live
Once he really got into it, he barely paused it and you can see in his face, he's really paying attention and feeling the song and the lyrics. Mad respect for this and it's awesome to see someone not only expand their musical horizon but to also feel what their listening too. Awesome video, keep killing it my man!
I'm so glad you read my comment asking you to do some Rise Against! You're gonna love them. They're pretty old, and their new stuff isn't that great and neither is their very first stuff. It's the middle spot that has all the gold in it. Siren Song of the Counter Culture and The Sufferer and The WItness are their best albums for sure.
Watching you react to this song reminds me how I friggin’ love and sometimes forget about it. It’s the little things man, and I love how you point it all out and appreciate all of it. Keep up the awesome reacts!
Rise Against has been my fave band for 5 years. This was the first song of there's I heard and instantly fell in love. They have gotten me through so many tough times it's impossible to put it to words
I'm actually still coming down from the 10,000 days songs haha so I gotta recommend >Perfect Circle - Judith< it's same singer from Tool just different band (he's in like feckin' 3 bands). Anyways It's somewhat a prelude to those songs where his mother is actually still alive and his frustration just blows through the song. You know, emotional rollercoaster and all.
Saw them live at The Pageant in St Louis in 2015, when they were on their Black Market tour. What an amazing show, and when they closed with this, everyone was singing as loud as they could, myself included.
Capra Behind Closed Doors is good but I would suggest others before that when it comes to Rise Against. Parkway Drive if we were going with the new album I would say Wishing Wells, In Blood, or I Hope You Rot... Also idk this guy but metal is one of those things he just probably won't like, as most people hate it lol
Ahhh man. You're venturing into the punk end of the rock spectrum. And before you purists start the keyboard lashings, yes I know they're not technically punk. You know what I'm talking about tho. Anyway Pres, love your content and that you're expanding your musical horizons. Gotta request tho. AFI - Days of the Phoenix (or anything from that album..). If you liked Rise Against, you'll love AFI.
GAHHHHHH!!!! I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw that you reacted to this song. Rise Against is one of my favorite bands!! Hahaha when you said that how the music chilled and then Tim came in gave you goosebumps I legit yelled at my laptop "I know!! I know!!" I had them too. And I don't know if you're in Chicago or from there (cause you wear that Chicago beanie), but Rise Against is from Chicago ;) THey're such an amazing band. Okay I have to stop myself haha Have fun enjoying these guys :D
Rise Against are the gods of Pop/Punk/Rock. You’d be surprised how much good they do as well, man. They raise awareness for domestic abuse, teen suicide, mental illnesses, depression, and bullying, and well as disaster relief. “Make it Stop - September’s Children” by Rise Against got me through some tough ones back in high school tbh.
You should listen to The Offspring if you like this. I would suggest "have you ever." They have sooooo many awesome songs but for some reason I think that one is a good match for this one...
Dope reaction man! Love how you replay these type of songs! Put a smile on my face, keep it up! Similar song but in my opinion better is Sometimes youre the hammer sometimes youre the nail - A day to remember! That one gives me chills everytime man. Appreaciate you!
@@famanjetta11 Rumors is my favorite song too along with Paper Wings! I think Rumors is the best song Rise Against has ever written. It's just perfection both instrumental- and lyrical-wise. So powerful.
Michael O'Donnell A sarcastic song about a breakup? A gigantic “fuck you” in the pretense of, “I hope you find someone else, it was nice while it lasted.”? Sounds pretty punk to me, even if it’s acoustic.
Fun fact. Tim (the singer) didn't want to include this song on the album at first. Over the recording process it grew on him enough to include it. Now it is easily in the top 3 of their songs that fans love. Definitely listen to more of them. You can't go wrong.
It's refreshing to see someone react to early 2000s music. React channels are usually cancer because they react to "haha so random" videos. Good to see SOMEONE has some taste. Keep up the good work, man.
First time poster and long time Rise Against fan. I love that you are exploring their body of music and no you haven't heard his best, you have several albums to go! BTW, I recommend that you watch the video they released and or the interview about the song. Long story short, Savior is about "forgiveness"... not necessarily in the context of any specific relationship or transgression, but more forgiveness among the entire human family.
Hey man. Thank you for being the first dude to get around to Rise Against. Check out their song "The Great Die-off" with lyrics if you can. That's RA at their realest. If you like them, PLEASE be the first guy to jump onto checking out their tourmates. A band from Pittsburgh called anti-flag. Their song "fabled world" will change your perspective on so much stuff. Anti flag has been at it even longer than RA, but they both deserve more reaction/review love.
I didn't see anyone mention this but "house on fire" is another amazing song by Rise Against its music video is really well done and goes so well with the song.
This is actually their standard sound over the years. But their true strength is their poetic lyrical content, and how much emotion it forces out. My favorite band for the past 5 and a half years.
Hey man, massive Rise Against fan here and love this reaction. You could tell that you appreciated them and you really absorbed the music and lyrics. Rise Against - PRAYER OF THE REFUGEE!
Rise is underrated af
Also "Help is on the way" It's about People stranded in Hurricane Katrina. It's powerfully emotional.
That's a really good one only two songs I like from them is that song and this one
Make It stop (September's Children) is also powerfully emotional, as with a lot of their songs xD
In my opinion people live here is
Both excellent songs, but really everything Rise Against has done is fucking great

Daniel L totally agree my man! Totally. Thing is this band is flawless coming from a 52 yr old metal head. Lol
I am from Chicago, so that is how i 1st heard of Rise Against, but they are very good for sure!--right now I am actually listening to Chevelle
One of their best songs. Such an underrated band. Good choice, bruh.
Ok. I'm gonna start pushing for a Chevelle reaction. Such a great band and highly underrated.
C'MON! ANY CHEVELLE FANS HERE?

Taylor Post yeah it’s definitely not as good as the others.
Miracle is probably my favorite song off that album. To me it sounds like a song that belongs in an anime.
black market cmon
More punk rock reaction!!!!
Yeah man.
What I love about this is that he isn't picky.
Some Against Me would be cool. Especially Walking is still honest or Pints of Guinness make you stronger

Rise Against - Paper Wings

One of my favorites by them.
🎶 Give me the drug, keep me alive, give what’s left of my life. Don’t let me gooooo woah woooah 🎶
Sufferer and the Witness in general is one of the best albums ever imo

If you like this type of late 90s sound you would like Offspring "self esteem" or gotta get away
2008 is not 1998 nice try :D
The Offspring is far from rise against... I do like Self Esteem, but it's much lower than anything Rise Against in my opinion...
Vandyno I said THIS TYPE OF SOUND, speaking about this specific song, not the group as a whole.. this song is the 90s style sound just like the offspring...
The Loose Moose Song isn't even from the 90's lmao, it's from the late 2000's I think
