This is the very reason that I reject everything except the Quran as a religious authority for guidance. This shows the motivation for people fabricating the hadiths. No wonder Allah subhanahu wataala says in the Quran that one day the messenger will say that his people have abandoned the Quran. The vast majority of Muslims claim that they believe that the Quran is the word of Allah. However, they really don't. They don't even seek guidance from the Quran. They seek everything and everyone except the Quran for guidance. It is evident these days that most Muslims treat the Quran as a forsaken book.
Without the hadith and sirah, you have zero context for the Quran. The Quran provides no details about Muhammad and next to nothing about all of your rituals. The Quran was in fact written before Muhammad supposedly received his prophetic call in 610. The Birmingham Quran manuscript is dated to 605, and it is not first draft. Its advanced nature, with diacritical marks, verse separators, and the modern ordering of surahs is a paradox to any scholar. This is because they are trying to fit it into the standard narrative of Muhammad, which is entirely fictional.
They go hand in hand. The Hadith expound the Quran. As it is Muhammad saw is the one explaining it. For example, Allah orders to beat your wife if she takes away the right of the husband. The question is can you beat your wife to the point of death, or emotional beat her to the point she breaks down, or disfigured her? Or interpret that verse as you will. This is the in extent you have to go in order to reject the Hadiths.@@hassanabdur-rahman1559
Thank you Sheik, for me the word in the Quran is fixed no doubt, no mistake. Quran is the word of Allah, one true God. come to us in mutawatir and we can see no changing of the letters in many many written manuscript (the latest in Uni Birmingham). But the meaning and interpretation wil always changing by the times as our world today also changing. Military equipment may only horse and sword at the time of Muhammad but now we have drones and tanks. the problems when we "canonised" book of hadiths collected and written centuries after our prophet died
I attentively listened Dr shabir Ally. I would like to add that there is nothing worth abrogation in Quran. All the verses are Allah's words and intact as vouchsafed to prophet Muhammad pubh. The people who object are mistaught by experts so called of Quran. Quran presents the principles for primary stage till last stage of advanced society. We, human need to see at what stage the particular ayat will be implied. When it asks humans to discard the practice of slavery in prehistory of Arab, it doesn't mean that this ayat is no more needed as slavery has gone but people of same mindsets exists even in this era and needs to be taken care of from that angle. Each and every ayat of Quran is equally worth implementable and considering.
An alternative approach could be to develop a new 'Catechism of Islam' cf 'Catechism of the Catholic Church' (Second Edition) (Liberia Editrice Vatican, 2000). This 904 pages of authoritative document is freely available on the internet. An old Muslim Catechism was started in London in the 1950's and never got updated despite advancement in scholarship. Surah 20/114 is relevant which says 'O my Lord! advance me In knowledge'. Perhaps a challenge for our Dawah gurus?

There are entire disciplines, mechanisms and principles that are used to decide the authticity of the ahadith...you cant just do that blindly by just getting up and start deciding straightforward that some are authentic while others are not...
If you’ve read the Quran there’s no way you could legitimise this hadiith nonsense. Use your brain, if you wanted to change the message of the Quran what would you do? This session was very much feels like incomplete or immature description of conceptual problems. Every objection that has been raised can be solved by a verse of Quran which simply give a general principle that is what you have been doing from your birth to untill now can be wrong yet you won't be held responsible if truth didn't reached you. One will only be held responsible if they reject the truth just because of arrogance, greed and or fame. So one might know a verse to be the Quran which later abrogated, there is nothing wrong for that person to believe an abrogated verse to be part of the Quran, the only thing can be wrong here is to reject the abrogation after truth has been revealed to one about the abrogation of the verse.
Dr. saheb Shabir Ali: I have heard your debates with Christian scholars and I was very impressed with it. You always defended that Quran has not been charged and no addition or deduction has been made and Allah SWT as promised in Quran has kept it and will keep it unchanged . This is one of the miracles of Quran and we are proud that we follow a book that has not been changed like Bible. Now you are changing your tune and mentioning weak and fake ahadith that Surah Ahzab was longer first and has become shorter now. Also you mentioned a fake hadith about a verse that could have been in Quran but now it has been deleted( shaykh and shaykha doing Zina). I beg you that stick with your previous beliefs and don’t confuse yourself and others . Please don’t give ammunition to those who debated you saying that you were wrong at that time now you are telling the truth. Your clips about abrogation was very disappointing because you mentioned so many weak ahadith that should not be mentioned and should be removed from Ahadith books. Hope you delete those clips and redo them based on Quran and correct / sahih ahadith. Hazmat Ali R said that the only difference between his written Quran and the Quran collection of Osman R was that in his copy Surah adduha and Nashrah were combined and Surah Quraish and Feel were combined. Therefore, his copy had 112 surahs which does not make any difference. Nothing was added or deducted. Abn Abas R thought Qunoot Duaa was part of the Quran. We read it every night at witre wajib anyways.

@@peterhwang1860the Quran doesn't need hadiths to explain it.

Perhaps a challenge for our Dawah gurus?
i know this abrogation thing is really problematic...
There is no abrogation sir.

Are all Bukhari Haduths Authentic? If then What are the proves?
Plz discuss this topic, it is the most important topic wich need to be discussed
There are entire disciplines, mechanisms and principles that are used to decide the authticity of the ahadith...you cant just do that blindly by just getting up and start deciding straightforward that some are authentic while others are not...
@@goodlife4321 there’s no way in hell you can do any of that to what is literally hearsay!
Not a single hadiith would be permissible in court!
If you’ve read the Quran there’s no way you could legitimise this hadiith nonsense.

Changing the Quran is impossible so creating and associating your own nonsense is precisely what you would do.

@@TheQuranExplainsItself I agree with you
Most of the Hadiths are Fabricated
They were fabricated by rulers to rule people with religious fear
But some of the Hadiths are true
Our prophet must have left some words for us to guide us, we need to know them
But how can we know which one is authentic or not, we are totally helpless here
My question is, Is there really any way to call a Hadith authentic
If not, then what should we do?
Following only the Quran? Will God forgive us then?

God guides not prophets.
The reason we don’t have the claim of abrogation from the prophet is simply because he never ordered Quran to be written
The Theory of Abrogation is a very complicated one and takes many years of scholarly study to understand the fundamentals. I think a decent attempt was made here to simplify it for the layman by Dr Shabir, so he should be given credit for that.

I admire the courage and passion of this man and his daughter. The worst thing you can do to any child is tell the child to memorize a book written or inspired by God-Any book! It's impedes the child's critical thinking when it comes to that book. Thankfully, the internet is allowing Muslims to critically reexamine the many contradictions of their holy book. Unfortunately, the smarter you are, the more easily you will be able to come up with arguments to defend the Quran, until it starts to cause pain and anxiety enough to overcome the fear of Hell and Allah.

White-black in term of skin colour in many context is relative measurement imho. Only in modern days (by western standard) somehow white means a specific race (caucasian). If thats what confuse you. My 2 cents

Yeah ok noted. But you know, as far as i know islamic values and traditions doesn't care too much about this topic (person's or prophet's race+skin colour things). It does on the family lineages (more to arab tradition imho), so it's kind of bit odd you bring this topic. But it's interesting..please cmiiw
