Have bought grips from Ebay (which weren't genuine Golf Pride). Have changed them after 2 full seasons of golf, and plenty of range sessions. Still plenty of life left in them, only changed my grips because i fancied a change. For circa £50-£60 for the lot. it's money well spent in my book.
I fitted these MCC+4 grips last January (paid £38ish), playing 2-3 times per week on average and if you include range sessions a tad more than that. They've easily lasted the season, and there's probably at least another 6+ months life left in them. I'll order another set soon for when I feel these need renewed.
Loving this sort of series of videos, would be good to maybe do a quick test of the new grips versus a new real one both dry and damp (spray them) on a sim and see if there is any difference from the start, then do an update every 3 months.
I bought a SuperStroke Fatboy putter grip from Temu and if someone can tell the difference from a genuine one then hats off to them. Superb quality for the price. Even if i have to replace in a year then im still quids-in
I think for durability, get at least 20 rounds in. I could have grips on my clubs for 2 months and not use them, not see wear. I think rounds played would be better metric, can figure in practice, too.
Good to watch that, I was gonna order one off those Scotty Cameron putter grips but was told not to download the temu app, not sure why. But for putter grips and accessories like you've been buying, looks to be a good deal. Be good to see how you's get on with the iron grips.
Great content, I am very curious if some of these items on aliexpress are in fact real authentic items due to the fact that most items are manufactured over seas. I took a look and some items really do look exactly the same and just don't have the brand stamped on them. Maybe some of these are in fact the real deal and don't have the large mark up of house hold names. Would be awesome if you guys cut a grip in half and compare to real thing. Keep up awesome work guys.
I recently got 13 multi compund align grips off temu for £23.....cost me £36 to get them fitted and they feel absolutely fantastic!! So im £59 in and getting them fitted at local range id be £195??? They are rubber at end of your golf club even if i change them ever season itd take nearly 4 season for same price....and real grips only lasted me a season and a half??? No brainer tbh
What I have discovered, is they do actually supply genuine products as well as fake! A brand sent me a product to test, and they gave me discount codes for Amazon and ALIEXPRESS. I couldn’t believe it, I thought everything they sold was fake!
The grips I play retail for about £6-£10 depending on the time of year and whether or not they're on sale. I can't bring myself to buy anything golf related from anywhere other than an authorized dealer or directly from my coach.
I bet I can regrip all your clubs in your bag with temu or ali express grips and you would shoot the same or maybe even better. I can't tell the difference and my club face can't either.
cool sounds great have to say your videos now are the talk of my golf club with the range finders and cheap grips. I know 3 people that did the deal on Amazon you setup for the rage finder and I am loving mine @@garymartingolf
The grey grip is an immitation mcc +4 . The red one looks like an immititation mcc grip. The +4s are non tapered...the others are tapered. I also think the +4s only come in blue and grey . I think you are not comparing like for like..
They’re both an imitation of a MCC +4. If it looks tapered, that’s because is poorer quality. I’m guessing you work for ALI EXPRESS and you don’t like a unbiased reviewed 😆.
It might be possible those grips are labeled the same size but through the Golf Pride official site the MCC +4 grips are available in four different sizes undersize, standard, midsize, and Jumbo.
@@EstevesFL I appreciate that, but the size is etched into the butt of the grip, so you can’t mistake the size. The ali express ones are just more undersize (stamped standard). It wasn’t just the size, these we’re definitely two different qualities of impersonated grips.
@@petekenny3774the people who buy real ones (scratch golfers) are already ordering them in from China for themselves and their mates thinking they’re real! All it is Pete, go pros are scared they might lose a few grip sales, but I think this series will have the reverse effect, because the grips don’t match the quality of real, we’ve already fitted some and faults have been exposed which will convince keen golfer they don’t compare, and even I wouldn’t use them and cut costs after what I’ve seen, and the person who’s looking to cut costs (who’d never spend £15 a grip) will have a honest review of the fake grips, which in my conclusion, I’ll will share a better alternative to the fake golf pride, which is as good of quality as the real GP at a fraction of the cost.
I would agree on a personal note. I think the fitting of the grips exposes a lot about the product and might make people think twice. We’ll atleast now they know they’re fake, cos temu and ALIEXPRESS don’t make that clear. So many people are adamant they’re real!

Same same, they are fantastic, as are my Putter grips...... 20% of the price I could pay here in NZ.
Another great Temu/Ali express video Gaz and I’m looking forward to seeing how long the grips last, I would say review after 3 months

Excellent content again! I got a swag driver headcover from ali and the quality is awesome. Cant wait for your fitting with Sam 👍
Fine show lads, i say a ongoing monthly review would cool , take a snap each month then line them up, keep them coming mate.

Excellent video gaz. Where did you get the personalised driver cover?
I had them made by PRG Golf. You had to order a minimum of 60 though 😅

Is there an updated video to show how they’ve lasted?
Great series here Gaz! Keep up the great work!

I wish I’d thought of that idea, cutting one in half! Great idea!

Anything with the name Ali has me walking. I try to buy genuine however hard to tell sometimes.

I have done well with Karma grips bought off Amazon,I heard they are made by Lamkin.
I’ve seen them, I were very impressed!

Like to see you compare the grips to the real grip particularly the super strokes

Proper yorkshire tea that full of flavour
Would you fit the fakes if someone came to you knowing they were fake? Great content Gaz
As each platform has multiple sellers then doesn’t that make this comparison pointless buddy?

Makes sense, thanks for fast response@@garymartingolf
Thanks for making everyone aware of fakes within the golf industry and the suppliers, however is it time to stop the publicity?
Not at all, we’re going to fit the grips and expose how bad / good they’re first. Thanks for your concern, in relation to your own interests.
I think mike Gaz is trying to show you us the shite that's out their and if you want it buy it
