    As someone who works for one of the major banks in the GTA, thanks for warning people about these rental scams. I mean in general I would caution people to think twice before you send an e-transfer, I would suggest only sending e-transfers to people you know and trust if possible. Unfortunately, the banks cannot do much to retrieve funds that have already been deposited via e-transfer. So just be careful guys!

    Law enforcement officials should be held more accountable if they are responsible to uphold laws for its citizens, they should get prison, 50% of pensions withheld, and criminal record.

    Police officers caught stealing drugs: Compassion yes but he also has more resources then most of the general public. He could have used them to help with his addiction. This is why there should be some consequences. He is a trained professional that should have know better.

  • @NeishaNineStarz
    @NeishaNineStarz 3 роки тому +2

    The fact that the drugs were seized means someone was arrested for possession of it to begin with. The evidence locker shouldn’t be a personal pharmacy for his addiction issue. As an officer there are resources that he could’ve accessed legally. There’s advocacy around addiction but the law is still the law and members of law enforcement should uphold that. He should face some punitive measure.

    Addiction is a serious problem but I am 100% sure if it was a civilian who had messed with the evidence of an ongoing investigation -- they would not be afforded that same luxury that police officers do.

    The homeless video broke my heart, yet the city fined that man who was building shelter for the homeless. Yeah, there are drug and mental health issues, but these people are mothers, fathers and siblings. Toronto needs to research what cities like Zurich, Amsterdam, etc., are doing to help this problem. When I visit those cities, they have homelessness, but they work to help solve the problem.

  • @BajanBoo

    I would of taken his pension away as a form of punishment since he never got charged.

  • @Justsayingthat
    @Justsayingthat 3 роки тому +1

    So if I admit to a crime, I won't have to go to jail? This man should know better than the general population. Plus he stole it from the police.

  • @Brave-828
    @Brave-828 3 роки тому

    About the homeless people story, Toronto has one of the best government funded facilities for the homeless population in the world. Homeless shelters are clean, safe, and there are social workers available to attend to the “clients” as they are called. Because of the pandemic, social distancing measures have been effected which has meant close to 250% increase in homeless people facilities. So, when you see them on the streets, it’s because they have chosen to be there. As someone who’s worked with the homeless, I can tell you that many of these folks are rude, entitled, ungrateful, and sometimes violent. Blame it on the drugs, mental illness, and good old bad manners

    I am wondering if it was a regular person that did what that Detective did would they receive the same "compassion". Or if it was a person of colour would they be given the same treatment? I think not. With showing "compassion" to this Detective it leads the door wide open for other bad cops to do the same thing as they know they will get away with it.

    oh that homeless gentleman, call up his sisters he speaks of. having family members who have addiction issues is beyond complex .he probably wasn't just forced out. it takes a lot. look to homeless youth they're stories are beyond tragic, homeless because of sexual orientation, cultural clashes, dysfunctional parents who fuction like teenagers. homelessness is a function of capitalism, minimum wage with no additional support is hard to manage , couple that with rising children. access to knowledge is key to financial freedom.

    John tory there is no housing. Even people who are not even homeless are having issues finding some where to live. If money was the issue they could have invested in the mini shelters this young man was building (see article linked below). It's just shows the lack of humanity for our misfortunate brothers and sisters.

    employment law protects persons from getting punished if they have an addiction. it was a clear abuse of power , he's not innocent , he a part of the thin blue line he will always have their protection. especially because he was on the homicide unit. good out weighs the bad. aka you still have your pension. he's laughing
