Totally dope music and visions! Soul Providers reworked two of my favorite late 70s r&b / disco grooves. The first one coming from Idris Muhammad "Could Heaven Ever Be Like This" ( original source of sample ) and the joint after the interview - The KayGees straight out of Jersey City, NJ and "Tango Hustle" ( original source of sample ). Side note: The KayGees were brothers and associates of Kool & The Gang. The original joints were on point and groovin', and the soulful house regrooves courtesy of Soul Providers were totally slammin' and a refreshing re-take of the originals !
wow. . .what country is this? i wish i'd known of this show before!!! i'm really enjoying this as i have gone to the original Club Zanzibar (in Newark NJ where i'm born and raised) and also the original Club Shelter and Body & Soul. I so wish i'd known!!!!
+skfj67 well when they said the years this was going down it reminded me why i did'nt know of this . . . . . . . .I WAS OUT JAMMIN AT THE CLUBS LOL!!!!!!!!!! and buying records too. But still i wish i had known.
The DJs are there merely for decoration. The track is being played over the speaker system and they have no control over that. Technically, the singer is pretty much decoration too because she's probably lip-syncing.
