You asked what we might like to see. I would love to see 2 or 3 sets of how to make extra things. Building buildings is fine and I can do that but how about how to make stairs and landings, 4x4 and 6x6 and roof rafters and columns, air ducks for roofs. gutters and downspouts. The extra things that go on or with a building. Had some really bad card stock and cardboard models until I came across your video's. Mine my not be as good as yours but sure a lot better then what I was making. Thank you and I look forward to more new video's

Hi Fred, many thanks for watching the videos and sharing your comments! The uncanny part, you've been reading my mind... and that's a strange place to visit! LOL. All the topics you mentioned I've been working with, developing my own twist to stretch my skill sets for modeling with CardStock. So, due to your inspiration, today I will record a new video highlighting all these topics and more. This will start a new series of short "how to's" on each of the various items. Again, many thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! All the best, Sam

I learned a trick for HO corrugated steel from MarklinOfSweeden. You have to start with one sheet of scale corrugated plastic and make a mold for your appropriate size of corrugated steel. You then add a thick coat of Elmer's glue and wait for it to dry. After that you just peel off the Elmer's glue layer and presto, you have a sheet of corrugated steel to paint as you would the plastic sheet. Buying individual sheets of corrugated plastic sheets gets expensive. Thanks for the link to the squeezer as now I've got to drop $10.00 for the squeezer as I'm beginning to model in O scale for my Lionel 027 and plan to construct an 027 layout in the near future. I'm gonna start on the Silver City Tool Shed model in the next week or so, and will have to get the squeezer so I can add the relief to the corrugated steel. Just wish they made a finer one for HO scale. Thanks for all your tips and tricks as I really enjoy watching your videos and am learning a lot about card stock modeling. It takes some talent to turn a flat piece of card stock into a 3D building. Cheers from eastern TN

Nice! I actually own a similar tool that I purchased several years ago specifically to corrugate some card stock. I was building a model of the Saturn-V rocket from scratch and the skin is corrugated, a trick the engineers used to add strength to the metal skin. The effort paid dividends. It looked so very real with the corrugated relief of the skin. What I had to do was run some card stock thru the crimper and then flatten it so I could measure the actual distance from crimp to crimp. I had to do that because on the actual rocket, the corrugations alternate color from white to black. Once I had that data I went back to my cad program and created the skin in strips with the colors properly alternating and then after printing, ran it thru the crimper. It really gave a depth of realism that I'd never seen before on a cardstock model. I've only used it for that one project so now you've inspired me, I'm going to have to dig it out of the tool kit and give it a go again. I think I'll get that free model you pointed out and use it to reintroduce myself to corrugated cardstock. Nice episode! Thanks.
