Here is my best method for dip removal. After buffing off top coatl: 1) rub Vaseline around nails 2) soak small piece of cotton with acetone and place on each nail 3) wrap tightly with foil 4) place hands in EMPTY ziploc bag 5) place hand in bag into bowl of hot water and soak for 5 minutes. This reduces amount of acetone needed, is super fast and isn't so harsh on hands and nails.

Thank you so much for sharing I just started doing them and like them but definitely have learned a lot watching tutorials on the proper way of having them look I like the fact that I’ve had them on already for a little over a week and they’re not chipped except for one lol but definitely taking my time next time and buffing them so that I’d have a smoother nail after the application of the I guess basecoat I’m not too sure but anywayVery informative I’m going to try the soaking method by putting the bag with the acetone and then at the bottom a bowl with warm water it sounded pretty healing to me ha ha Ha thank you so much God bless

I love an efile. It's so fast. But I'd only recommend to use if you're familiar with using a dremmel. It's very easy to damage your cuticle if you're not careful, especially when using it with your non-dominant hand. Just be super careful if it's your fist time and don't go too deep or you can damage your nail as well.
Having just done my second dip mani, I really like the idea of the acetone in a baggie and hot water. I tried the clips and it took 30 minutes to get most of it off. Once the remainder of the powder re-solidifies, you'll have to repeat. May be better if I remove most with an efile (just be sure you still have color left. If not, you've gone too far).
I'm going to try the efile and clip method next. Seems like it would be great and should take half the time it does if you just remove the shiny layer. If that doesn't work, I'm going to try the baggie and hot water.

I have press-ons for 4 days now. I am doing an experiment. Normally if a nail fell off, I would re-stick it. But now, I just let it do whatever it wants. I am now left with 5 press-ons on, and the nails that last the longest are the pinky, and the ring finger (one thumb has a press-on too) . I am seeing how long they will last. I think about 3-4 more days
