my theory for Megaman appearing on battle chips and why some were retconned into featuring him is that some battle chips have a feature that shows the user's navi on the chip for.. some reason. like you buy a battle chip and when its loaded into your PET it uploads a portrait of your Navi to demonstrate the effect of said chip. maybe some chips support it and some don't. not a flawless theory but its grown into my headcanon.
With the English patch for Operate Shooting Star, one of the L button/tap screen conversations between Subaru/Geo and Netto/Lan mentions a student with the last name of Hoshikawa/Stellar in Netto's class that always seems to be staring off into space with grades no better than Netto himself. Subaru thinks this could be an ancestor of his and thinks to himself, 'Good luck, ancestor,' or something to that effect. If this is considered series canon, then Subaru and his father are not related to or descendants of Mejin/Famous but of this mysterious Hoshikawa with no given name.
In MMBN(1), there is a Mailing List that someone adds you to in order to assist you. The Mailing List is used by Official Netbattlers in order to trade information like Program Advances and virus advice. After beating Ice Man, I think Chaud sends an email to the Mailing List talking about how ice attacks are Aqua or Water based. Pretty sure that's what's being referred to by the submission mentioned at 19:17.

I may have an embarrassing moment of having one of the first Ceruledge and Armourouge memes on the internet, the "can I copy your homework" one with Dark Megaman and Heat Guts Style Megaman, so it was cool to hear that stuff mentioned. I legit saw the designs and then made the meme very quickly
I want one of two thing. Either, 1: A sequel focused on Patch where Megaman Jr is upgraded to X, a new type of Navi. Zero gets an upgrade too, at the cost of needing an operator, who would be one of Chaud's coworkers. Eventually Chaud's kid would get Axl. Art of new Navis would be inspired by the sleek navi-like style of the Zero games. Or 2: A game where we play as Patch and they retcon the megaman Jr thing so that we get an in depth Navi character character creator. Your opening folder would be based on the weapons/skills your Navi has built in.
It made me really happy to see the entries I suggested! And no wonder I could not find anything about Battle Network Legacy! It is very easy to get it confused with the Legacy Collection due to the similar names! (*SIGH*) The more I hear about Star Force 4, the more I am saddened at the fact that there is the possibility that game could have possibly elaborated on why Navis suddenly disappeared during the Star Force era.
Me personally, I like to think that Zero found a home in the Secret Area and became one of the guards there. Serenade gave him a home since his frightening visage would keep him away from traditional navi gathering spaces.
As for why Hub is on so many battle chips, I personally believe those chips have a stand-in navi until they're scanned by yourPET, and your ownanviappears on there. BUtthose are both headcanons. :)
I appreciate this headcanon, because the old rumor about how to find Zero in BN3 said he was on the platform where you fought Serenade in Secret Area 3.

There might be a real Sasaki Kojirou but if there was, he was lost to history.

I would love to see you doing a long and deep video dedicated to the anime continuity, including the undubbed seasons! The anime ends up deviating a lot from the games. It creates a whole new gimmick to bring the Navis to the real world. And Duo is insanely OP. Duo in the anime is pretty much omnipotent, he can erase Earth as if it was the most casual thing to do (and also restore it easily). In that sense, he is the Galactus of the anime verse. The characters obviously stand no chance against him, so the only way they manage to avoid destruction is by convincing Duo to not do so. It’s more complex than that, but I want to avoid deep spoilers.
31:00 - While it’s pretty clear that Lan and Hub are that absolutely busted in the grand scheme of things, Death Battle’s logic for downplaying Geo and Omega-Xis was absolutely backwards. They were talking about EXE, who was more or less at his weakest (this being his first game), as if he we were in his prime when he got his fluke win over Geo, who’s from after everything in his final game, seemingly lacked access to his Noise powers, and was still holding back considerably. It’s like they just looked at the fight on its own, assumed both sides were at their end of series peaks, and disregarded any of the proper context. Their whole argument regarding the crossover fight went right out the window after ClockMan was beaten and Geo gave Lan a small piece of his power, which became a program that let the kid Operate a functional copy of himself that directly compared to EXE at the time and pull off all of the same in-game feats as him. Furthermore on Operate Shooting Star, there’s Vs. Bass in the Star Coloseum. Which is a multiplayer minigame where MegaMan, ProtoMan, and/or Geo fight Bass on an overworld. Which is fine and dandy at first glance… then you remember that it’s physically impossible for Mega, Proto, or the Geo copy to beat Bass during the time frame of the first game; Network Transmission painted Bass as too strong for Lan and Hub to hurt with their buster (and they couldn’t even properly entertain him in battle till the end of 2, where he was still holding back considerably) while Chaud thought Bass was just a legend until Lan confirmed he was real in 3. MegaMan only became comparable to Bass at the end of 3 and then his outright better in the post-game (after which Lan and Hub are consistently portrayed as kinda still afraid of him but consistently capable of driving him off without shenanigans. And ProtoMan was only kinda in Bass’ ballpark around the time of 4, 4.5, and 5, courtesy of 4.5’s credit showing him hurting Bass and, with MegaMan’s help, beating him with Double Hero. Furthermore, Bass in the minigame is immune to Buster attacks from the player courtesy of having a Dark Aura or Black Barrier on him 24/7 while his attack animation is the Buster Rake from 4 onward, so it’s pretty implicitly clear he’s from 4.5 or 5 in-game. And yet here Geo is able to race around Bass and bomb him to hell like the Navis could. … man that was a ramble. Whoops.

Like how Kozmos are a mashup of Star Wars and Wizard of Oz, SPYRALS are MGS crossed with James Bond, Elemental Heroes are based on American comic superheroes (although some of the manga ones not so much and Neos is based on Guyver), Destiny Heroes (excluding the ones from Arc-V) are based on British pop fiction and Masked Heroes are based on tokusatsu "henshin heroes" like Super Sentai/Power Rangers and Kamen Rider (mostly Kamen Rider). Plus there's the cards that are straight up just Konami characters. Ultimate Baseball Kid is a Power Pro, the BES monsters, the -Itsu (guy) weirdos riding paper planes from Parodious, Jade Knight, Gradius itself, Moai Intercepter Cannon, Solar Flare Dragon, Goe Goe is Mystical Ninja Goemon, Sasuke Samurais are Sasuke from Mystical Ninja Goemon, DDR - Different Dimension Reincarnation (ay ay ay I'm your little butterfly / green black and blue makes the colors in the sky), and Space Mambo is a Space Manbow reference (you can even see the Space Manbow in the card art off in the distance). Oh and Salamandra is a reference to the Gradius spinoff Salamander somehow.
