- Yesterday at TrackMania's Cup of the Day, we played a very unique map.
The map weas built by Aries, a mapper who builds very unique sceneric tracks which usually are very controversial. While some people appreciate the creativity and diversity, many Trackmania players just straight up dislike his maps.
Personally, I really like creative and unique maps in Cup of the Day! They make COTDs, a daily tournament hosted more than 1,000 times already, way more fun than the usual ones. And this also was the case yesterday: The track and knockout were so chaotic, I had the time of my life :D
Cup of the Day (COTD) is the biggest competition in TrackMania with thousands of players each day that is getting played on the latest Track of the Day being available for everyone with a paid access to the game.
Format explanation:
-15min time attack seeding
-players will be put into divisions of 64 according to the final ranking after the seeding
-knockout mode of these 64 players in each division until 1 player wins with the following knockout repartition: 64-17 players = 4 KOs/round; 16-9 players = 2 KOs/round; 8-2 players = 1 KO/round

People are insane at this game. Granady is just the tip of the iceberg, lol.
People like Granady, Scrapie and other top players have up to 10-15.000 hours of gameplay. These guys are insane at the game .

@@repit5014wdym he is in a lot of parts of the game one of the best. Most cotd he is first in seeding at the 5 min mark. Sure there are better players in a lot of styles but over all granady is def one of the best.

I know I'd have died hard over and over on it, but this map actually looked really fun. It should at least get points for novelty, which is not so common in TOTD these days it seems...

This was my first Cotd and i was able to finish a whopping 3 runs in 15 minutes lol

I agree with VC guys. The concept of this map is super cool, but it's a shame it was put as almost stright line. Fun to watch nontheless when Div1 keep crashing xdd

I'd call this style Rally. Very linear, weird surfaces, no real room for error otherwise you get into a brief altercation with yonder tree.
