"I really wanna D you, Lord" had me rolling! Thanks for this! ❤️
It absolutely made my day
Lucky there ain't no F in the song!
Man. This guy really loves Jesus. Like ... REALLY loves him.
Thank you. I've always loved this song. Now 46 years later - I can finally play it. You've made this 65 year old very happy!!
Rich S
Way to go man

Thank you
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow forgot the password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Kyle Jayden Instablaster :)
I recently heard this song in Guardians of the Galaxy and fell in love with it because of the guitar. Typed "george harrison my sweet lord guitar lesson" soon as I got back home from the theater, and I think for one moment there I was the happiest person alive because I found that you've done a tutorial on this beautiful song. Clicked the like button before I even started the video. Your videos are awesome! Thanks!
Haha same thing happened to me a day ago! Cheers!
Tks so much, JustinGuitar. Your explanation of the "push" (offbeat chord change) is exactly what I needed to hear to get this song down just right. Oy, mate.
The greatest song ever written. I love the chord progression and the key change up one step. It just flows like magic. And the words on the record cover, "All things must pass away." It's so true that one must think about it for life. And I love the way George starts with Hallelujah (Christian), and then changes to include all religions. George Harrison was called the quiet Beatle. We didn't know how great he was until after the death of the Beatles. But he left the world with a song that will go on for eternity. Playing it is so much more powerful than listening to it. Thank you for your music George!
George was reported to say "If we had known we would be the Beatles we would have tried harder."
You come across as such a genuine, nice guy and your lessons are awesome. Thank you
You and Andy guitar are THE best 2 teachers on THE internet. Í started as à complete beginner and NOw Í can play 10 songs. Thank you guys!!!
Can you do "Something" by George Harrison? That would be great... Really love that one
Baanger
That’s would really be something
You are a gift to the guitar community, thank you.
big thanks matey ...back to playing guitar after 13 year break. 56 now lol ...and i always wanted to play that song when i picked the guitar up in mid 30's. no youtube then lol only sheet music and trial and error. but to now...we very lucky to have people like you to help... many thanks God bless you for helping others.
Finally, someone who give you the key change!!! Awesome job as always Justin!
Who could ever give Justin a thumbs down? Great job!
Shawn Hale maybe they really thought he wanted to D them? :-\
Justin, you're the man, can we get a lesson on "What is life" by George??

You are my favorite on line teacher thus far. I love the way you sing the chords in place of the lyrics. Very personable and I am so happy to have found you. Thank you from Canada.
By Far the best teacher on the net
But not the best voice.
newsveteran this is a guitar lesson, not a vocal lesson! At least appreciate his contribution!
Not as good as Marty Schwartz
Favourite song for soooo long now and it's not getting bored a bit
Thanks for sharing this. I haven't gotten the chords yet since I'm a beginner but this really helped me with strumming.
You are just fantastic.
I love the way you sing the notes. Absolutely fantastic. Thanks again. A fan for life.
It's really amazing to see your singing improved in your recent videos. I have been watching your videos for all that time and what a progress!
I have been playing and busking this for decades.
I just wanted to hear it again.
,
Thanks again Justin. How about Here Comes the Sun and Here Comes the Moon as companion lessons. I know both songs, but I think people would really like it if you walked them through them. I really miss George. Take care!
I wish you would have done this prior to last September. I had to learn this in one week to play at my Mom's funeral. I mostly let my Sister drown me out with the piano. It worked out fine anyway. Great song! Oh, then we played "In My Life". The fact that I played at all is due to what I've learned from Justin. Thanks again Mate.
Justin, As much as I love playing, and have done so for over 50 years, I sit many times just to watch your infectious enthusiam in your instruction. To my surprise, I have a golden ticket from your cd a few years back...keep up your terrific and generous work..........AL
There's old dogs out here like Me that need refreshers on certain ones for Whatever reason and you Nailum!
Thank you for All your hard work because I Know it's not simple to do what you do. With all of those Great ole folky camp fiery favorites you are right on man!
🙏Kudos
Never heard of George Harrison, but yes the Beatles I have heard about, but never listen to. And even if I had heard of this man I never heard this song. Among with the most other songs that Justin does lessons on.
Thank you so much for this lesson again, waiting for the books, you really learned me to play and stay focussed, so thanks again.
Great tutorial chum. I love this song, and it sounds close, if not exactly like the way George Harrison recorded it. I tip my hat to your dedication in putting together this instructional video on line for those who appreciate it. Many thanks! Cheers!
Justin! A big thank you for all your online lessons, I made incredibly fast progress the first month of the beginners course but like a lot of folk got stuck on the dreaded F Chord, could not seem to get my fingers in the right place at all it'd been like 3 weeks. Watching this video I tried to copy your finger positions then put my first finger on the back of the neck after (lower down than I was holding it before), and voilà now have it! Not sure if you'll ever read this but thanks very much!
I have always loved this song. Used to play this 45 when I was a kid.
Justin, thank you for all your work, and talented explanation. Your presentation style can't be beat!
Love Your lessons~BEEN PLAYING FOR 40+ YEARS & JUST TO WATCH YOU ONCE~does it ~CRS??? You remind me.
Learned this tune just a few days ago with barre chords. Nice tune, great singing, awesome guitar and amazing teacher. Thumbing up and praying for more. THANKS
Thanks for this one, it has some fancy chords that i was struggling to find by ear. Slide will be a piece of cake, like a walk on cloud nine
So eager to get my guitar out tonight to play this one. Heard it on the radio and wondered of Justin had a guide. Cant stop watching this haha, gunna smash it
You're the best guitar teacher ❤ from Bangalore, India
Sounds awesome on a 12 string! I had to transpose it because I tune down to C#.
When you play Am its the same as Em with the capo on fret 2 so I stay in the right key. This allows me to do the "slide" part with double stops.
Thw person who can play this song is blessed...
THAT WAS ............................... SWEET ! ........................ MA LORD !
Dude you just saved my skin! I've been struggling with this one for weeks trying to work on it for an upcoming gig. This is a version I can play. Many thanks and keep rocking!
Justin, I keep coming back to you for more and more! Rock on!
G'day Justin, this is a great break down of song. Thanks for doing a great job and uploading all of the songs that you do....
This is great! Thanks for what you do Justin .
I love this ❣️ Too advanced for me right now. Another good one is Give Me Love by George Harrison . Love love that one too‼️
How is it possible for two chords to be so instantly recognizable??
Thanks for the lesson Justin, and some nice singing there at the start :-) Long time watcher who struggles with vocals here
Damn dude that was great! ... I love this song. Thanks for posting this. .
Thanks Justin for another brilliant tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to help others
Justin, I appreciate the way you choose which songs to do lessons on. each lesson has one thing which would make people better at playing guitar. Keep up the good work. And please conduct a guitar workshop in India.
Justin, man, you are just great. Thanks for this and all your videos, Nick
Man!! This guy is awesome dude so full of humor and good explaining
George would be proud of you justin , blessings
Thanks Justin. You are a really good teacher. I will try this song in my "Country Brazilian Guitar" wiht some adjustments.
Nice Lesson Justin. It's Sweet that You Pass these Lesson onto US. ♫
Thanks for f diminished (relative to the capo) , good job!
Liebe Grüße aus München von einem großen Fan. Justin du bist einzigartig 👍 vielen Dank du bist ein super Lehrer
You are to Good Justin Love your teaching mate all the best from Jimmy of Warrnambool,Victoria, Australia.
there is an 'easy' 4 string Bm chord available XX0432. which is just a pinky move from the D and you can keep your 1 finger in place for the D chord when you lift the pinky :) I got this one because I play Baritone Ukulele as well and this song is easy on that.
Never stop. You rock, literally
You can use the same chord shapes for the F#dim as you use for the Fdim to the B before the modulation. This way you only have to move one finger just as you did before.
Think of it as moving the capo up two frets for the modulation.
Thanks..very thorough, but easy to follow
Hey man...gotta say...I really enjoy your guitar tutorial/lessons. You make them fun straight foward!
Thanks for the Lesson Justin, you're great!!!
That's alot of chords to remember. But i took off the capo and played the e mi and a maj and remembered that old zombies song "she's not there". That was a great song. Maybe you have it on your site? Will look. Thanks for the lesson And the inspiration.
Thx Justin for this lesson. One more for me! 😜🌺🌺
Thanks Justin! I found that the F#dim. chord is basically the D major formation moved down one string (down is toward low E?) and add the pinky on the E (first) string. Once I got a hold of that it was easy. I'm going to work on this and see if I can get it. It takes me awhile because I'm still pretty much an intermediate-beginner.
Thanks once again for posting a great lesson- I am learning slowly from being a 40 something beginner and your lessons are inspirational
More power to your strumming hand my friend !
Justin I recently started using a "Shrub" (I think it is?) capo & they are *MUCH* better than those straight clamp ones. You can adjust the grip on them &, I imagine, similar models. I just find with those clamp ones, & especially after awhile, they lose their grip.
Great tutorial chap. Thanks. Loved that bridge.
This was an Important lesson for me as thought I had it all figured out. That dim chord that goes to the B7 was key.. I was just using a B7 and letting the 6th string off and on..I use that exact dim chord later on from the E to C7 that differs from your tutorial but it works for me..I enjoy and learn much from your videos and even sent you some American Cash for support but never heard a word??
Excellent Justin. Thank you so much.
You are an awesome human being!
TY very much Justin. I love this song so much. And for me it's another very good song to work my bar chords. I love the rhythm where the chord change happens on the Upstrum but i have really big trouble changing to the Bar Bminor from the D on the upstrum . I think it's because of the 2 factors : change on upstrum + change to bar chord from open chord...guess it's the next step after switching from open to barre on simple basic downstrum, let's work on this ! ty again
Awesome! I was waiting for this one. Thank you very much Justin!
World's GREATEST Song !
Justin your an amazing guitar player and tutor love your lessons amazing mate.
music is music man no matter ho plays or sings the song
Great lesson boss !
You are awesome, Justin! Thanks!
Great lesson mate! I'd send you money if I had some if you need it for a new couch.
hi bud, I' m trying to learn { the look} from roxette but getting stuck on the solo and also the begining of the song could you do a close up of these please, cheers mate,
your teaching is awsome i've learned a few song because of you thanks geoff.
Excellent teacher! Thanks a lot!
Great guitar lesson !!!
"My F sharp minor" love this lesson !!
Janisse - another good one to try similar transition is Norwegian Wood, another upstrum from D to Bm...but much different song. I just happened to take this on right after that ...and was having similar challenges with it. Doing same thing on this song rounded it out for me. I think Justin also has a Norwegian Wood lesson...
That is a cool video and worth further study. Thanks, Justin. You're also a difficult guy to write coherent notes.
Hey Justin - Thanks for another great tutorial. This one sold me on the acoustic song book (BTW imagine what digital download will do for the impulse buy sales). Just saying. Really appreciate the free stuff and for sale stuff is always a great value-thanks for all.
He is famous for you and many others. That doesnt mean that EVERYBODY knows who he is! I had never heard of him. And I had never seen him before either. I guess he was big in the UK, and maybe I had heard of him if I lived there.
Beautiful thanks and I have said it before but your Maton sounds so sweet !!
Thanks Justin. Very enjoyable and looking to trying it.
Excellent instruction. Thank you very much.
that F m Dim, is a finger nightmare... time for my brain to go to work!!!!! ill get it!
Thank Justin.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS!
I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure it's Fdim7, b7, Em. Not F#dim, b7, Em for the "but it takes so long my lord" part. Has the same chord shape as an F#dim but the root note he's playing is just F on the third fret 4th string. Fdim7 = F Ab Cb Ebb which i'm pretty sure is what he's playing. correct me if i'm wrong, i'm learning.
Now that you've played this song. Please chant HARE KRISHNA and be happy
My favorite song... thanks Justin!
thanks for the lesson
No worries!
Cheers 😊
