The Battle Cats - Grotesque Gallery (Nightmare Edition)

- ngl I spend nearly 8 hours straight to edit this video (+2 hours of recording footage). This might be one of the work that I'm really proud of (other one is Lasvoss) so I would be really happy if you support me in some way (like is enough). My view count is below average during my hiatus period and that's make me feel burnout sometimes but I promise to keep making video for the viewers.
Grotesque Gallery
This is the 42th chapter in Story of Legends and pretty well-known as the chapter with the weirdest gimmick in the game. Most of them need to play in the right way to beat it. Otherwise, the super buffed enemy will annihilate you. This is the point of the video. I want to make that impossible become possible in some way. It's been 4 years since this chapter came out so it could be beatable now so I add some little challenge on some stage. The detail of each stages will be labeled below.
0:00 Intro
The order of the stage are swapped due to the suitability of the video.
0:26 Atrocious Deco (3 Stars)
This stage is well-known as BOSS RUSH stage. Each BOSS will appear (with 2 Squire Rels) after the player deal 10% of Enemy Base or 150k damage. Since Warlock & Pierre has extremely high damage against base, it can triggered all BOSS at once. This challenge is easy nowadays and can be attempted with No Uber (exclude W&P).
2:41 Baroque Beasts
This stage is one of Timer Stage. If you can't destroy the base within 3 minutes, 3 Super buffed CyberFace will appear and kill you. If player encounter them unprepared, they has highly chance to die. It's not hard at all even with 3 stars but I choose to do 1 star because E.Kubilan has enough damage to kill them and it is way more satisfied.
4:13 Cubist Crime
The infamous stage and the worst stage to appear in Legend Quest. The normal way to clear this stage is to destroy the enemy base in a single hit. Otherwise, The Ultimate Brollows will annihilate you. If you spend more than 1 minute, Brollow also appear too. In the old day, this challenge is impossible but since PONOS introduce "Dodge Attack" to the game, this challenge can now beatable. It still depends on luck anyway.
- Ultimate Brollow: This Brollow has the same magnification with Brollow in Throne of Phone which is the strongest Brollow in the game. It has 600k damage in 1 star which is enough to mostly kill any single units in the game.
7:45 Surrealist Sins (4 Stars)
This is also Timer Stage. A super buffed Assassin Bear will appear if you can't destroy Doge Base within 2 minutes. There are a bunch of ways to get rid of this bear so I choose some unique way like Doron surge.
8:59 Gouache Ghouls (3 Stars)
This stage claimed to be the weirdest gimmick of all time. If you triggered their base, the limitless of Ultra Boosted Angel Enemies will appear and kill you. Even people that well-prepared for them, most of them die within a seconds. You have to stall the first gory for 66 seconds and wait until MS.Sign spawn then you're free to hit their base. They can't spawn anymore because of Unit Deploy Limit. There is some information that I want to mention about these enemies.
For this run, there is money insufficient problem. You have to kill them to gain some money for my unit but they're extremely tough especially in 3 stars. Since they keep spawn unlimited, the only way to beat the stage is to push it back with Kubilan Pasalan. You should be fine as long as it survive.
- Demonic Gory: These gory has OVER 1 MILLION HEALTH AND CAN TANK 2 HITS FROM BENKEI WTF!! Only single of them has DPS of 3 RAZORBACKS COMBINED WTF!!
- Nightmare Sleipnir: These Sleipnir HP is even higher than Hermit from Heavenly Tower. You need a total 10 HITS FROM BENKEI to kill a single one of them...
- Hellfish Jones: This Jones claimed to be the enemy with the highest health in the game with 15.6 MILLIONS Health for 3 stars. Not even Walpurgisnacht can beat it. This Jones took the crown for over 4 years and no one can dethrone it.

It might be sad if I didn't include this stage in this video because it is the part of Grotesque Gallery so I add some little challenge like "Clear the stage with Full HP Base" which is kinda hard because it is the shortest stage within the game and Croakley has super high range. The weird thing about this stage might be its size but it is super easy stage.

But we had (maybe almost) everyone to beat gouache ghouls since it came to game....

Edit: I did the math and 3 razorbacks has slightly higher DPS than 1 demonic gory
even completely maxed out ramen dies in only 6 hits, still only 8 with optimal combos o_o

Chillhola went from calling Gouache Ghouls Angels impossible without hacks, to killing just a few of them, to humiliating them and winning against them. How much has changed over the years...

I've been watching your stuff since The Battle Cats came out and the older version of nightmare angel stage: Gouache Ghouls was the coolest video I had watched on UA-cam. Seeing you replay these stages again and hearing my favourite Calamity mod theme play was also one of the coolest things ever. Your content is amazing and I appreciate you posting your battle cats feats it brings a single tear to my eye.
One of my fav things about the videos are that the music syncs up with the boss wave. It's awesome.

To anybody having trouble with Gouache ghouls, don’t try to be the level. Stall the angelic gory in the beginning as he is very weak, then wait till you see “too slow try harder” as they will spam out, and then kill the gory, then it’s GG from there.
Imagine seeing chilhola beat gouache Gould like this and going: “Yeah I can do that, there’s totally no gimmick involved.”
Great video. I remember the videos about grotesque gallery, when some of these levels couldn't be beaten in that form

Great video. I actually pulled off something like your Surrealist Sins strategy by accident when I tried doing it in 4c. For some reason my Supercat didn't block the wave and it killed my ABC, so I sent Jellyfish, and with a wave from an attack killed the Assasin Bear that just so happened to spawn. It was a real breath of fresh air because Cubist Crimes was a real fucking crime.

i actually beat the baroque beasts challenge during my actual play-through. I had no idea there were cyberfaces and I managed to kill them with my cameraman.
I like how you use Scal Theme For Gouache Ghouls
It'd be cool if the ingame sprite of certain enemies on certain strength % got changed to look like the art used in this video, with the red outline or something like that, so stuff like a 4,000%+ brollow, 4,500%+ assassin bear, 1,000%+ ang gory/slepinir/sunfish, so on
